I have been thinking back and forth about Manchester City and I was so convinced that they need this one game where they turn it around last second, celebrate a great victory and regain their confidence. But when you watch their games, you can see that there are systematic problems within the team as they can't find the gaps anymore with their game that consists of a lot of passing around the box. Haaland is lost most of the time and he can't use his speed because the opponents almost never give him that space. He now has to play more like Lewandowksi and he doesn't have the quality when the ball is crossed in high like Ronaldo with his headers. It is a terrible game for him and he doesn't receive any great assists.

I would be very surprised if suddenly Manchester City rises out of the ashes and plays like they use to do in the past. It isn't a team that has a short term crisis. They have to sell Kevin De Bruyne, they have to let go of IIkay Gundugan, they'll need a replacement for Kyle Walker and also a new central defender who can do neat and proper defending job. Until they do that, they'll be no where near the top or being one of the best again. Since Rodri the world best player will be returning soon from injury,  his role can be overlooked but I doubt that. In the champions league,  I don't see them going far.

I don't think it's right to say that they will definitely lose. Because we can't know these things before the match is played. Any effective match can change the fate of the match. We have seen how Man City played without Kevin De Bruyne when he was injured. He plays a very important role in the team. If he is not on the team, then Man City should have got a replacement. Maybe that will be their main priority.
