Rohit is in his usual knick but consistently failing to play big innings. First choice opener Jaiswal is struggling with the bat, Kohli is looking good but a lot of questions about his SR. In the middle order, Hardik Pandya looks terrible because of the way he's batting. Our other all-rounder Jadeja is also not looking good.

IMO it's ok if Rohit plays rather small but quick innings, as in 40 off 20 balls and similar. For Jaiswal I agree, Kohli I'm ok with his odd 120-130 SR innings as long as on other end batsman plays aggressive and helps India to put up good total on board. On Pandya, I feel like he wants to prove himself as a captain for MI and is under pressure, hopefully he'll get out of it at least after IPL ends. For Jadeja, I never liked him as a batsman, as spinner he takes crucial wickets which I'm in for.

Rinku Singh should be in t20wc squad, he has been supremely consistent. Other young bloods, I don't trust much, they usually choke.

He won't deliberately exclude Hardik from the squad he will find a genuine reason for doing that. MSD did it several times if you remember how Abati Raydu was suddenly removed from the team and how Gangul was shut up when he questioned his removal. There were news reports where Rohit had a spat with Hardik before yesterday's game and he has said that he won't be part of the MI team in the next season. Things are not as rosy as they seem between these two guys but this is cricket and it is a gentleman's game anything can happen.

I feel these two will do something bad with Hardik, I think it is a hunch. Mota bhai's wife is not happy with the outcome of MI till now. They won the last match does not mean they will continue to do that in the next. I feel we will be hearing a lot of gossip till the IPL 2024 season ends and if Hardik can get back the team to top 3 then it will be a different scenario.

Gill is a different material, and the young lad is doing well with the responsibility of captainship. He would make a difference in this IPL both as a captain and as an opening batter till now his captaincy has be spot on and his batting has not been that good as he was before.

It looks like another dull day in the IPL, it happened with both matches yesterday and the same thing is happening tonight.

IDK what to make out of it. The pitch is slow, bowlers are too good or batters are just shitting the bed? Below-par score and dew play its part so it should be a cakewalk for the CSK, unless they are in the mood for some royal choking.

CSK are likely to win today's match after losing two matches in a row and if they can bat well enough then a win with KKR is possible. CSK will be able to reach the score that KKR made today very easily, 138 runs will not be too much pressure for them, as no wicket has fallen so far, CSK is likely to win this match comfortably.

Adjusting to pitch like Chennai is hard job especially after they are playing in pace friendly conditions sonI would blame the batters for not bringing their Top performance.

I did not understand what went wrong as this is the same team that got 200+ runs on the scoreboard and yesterday they didn't even get to 150. Today we have PBKS VS SRH and both teams have won 2 games each out of the 4 they played. I would like to see a good close match between these two teams.

Being an IPL match I never expected that the curators would come up with a pitch that is good for bowlers. I still think that the game was lost by KKR because they became overconfident with their approach. They did get Rinku Singh more down the order but that did not work and none of their famous batters did good with the bat. BTW, Dhoni not able to grab an easy catch shows he should now retire completely from every form of cricket. He is no more the keeper we thought and no more the batter he used to be. It is always the age factor and it would be right for him to retire rather than make a joke of himself as an icon.

Tushar Deshpande who hitted The Kolkata Knight Riders squad early on and it is natural for a team to be under pressure if they lose their wicket on the first ball. Sunil Narine and Angkrish RaghuVangshi were able to handle the pressure of Kolkata Knight Riders losing that wicket to some extent, but the subsequent batsmen could not bring much success to Kolkata Knight Riders.

What you are saying is correct: these guys won because of bowling. Which according to my understanding was prism perfect accompanied with their fielding. But, the question is was the pitch a factor or the bowlers? Without a pitch and the conditions, bowlers are not that good. CSK for the first time won the toss but opted to bowl first which suggests that the pitch could be one of the reasons.

Dhoni got a flying catch and he scored 37 of 16 against DC proves to me that age is just a number.

I bet that he can score a lot if he bat up the order, but he keeps himself for the finisher role and there is really few players in the world will give a feeling for the opposition that match isn't over yet as long as he is in the crease and he is one of that kind.

I wholeheartedly agree here. Fans always want their favorites to play longer but it's good idea for player to retire on a good note rather than prolonging their career past their prime.

Like you I am also a MSD fan but behind the wicket if he is not able to deliver then there is an issue. Above all he looks clumsy and tired to me when he is a WK. We Indians still say that DRS was invented because Dhoni review system could be challenged

Yup! Retire like a legend rather drag oneself for money. I think money is not that important for MSD but he still wants to prove his fitness and that is what is stopping himself from retirement in IPL. Although his fan following is enormous but after leaving his captaincy CSK I think this will be his last season. Next, we might see him as a coach or mentor for CSK.

Hypothetically big headache for the selectors if Kohli and SKY were not there but still I believe they should at least have some sort of discussion in the selection meeting, at least for Sanju as WK batsman.
