It looks like winning Real Madrid has been the biggest achievement of Mikel Arteta since he became Arsenal manager. He has been so obsessed with the win, but he has forgotten that winning Real Madrid won't hand him the champions league. Arteta is not humble in his interviews that he has been granting ever since he won Real Madrid. One thing he should remember is that he is coming up against another Spanish coach who has achieved so many things as a manager. Luis Enrique has won treble with Barcelona. He is more experienced at this stage of football than Mikel Arteta. This is the first time Arteta is getting to the semi final stage as a manager. He should be a bit humble and know that winning Real Madrid is not the ultimate test in Uefa champions league.

This is a very wack mentality from the coach, coming out to say something like this, his a coach and his full aware that every game comes with its own tactics not to talk of a different team entirely. This kind of mind game is just wack, so because you beat Real Madrid means you're going to beat PSG, this same PSG side of this season that's even stronger than Real Madrid of now. I wonder how he was feeling yesterday when PSG were playing his team like a second tier team during the first 30 mood the game.

Anyway, nothing’s over yet—Arsenal can still turn this around… they just need to believe!

Arsenal has what it takes to overcome this tie, especially with Partey back in midfield, but they really have to dig in and be ready for it. they need to take the midfield completely away from PSG nd nullify the attack completely otherwise they wont be getting to the final. 

The first 25 minutes were boring because Arsenal were weak in attack, possibly due to the early goal they conceded, but toward the finish, they were pressuring PSG. Even as Arsenal played a fantastic game, they would still lose to PSG if they play in the second league like they did yesterday. This is because PSG's defense isn't as strong as Arsenal's, but it was easier for them to mark Arsenal players because only Bukayo was attacking and almost all of the passes went to his side. If Partey returns I hope there will be a lot of changes in the second league.

Although the performance of both teams disappointed me at the beginning, the way these two teams performed at the end made me feel like I was watching an El Clasico match. PSG and Arsenal were very aggressive towards the end and in the end, PSG scored a goal to secure the victory against Arsenal. Although the goal difference should have been higher because PSG made several attacks that Arsenal's goalkeeper alone prevented when trying to catch the attacks. The first leg match was held at Arsenal's home ground and Arsenal lost at their own home ground, so it is assumed that PSG will not be able to take much advantage in the second leg match that will be held in Paris. I have always said that in Champions League matches, the team that wins the first leg of the two legs is usually more likely to go to the next round, maybe considering that aspect, we are going to see PSG in the final.

After losing the first leg in front of their home fans, Arsenal now need a miracle in the second leg to qualify for the final. PSG managed to steal a win at the Emirates Stadium and make Arsenal their victim again after previously eliminating Liverpool and Aston Villa. PSG came to Arsenal's headquarters with high motivation, this victory is a good capital for them when playing at the Parc des Princes, Arteta must make changes if he wants to make a comeback in the 2nd leg.

Arsenal are not really in a tough spot that they would need a miracle to closed a goal disadvantage away. The second leg while PSG would be at home they know they are still in a very tough spot against the Gunners who also has a balanced defense and goalie, once they get their chances well it would be difficult for PSG to strike back.

The second leg would be a tough one. PSG first leg while at home against Aston Villa was an easy win but in the second leg Aston Villa got the win but unfortunately the goal difference from the first leg still cause them to lose their place to the semis. This game might just be that in the second leg Arsenal may just be the victor, getting an away win against PSG and qualifying to the final this season.

In terms of score, it may be true that they will not be so burdened because 1 goal is a small distance, but it is still a job that they must complete quickly. However, psychologically they will have pressure which if they cannot control it, the pressure will make them even worse. In the second leg they must be able to create a quick goal to make the score equal again, but of course it is not an easy task because Paris Saint-Germain will also do their best to prevent their opponents from scoring. Defense will also be their focus to block the attacks that Arsenal will make.

I thought Arsenal would seal the night with victory, but they ran out of luck. The early goal from Denver dragged the fate of the night. Arsenal might still have a chance, but we cannot deny the fact that PSG has the upper hand now.

A trip to Paris can be a better plan to achieve that . The dude was very good yesterday. The only goal he managed to concede was ruled offside and at the end of the day, he both bagged a clean sheet, and a victory at Emirates stadium.

PSG have played two more games in the UCL and scored the same number of goals as Arsenal. On the other hand, they have conceded 14 goals while Arsenal have only conceded 7 yet, PSG that should be feared, every team that has taken any point against Arsenal in the past 2 seasons must have at least 2 players assigned to mark  B. Aerial duel would been a key for Arsenal winning this game.. I was hoping to see Arsenal pump a lot of high long ball on target/ a lot of crosses be it from open plays. Probably alot of corners and free kicks, but only one of those expectations came to reality - 30 fouls in one match!!!  They had alot of chances to score goals, but too many was wasted. I thought they could score at least 2 goals just like in their previous game.

I think the Catalans can take advantage of that, especially with their fluid attack. Even without Lewandowski, their offense might actually be sharper. Barca have been leaving too much space behind their backline lately, and their high press doesn't always work. They also give away too many fouls in dangerous areas. PSG really destroyed the mentality of the Arsenal players who played as the host, they really appeared impressive and aggressive. But the match is still long, I hope Arsenal can overcome the pressure given by the PSG players, they must be able to equalize, because if they lose in the first match, then the next match will be more difficult for Arsenal.

Well I do love it like that, it did made the game even more interesting, with so much brilliant play from bothsides, so PSG dominated almost the whole of the half minute from first half, Arsenal also dominated the second part.. Arsenal is all after getting back into the game and that making the game some kinda furious. It could have been 1-1 though,that shot was a perfect one from Martineli( that was the only option and he played it well), it’s just Donnarumma that was so sturbborn .
Also, I think we can all agree Napoli made a big mistake selling Kvaratskhelia and Osimehn, the dude is part of the reason to their success this season.

