That's a good suggestion tho, but if a person knows how to handle well their own finances, their own self and decision making then I think there's now way telling them to stop doing gambling and just focus in investment. I guess he has money to spend on his investment but its better to suggest what better figure he should use for his gambling activity since maybe he's confused on what figures is best to used since maybe he want to have proper budgeting on all activities he want to do. True, it is a good budget to allocate to your or anyone's gambling habit by only using 5 - 10% of the total monthly income, however this is the amount that I think is enough to gamble and with this amount I think you will get enough fun or thrill to keep yourself entertained. On the other hand you suggest a pretty good alternative which is to look for an additional job or part-time job to get additional income to use as funds that will meet your gambling needs, and in this way your monthly salary from the main job will not be disturbed. Yes, it's true that using money that is ready to be lost doesn't mean that all salary money is used for gambling, every gambler must have a budget limit so that they don't get addicted to gambling and control it well. It is difficult because there is no allocation percentage to be allocated for gambling. Instead of using only a small amount for gambling, what might happen is that more than 50% of your salary is used for gambling without you noticing.
