Liverpool maintained their perfect record at the top of the table, and the goal was a lucky goal for Liverpool because the only goal came from a penalty taken by Salah in the 63rd minute and he successfully converted.
I think Girona played very well and proved that they can play well against Liverpool and this match was the first match between the two teams and besides that the host Girona was also able to maintain a solid defense, only there was a mistake in the penalty box after Luiz Diaz was fouled in the 61st minute which gave Liverpool the advantage with a penalty kick. And if that didn't happen I think the final result of the match would have been a draw.

Although only 1 goal ahead, that too from a penalty, I admit that Girona played quite well and was able to balance Liverpool attacks. Luiz Diaz made several stabs towards the penalty box but Girona solid defense line was able to overcome his movements. For Girona the final result was not the goal because they had worked hard in their first season. Liverpool 6 games without defeat had already ensured qualification.

Don't forget that Aston Villa, the EPL representative, also won 3 points. The game was very tight, exciting and counterattacked.

On the other hand Madrid also got out of the threat zone and won 3 points over Atalanta. Mbappe scored 1 goal but there was still a lot of work for Ancelotti because there were still many mistakes in the defense. Luckily they have a goalkeeper as great as Courtois who made many saves. Without him, Madrid could have lost points today.

It was an amazing and interesting first half as both teams played pretty good. I never expected such impressive performance from Girona because they created more chances of scoring than Liverpool. Liverpool found it difficult to penetrate Girona defense because it was tight. The first half ended goalless and I believe that the deadlock will be broken in second half.

Looking at the recent statistics or both teams, it will be difficult to predict which club will win this game. Real Madrid seems to have recovered from the challenges they had few weeks ago when their performance reduced maybe due to the injury of some key players. It looks like coach Carlo Ancelotti have devised some mean to maximize the players at his disposal.

Atalanta are currently the league leaders in Seria A. Foe now they are one of the most dreaded side in Europe. They have some strikers that are dangerous to any defense. But from the look of things now it seems Real Madrid will win this game. It's almost getting to the end of the match and the score is currently 2-3.

Atalanta has always been tough in European games since last season, so I knew it wasn't going to be an easy game for Real Madrid, though I anticipated them to win by a tiny margin in order to maintain their hopes of finishing in the qualifying position and avoiding the difficult playoff stage. They are now three points behind the qualification places with two games remaining.

Liverpool will be visiting Girona tonight and it will be a fresh start for Liverpool since they lost that chance of getting all 3pt from Newcastle but settled for a draw to get 1pt,

Do you think this match will be as interesting as there match with Newcastle United?, however is been a while we saw Liverpool at the first position on both the premier League and the champions League at the same time, though the hort time of both leagues is very near so I hope they would not backslide, after wining Girona this time they will have 17 points but Inter Milan may not be fortunate today because Bayern Leverkusen can resist them, Atalanta and Real Madrid also have match today, however it seems Liverpool can even have more cup this season because I'm confident that EFL cup is for them because they will send Southampton home on this Quarter finals they would be playing soon.

Wasn't expecting more in this encounter because the home side was never giving the visitors a tough time, they can't hold on to the pressure coming from Liverpool and it seems like Girona has already given up and the home side felt relax after having the first and only goal. I think Liverpool didn't take the game as serious as the game against Newcastle, well they are leaders in both the UCL and EPL, that's something we hardly see. Is good to see the Reds still doing well since after Klopp left the side and I'd say Klopp left a better project for Slot to  continue from where he stopped, I hope this consistency is not affected injury.

I expected a draw tonight or Atalanta winning but as I’ve said Real Madrid are full of surprises  , they proved it once again lol. The game almost ended with a draw though because real mardrid  conceded goals just that  Bellingham goal gave a major conclusion for todays win from the team. They needed the game and they secured it , that’s brilliant .. Atalanta on the other hand  tried their best , they are not too affected though, currently on 9th position and they will  drop more after tomorrow’s game but they should still meet up for the playoff .