There were no additional goals until the game ended, the score remained 1-0 with a victory for PSG. I hope that Arsenal can avenge the Premier League clubs that were eliminated by PSG, in fact PSG is really a nightmare for Premier League clubs playing in the Champions League. Now PSG has stepped one foot into the Champions League final, and in the second match they will appear as hosts, so now Arsenal's chances of going further in the Champions League are getting smaller. But I still hope that Arsenal can turn things around in the second match, with the right strategy implemented by Arteta.

There is absolutely no f way you can be objective and not biased and say it can't be done.

Ligue 1 is far worse than the Premier League yes. If we were to have a league with top six from Premier League mixed with top six from Ligue 1, this wouldn't end well for Ligue 1 teams except for PSG.

The game will be an incredible one. I think Inter Milan have been reserving their strength for the game. But nevertheless, the game will either be a tie or the Catalans (Barcelona) Will win.

Where did I conclude that PSG can't beat Arsenal when actually I say PSG can win the title in the Champions League? This sounds a bit far fetched from you...

I commented on the theories you commented on and yes, Ligue 1 is far worse than the Premier League. Miles and miles and miles and they will never in the next two decades win 5 Champions League qualifiers because of the UEFA ranking because the league sucks. There is nothing special about that comment, it is a matter of fact, not opinion.

But all of that is part of a top game of course and PSG can certainly win the title. They have shown that a couple of times now and I think the number of voices here saying that PSG can't do it have become less and less recently. Some still don't want to believe it I agree with you that PSG is no worse than any of the teams still in the competition. But it is totally open in my opinion as Inter Milan is hard to crack, Barcelona too. And Arsenal is not dead just yet.

The odds offered by the bookies are quite striking now where Barcelona is more favored, Barcelona @1.66 and Inter Milan @4.90 --- I can't imagine how if Inter Milan can win that's pretty good odds but high risk.

Inter Milan in other matches have suffered many defeats including Serie A and Coppa Italia which AC Milan beat badly and now they meet in the semifinals so I believe in this match Barcelona can win because they have high confidence.

Mikel Arteta seemed too complacent with the victory he achieved when facing Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, both the first and second matches. He was too complacent with the victory that he forgot that the team that eliminated the other two English clubs playing in the Champions League was PSG.

Now PSG has stepped one foot into the Champions League final, so Arsenal's chances of going further in the UCL are getting smaller, especially since the second match will take place at PSG's home ground. This match has nothing to do with the Real Madrid matches. Arsenal didn't play badly, they just could have been better. The early goal threw them off balance a bit. They recovered quickly, but we have seen this season how well PSG defend. Arteta maybe could have made the changes earlier and taken more risks, but he didn't go that way. He could have brought on Sterling and Zinchenko. He knew that if they conceded the 2nd goal things would be more difficult. He will take the necessary risks in Paris.

Seriously, no objectivity in those claims. Just imagine the claim, "if you bring the top 6 from League 1 and top 6 from Premier league" lol. Who's talking about that. The bone of contention here is PSG and so far they have been better than the EPL teams they've met so far. Yes Arsenal won them in the group stage, no doubt about that but he also forgot that this same PSG side beat Manchester City in the group stage, they even came from a 2 - 0 down to win that very game 3 - 2. If you notice PSG became fierce after that win Vs Manchester City, so far they have beaten Manchester City, eliminated Liverpool, eliminated Aston Villa and have now won Arsenal in the first leg.

And Italy had a better coefficient at start than the Netherlands, and Germany has the worst of all four, so based on that Juventus should beat PSV, Manchester should beat Real, Atalanta should beat Brugge, Milan should beat Feyenoord...oh wait...

You didn't say that, but you're still making it sound like Arsenal was the favorite for qualifying.
No, all bookies showed the favorites for the final to be PSG and Barcelona, you made a complete point of showing why Arsenal is better and then saying but it could go the other way, so right now I could say that one hundred factors favor Barcelona to win but just by throwing another line where I considered the 0.1% of all stars aligning in my theory and said Inter might be winning I would also be right about that too.

This is exactly what I argues with others you can't go on and make a case on how PSG plays against weak teams, how they struggle, how they are out of form, and then say, yeah, but they might still win, and just so you could be right no matter the result as you're in both boats the same time.

I am an Arsenal fan but I don’t think the decision of the offside is wrong.

From the angle you might be watching the game, it will look like an onside but when the other angles are reviled it shows that Merino and other Arsenal players are off which is the main reason as in why the goal was disallowed.

The match went well, PSG planed really well against Arsenal and Bukayo Saka, and they succeeded and they get lucky early goal to help them out in the first leg which impressive.

However, it is not the end, I believe Arsenal will work things out because Thomas Partey will be available in the second leg and the midfield will be calm and I am very sure Odegard will improve because Arsenal fans blast him after this match.

Both coaches do not underestimate each other, so I disagree with that statement. Arteta knows very well the ability of PSG and his coach and he was really serious throughout the match, it's just that the players failed to maximize the goal opportunities from several chances created throughout the match. You can see how Arteta reacts when his players fail to score, it is a form of disappointment that never looks like underestimating his opponent.

Arsenal certainly tried and tried throughout the match, almost managed to equalize, but Merino's goal was ruled offside by VAR. Losing 0-1 at home is certainly not what Arsenal and their manager want, but because the aggregate is not big, there is great hope for Arsenal to make a comeback in the second leg. The problem may be only one, PSG will be playing at home and they will probably give their all there to win the match and qualify for the final. It is still interesting to wait for the drama of the PSG vs Arsenal match in the second leg, but now I am waiting for the Barcelona vs Inter match.
