Most of us would like to see him being permanent in the Super League undoubtedly. He is one of the legends in Turkish football.    However as for his management skills, I have big doubts for now as well.

It won't be easy for him to retain his job if these bad results remain to be seen. All the friendlies they played ended up with losses. The first match of the Super League also ended by getting only one point. This evening probably Beşiktaş will also beat them. Not every impressive player is able to do a good job in a manager career I'm afraid. For example I really like Okan Buruk. He has got nice achievements with Galatasaray so far.

It seemed that Antalyaspor's players had no strength in their legs. There were situations in which even a player with average defensive skills would have been able to defend better than Antalyaspor's defense. The case of Beşiktaş's second goal was due to Thalisson Kelven's mistake in not heading the ball and allowing the Beşikitas player to get the ball and then it was Veysel Sarı's fault that he fell and allowed the Beşikitas player to assist Immobile to score the second goal. I see that Antalyaspor has serious problems in defense.

I don't think Fenerbahçe's squad is inadequate. Think about how many players from Göztepe were in the first lower league. One player from Fenerbahçe is probably equal to 5-10 players from Göztepe. Beşiktas' convincing win against Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig over the weekend I think was the best way to send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the league of how prepared they are as a team to challenge for the league title and any other available competition in the country. That game was one of the games I did stake my bet on with the option of a home win but little did I know it'll be as convincing as what we saw yesterday. Ciro Immobile was at his best in that game and could've grabbed a hattrick. The Turkish Super Lig this season will be interesting because I expect serious competition between Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Beşiktas

We can see the success of transfers that Besiktas has done in this on the matches scorecard. Ciro Immobile and Rafa Silva both scored in this match. Antalyaspor did go ahead in the first minute of the game, leaving me in shock. But Besiktas made a very good comeback after that shock. And with that win, they have kicked off the season on the right note.

But honestly, Antalyaspor didn’t do that bad either. I mean they were keeping the scores equal almost all the time. They were ahead for the first couple of minutes as well. But overall, Besiktas has created more chances, executed more shots, and more shots on target than Antalyaspor. This is a good achievement by Besiktas and they need to continue it. Their upcoming match is against Lugano in the Europa League play-off, and if they can keep this good performance up, I believe they will get their seat in the Europa League main tournament.

Başakşehir won the match 4-2 by scoring 3 goals in the second half of the match after being down in the first half. Both teams found plenty of positions in the match and it was pleasing to see a total of 6 goals.
The other match that ended with the same score was Beşiktaş-Antalyaspor. Besiktas defeated their opponents 4-2 at home to get their 2nd win and take the lead. Alex's team didn't play very well against Besiktas but at least they showed that they too are in a development phase.