Both teams could have won the match. Girona had opportunities, they didn't take them well. Liverpool, who didn't rotate because the Everton game was postponed, also missed goals but a penalty saved them. Winning all 6 games is a great achievement. In the old format there were teams that made 6 out of 6 but in this new format they were the first team to do it. They still have two games to go and they are already guaranteed to finish in the top 8. They will win the remaining games against Lille and PSV under normal circumstances, but Slot is likely to rotate more and give youngsters a chance.

I have two matches for today. I think Brest will beat PSV on their home field.
Even though Brest has been out of form in their own league at times, they are in good form in the Champions League and Psv is a team equal to them.

In less than 5 minutes the referee should be ending the game which means Real Madrid have succeeded in defeating Atalanta by 2:3 all the way from Spain. Ancelotti will be happy with his team because they didn't have the best of performance tonight but they were able to utilize their best chances to score that is why they stayed ahead of the game till the final minutes, Mbappe set the away team ahead with his early goal before picking up an injury and coming to the second half they managed to score 2 goals before Atalanta got their second but the Ancelotti boys managed to hold on to their goal despite their injuries and at the end the game ended in their far, they proved that they can still win champions league matches despite their poor form ans injuries this season.

Real Madrid did the needful because if they had lost this game, then they would have been out of the competition. It's good to see them fighting hard again to keep their hopes alive in this competition, because from what we've seen so far, it seems this new format isn't favouring some of these top teams, because I don't really understand how brest will be in top 8 when there are other top teams. That aside, mbappe got injured In the game, which is another blow for real madrid. Some player made returns from injury, and now, a player is going back to injury. I hope it isn't that serious, and he recovers quick. They are currently in 18th position with 9 points, which doesn't look good at all considering the fact that they're having 2 games left. A must win might help them, but who knows.

As for the Leverkusen/Inter game, it was quite a boring game that looked almost like a fixed match. Inter literally came for a draw because they felt that they where in a perfect position to qualify. But unfortunately for them, Leverkusen happened at the late minute. I think they will be in regret for traveling to Germany with a mindset to draw.

We have other fixtures tomorrow. After that, the table will take another shape, as teams will start accepting their fates.

Atlectico Madrid as I know them aren’t a team that is used to being more attacking and scoring more goals, they usually just seek back and prioritize on there defense with some counter attacks to get some advantage in the game. I really don’t think there would be an over 3.5 goal in this match but, it would be amazing to see it happen. They scored lots of goals over the weekend in the laliga, wouldn’t they be more careful in the champions league, even with a not so strong opponent.

Dortmund vs Barcelona on the other hand, it’s a difficult fixture really and with the fact that, Dortmund would be playing from a home side, we would expect them not to lose and I don’t think Barcelona would lose either. It’s an x2 double chance the way I see it.

PSV surprised me tonight and lost 1-0 to Brest.
They had many goal opportunities but couldn't score, it was a very important match for them but they couldn't take advantage of this opportunity.

Real Madrid beat Atalanta 3-2, we watched a fun and enjoyable match. Real Madrid increased its points to 9 with this victory.
They will play their last matches against Salzburg and Brest, it will be easy matches for Real Madrid.

While Mbappe scored for Real Madrid, his former club PSG are also leading dominating in their own game and are leading in the game against Salzburg by two goals. I am watching the game, and they have been very good with passing and creating chance for them to score. They are the away team, but because of how dominant they have been in the game, they now look like the home team. Liverpool continues to be impressive with winning games, I hope they can continue, and maybe they will win the champions league too as they have good claim on the Premier league as well.

PSG might have won convincingly but I'm not still convinced by this performance. They have been known to be very inconsistent in the Champions League this season. They played Salsburg today and that is a team that has managed only one win in the six games they've played this season so I don't think it was a difficult game. I understand that I don't give PSG so much credit but I'm just trying not to be too optimistic about them.

