How it everyone feeling during this altcoin crash?

Don’t worry about altcoins they will have their time again.

When Bitcoin starts pumping for real again, many altcoins will out perform it.

We just have to wait patiently for things to get better , it could take a month from now or another 3-4 months. Just have to wait.

Very boring times lately, I am just holding as think we will go lower in the coming weeks so plan to buy once it all falls a bit more.

Yeah us altcoin holders just have to remain patient, even if it mains having to wait till end of this year.  I have seen altcoins pump before and they will do so again.

If you look at Near Protocol for example, I don't hold it but in the last 2 weeks it has pumped over 125% and made up for 7 months of down price action in just 2 weeks.

Bitcoin is more safe yes, but it doesn't pump anywhere near 125% in just a 2 week period and that is why I am in altcoins.  Altcoins spend most of the time down but then only takes a month or two to pump to make it all worth it.

I don't think altcoin season will ever happen. The attention is only on Bitcoin, because of the huge adoption from both institutional investors and governments. Alts aren't even on the top of "Wall Street's" list. ETH has its own spot ETFs, but capital inflows have been minimal compared against BTC. In other altcoins, the situation is worse.

I guess investors prefer something "tried and tested", than something "experimental". Ethereum could've seen better days if it focused itself on innovation. But it turns out, other chains are performing better in this regard. There's low demand for ETH, leading to a stagnation in market prices. Before other alts move, both BTC and ETH need to be on the "upside". To be honest with you, I'm not optimistic. But crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways, so anything's possible.

Forget about Bitcoin & ETH. They are dinosaurs in this game and have limited returns now.

XLM is up 100% for example this week and NEAR up over 120% in last few weeks while Bitcoin & ETH have done nothing.

We are in a bear market but soon as that flips later this year, many alts will 5-10x from these current lows they are currently at.

So, how do the alt holders and regulars in this thread assess the behavior of altcoins after autumn 2025? Are they still declining against Bitcoin? Is it time to return to the idea of shorting them?

Only a handful of alts have seen a decent altseason last few years. XRP 6x, Hbar 8x, Solana did a 20x. Most alts only saw a 2 or 3x or not even that and us holding altcoins have had to wait for a real altseason to happen like it did in 2021 but we are not sure if it ever will again.

I am just hoping to at least 5x my altcoin portfolio next few years. Hopefully last quarter of this year when Bitcoin is expected to bottom, they will start moving again and have a good 2027.

I am just hoping to at least 5x my altcoin portfolio next few years. Hopefully last quarter of this year when Bitcoin is expected to bottom, they will start moving again and have a good 2027.

Of course, many alts aren’t showing much progress and are still in the red. However, regardless of the overall market trend, some alts do see decent gains from time to time. For example, ZEC has performed well both last year and this year. It's also worth noting that there have recently been quite a few alts on the market being manipulated by MMs through pump-and-dump schemes(COAI, RAVE, RIVER, LAB, etc.).

Nice mini crash last few days with Bitcoin falling from $73k to $65.5k in 48 hours and alts down 10-20%.

My portfolio hit a low of -43% yesterday.   No panic from me, will just buy more if we go lower next few days.

I expect a boring summer and maybe even new low for Bitcoin below $60k but once summer is over we should bounce and work our way up again.

You really don't get out of this panic zone, instead you stay with a minus of almost 50%, how to get out like this is not possible because you have experienced a large deficit, the only one continues to survive until the accumulation stage is still continued?

Anyway you have to have thick money reserves because the bearish phase will continue for a long time, especially the summer you said the market might not be too positive, I think you are mentally strong to continue holding more altcoins.

It depends on exactly what you're selling at such a loss. If an alt has been proven over time and you’re confident it will continue to grow and perform well during the next bull run, then of course it makes sense to just hold onto it. However, if we’re talking about a hyped alt in the short term, whose price is being manipulated by major players, then it makes sense to sell it even at a 40-50% loss, since if the dump continues, the price of that altcoin could become worthless altogether.

If an alt has been proven over time and you’re confident it will continue to grow and perform well during the next bull run, then of course it makes sense to just hold onto it. 80% of my altcoins are in the current top 100, most in the top 40. So i will hold onto these and buy the lows over the next few months if crypto continues to fall over the summer before recovering in Q4 as many expect.

The other 20% of my altcoins are risky, but i only need one to survive till next bull run to make it all worth it.

I don't think it's right to blame those who sold at a lose. They were doing cutloss strategy. They do it with the expectation if crypto can go even lower than this time. So they can re-buy back their token when it's gett another bottom.

It's okay you said to hold until it's to recover, but none know how long it will happen. So cutloss is not that bad to realized their lose before it goes even lower.

It's called a strategy, it's not just a panic sell.
