How it everyone feeling during this altcoin crash?

Another week in the crypto world and another red month for Bitcoin, this is now 6 red months in a row and only the 2nd time that has happened since 2018.

Never has there been 7 red months in a row but i think there will be this time as there just feels like no hope currently with the war going on etc.

I am just holding, expecting Bitcoin to go down to $60k in the coming weeks and when it does thats when ill buy more.

I keep seeing many say we will not bottom until October, i hope we do not have to wait that long but lets see.

Many are saying we wont bottom till October and im prepared to wait till then if we have to but hoping it will be a few months earlier maybe around July.

Honestly speaking I think you’re speculating about the price of bitcoin and you should also consider to focus more on buying and holding bitcoin, nobody will know when we are going to have a new ATH, what we should be mostly investing now is buying more bitcoin and stacking more bitcoin into our portfolio which is also a very sustainable way of making more bitcoin investment is by buying through the DCA and it’s widely appreciated by so many individuals, so I’m not really interested in what bitcoin is right now but I’m more interested in stacking bitcoin because I’m more interested in long term investment and not short term investment.

Bitcoin at $78k does not interest me.

Many are saying we are still in a 4 year cycle and this current bear market will last till October and if that's the case then Bitcoin will go below $60k again and that is when I will buy.

If it doesn't go below $60k then I will just stick to my top altcoins, the likes of Solana, Hbar etc will see better returns next few years compared to Bitcoin so id rather be in them.

I am well used to it by now, this thread is almost 2 years old.

We are almost 7 months into this bear market, hopefully we only have a few months left before we bottom and move up again.  I am expecting at least one more crash back down to around $60k again next few months so just preparing for then to buy more cheap.

You’re spot on, whenever you see bitcoin dropping you should be rest assured that other cryptocurrencies and altcoins are also going to drop drastically, anyways like you have said it doesn’t feel good in any way that this altcoins keeps dropping while bitcoin is also dropping.

However you should be very pragmatic about altcoin accumulation, so you don’t end up loosing a huge amount of money, because I don’t trust altcoins at all, when a cryptocurrency depends on a particular coin to thrive then you must know that something is absolutely wrong somewhere.

Not all altcoins are bad/ risky.

Just stick to top altcoins and you will be fine, the likes of Solana, Hbar, and others in the current top 20 they will see bigger returns compared to Bitcoin next few years.

Every market crash is an opportunity, but then we need to be very careful which coin we jump on the low price ers because some of those coins lack the mechanism to pick up again once their fall, if you want to take advantage of any market downtime, you should focus more on the projects that have long term potential and that Current market downturn is considerably a temporary set back in price and will follow up when the entire crypto market starts to recover again.

If this is a normal bear market, at least we only have 4-5 months left of it.

Time is going quick and i am just holding for now as expecting one more drop back down to around $60k again and that is when i plan to buy.

Bitcoin has had a good 6 weeks hitting $82k yesterday, but most alts haven't moved yet.

When the result coin crash, the market Force massively and this is where we should not invest much of our asset on altcoins, instead we can choose bitcoin as our main portfolio and later back it up with some few altcoins that are reliable, there are seasons to each market performance and that is where we have both the bear season and Bull season for them all, we are to know the right time to buy as well as the best time for us to sell in profit.

I disagree. An altcoin I have held previously did nothing for 3 years then pumped 50x in less than 6 months.

I made the mistake of not cashing out everything as I was new and thought the pump would go even higher but I won’t make that mistake next time.

Many alts that are currently down at the lows, will pump 10x, 20x even 50x next few years. Bitcoin will only pump 3-4x.

Bitcoin is now for those who have big money to invest, if you don’t have big money u have to take the risk in altcoins.

This is true. An altcoin has a chance to be pumped so big anytime, though it becomes a zombie coin for long time. However, this doesn't relate to the reality. It's when there was a coin gets pumped so hard, but the rest is just doing nothing.

This is why your assumption to see an altcoin to get a gigantic pump maybe happening to one or two coins. Meanwhile the rest are relatively stagnant or even going deeper. So this is like gambling.

How is this bitcoin pumping to you? It hopefully has hit a bottom, and i don't see it pumping any time soon, but this is not pumping.

Altcoin season has always included small fraction of existing altcoins, because amount of altcoins existing is just too big to be fueled by it. I am not sure how you get an idea that there wouldn't be altcoin season again, because why wouldn't there be altcoin season similar to past ones? What's that based on? If you are saying that they aren't rising that much next season, you can predict that this would apply to bitcoin as well.

Sure, most coins have a life cycle, but if you put $100 for each top 20 altcoin in the bear, you are likely to make profit in next cycle even if some of them would go to zero.

I don't want to call it a crash because I have seen a crash before which happened around 2022. So corrections are always present so consider the current market as normal. You will see a negative side to the economic situation of almost every country so we should expect a lot of investors at this point. The crypto market is volatile so we should not panic when we see this general decline. Because such a decline can be easily compensated and you can be sure if you have good coins in your portfolio. And those who are thinking of buying should buy only trusted coins because it is difficult to say which way the calm market will turn.