Atalanta always looks extraordinary and it cannot be denied that even though in this match they lost but they showed their best performance and were even able to reduce the gap to 2- actually it is proof that they do not want to give up just like that but indeed Madrid also want full points in this match so they try to keep securing 3 points so that they have a chance to stay in the Play off zone.

For Mbappe until now there is still no further news but hopefully this will not have an impact with a long injury because even though currently Mbappe's performance is still stagnant especially for finsihing problems but still he is still very much needed in the Madrid squad at this time.

This is not accurate; Girona dominated the first half and could have won the game if they had taken their chances. If you watched the game, you'd know that it was one of their hardest opponents this season. Both teams dominated either half of the game but Liverpool likely secured the three points thanks to an early penalty in the second half. They won the game, but we shouldn't have to dismiss opponents' efforts as nothing.

Manchester City right now is at its worst shape since years and it is the best opportunity for PSG to knock them. The problem is that PSG isn't that powerful too and they might lose points against them.
Otherwise today's game ended mostly as expected except maybe for Leipzig which lost against Aston Villa, which is good by the way. That's pretty optimistic.
The match went in favor of Real Madrid just because of a tiny distance. Seriously, I was expecting that Real Madrid would win, but the match results was ended up opposite of match expectations. Atlanta show up a such quite impressive performance. I was monitoring the match Atlanta players playing with full dominance. Real Madrid won the match by a very small margin. Atlanta tried hard to equalize, in the end Lookman put a very lovely driven cross into the box, but Retegui hit the ball wide. Due to which Atlanta was unable to win and ultimately Real Madrid won the match.
 
However, Real Madrid got more points. Now Real Madrid chances of qualifying in the UEFA Champions League have increased. Now let's see next whether real madrid shows its performance in the same way or not. Now Real Madrid's UCL match day 8 is against FC Red Bull Salzburg. The match between Real Madrid and Atalanta just started in some minutes ago and from the results given that, Real Madrid is Atalanta by 1-0  which is wonderful and fantastic performances from Madrid, because a lot of people’s was not expecting that this kind of performance for them; due to how they where performing poorly all this while: which people’s was saying that all the problems was from Mbappé, but tonight against Atalanta Mbappé have tear the net of Atalanta by scoring a fantastic goals with 10 minutes of time which is a smart move for Real Madrid.

Bayer Leverkusen played five defenders and that was quite surprising to me because if Bayer Leverkusen was built to have a strong attacking line then I think Bayer Leverkusen should only play four defenders or three defenders. But in this match, even though Bayer Leverkusen played at home, it seemed like they also played very carefully but even so, Bayer Leverkusen managed to have good dominance in this match. But even though Bayer Leverkusen played with good dominance in this match, it was still not easy for Bayer Leverkusen to score a goal, because Inter also played with a good and strong defense.

But unfortunately, even though Inter has been very impressive so far because they have never conceded, but in the end Bayer Leverkusen managed to break into Inter's goal. The game is almost about to end and it is just as expected, an exciting game full of goals and moments. Atlanta don’t seem to be able to win Real Madrid but they gave it a tough fight they scored 2 goals but wasn’t enough. Mbappe Vinicius and Bellingham were all on the score sheet today and it feels good to finally have Vinicius back, Real Madrid needed this win to climb up the standings to secure a spot in the next round. I expected Atlanta to be able to hold Real Madrid at home because they have the home advantage and also with their current form I expected more but this is football sometimes.

I already told somebody that the best Front liners Real Madrid should put forward for this game should be, Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and vinicius junior if he was available, the reason is simply, this guy's are a bit experience to handle an Atalanta side that is currently at their best performance this season especially in their home ground. Even with 3-2 lead, you could see how vigorous Atalanta was in equalizing the game but there was not enough time, so your expectations weren't totally out of it, Atalanta gave Madrid a tough game tonight, if not for the fact that it was Real Madrid, and we all know how good they are when the Champions league is involved, trust me the result of this game would have been a bit different.
