If it doesn’t generate an 8-digit code, the authenticator isn’t working correctly. The issue is that most 6-digit authenticators don’t flag this as a problem and accept it, even though they actually failed to interpret the QR code. Instead, they act as if everything is fine.
Finally, I was able to open my Wallet after using Google Authenticator and the code given did not match because the Computer needed a restart,
Maybe my Windows system is problematic and has not been updated, But so far 2FA using Google Authenticator has been normal.

And yes, like the Authy application from Twilio only acts as if their QR Code is fine, even though it can input tokens from Ginger's 2FA,
But the generated code cannot open the wallet, this is a mistake that needs to be informed to the 2FA application provider.

I am having trouble connecting my wallet, tried closing and opening it, but the problem persists. I can confirm that my internet connectivity is fine.

Anyone else having the same error?

We haven't encountered this type of issue before. Is the problem still occurring?

Using Ginger Wallet is very simple. CoinJoin is just one button press, and you don’t have to do anything else—just make sure not to turn off your computer. If you need any help, feel free to reach out or join our Telegram group.

It's much easier than with other coinjoin wallets where new accounts get created to facilitate different purposes (pre-mix, post-mix etc.)

You just receive the coins and after reaching a threshold the coinjoin begins. Everytime a transaction happens, you get to see it in the "inbox" page.

Really, it's just a matter of one click.

It might be as simple one click but the click does cost the user money in fees. Ginger Wallet forces the user to pay 0.3% coinjoin fees to the default Ginger Wallet coordinator whereas Wasabi Wallet allows the user to select their own preferred coordinator including at least two that do not charge any fees at all.

There are no benefits that Ginger Wallet provides over Wasabi Wallet that equates to 0.3% transaction fees.

Really, it's just a matter of one click.

Ginger imports Wasabi wallets only for the first time; after that, it does nothing. There is a separate working folder.

Ginger Wallet is designed to be a user-friendly Bitcoin wallet that anyone can use, regardless of their technical knowledge. With Ginger, there’s no need to configure anything if you don’t want to—just start the CoinJoin process with a single click. The goal is to provide a seamless and straightforward experience without requiring users to manually tweak advanced settings.

In recent months, Ginger Wallet has introduced several new features and improvements, making it increasingly different from Wasabi Wallet. Ginger prioritizes simplicity and ease of use, ensuring that privacy-enhancing CoinJoins are accessible to everyone, not just advanced users.

We haven't encountered this type of issue before. Is the problem still occurring?

I can't able to identify the actual problem but I managed to fix it by disabling TOR and then by restarting the application get the wallet back online, and then I enabled the TOR function which works fine. But the issue is kind of weird though.

Is running in the background causing the problem?

But, from what I understand, the fee is only covered if the amount to be coinjoined is greater than 0.01BTC. Right?

Is this 0.01BTC per CoinJoin request, or is it the accumulation of all CoinJoin already requested per wallet?

Thank you for your response! We'll check what might be causing the issue on Windows. Are you using the latest version?

Yes, you wrote it correctly: the fee waiver applies per CoinJoin request if the amount is less than 0.01 BTC.

And if I am correct, the default behaviour is that, for balance less than 0.01 BTC, there are no automatic coin-joins happening, right?
I am asking because I have a much lower amount, but I saw the timer going down. It may never trigger a coin-join even if the timer goes to 0, but I just wanted to ask.

Yes it is but there is a fee to pay when it is more than 0.01 BTC. That is what happens when it comes to Ginger Wallet as you are not allowed to change their default coordinator and they charge a 0.3% fee. As for Wasabi Wallet, you can change to any coordinator anytime you want including at least two that currently do not charge a fee to mix regardless of the size of the coinjoin.

Congratulations to Ginger Wallet for making made space for itself in the coinjoin market after being forked from Wasabi Wallet but if the end result is the same (a coinjoin to gain privacy), why would anybody want to pay a 0.3% fee to Ginger Wallet if they can achieve the same result with Wasabi Wallet?

But, from what I understand, the fee is only covered if the amount to be coinjoined is greater than 0.01BTC. Right?

That's an interesting point. If someone opens a position of just 0.001BTC to do CoinJoin, could it take a long time or never be executed?

I think the problem with not paying for it is the advantage it can bring. At the moment, there is no advantage?

So, as a user who has never used any of these wallets, which one is easier to use, "Wasabi Wallet" or "Ginger Wallet"?

Is it because of the simplicity of the process?
Both wallets are easy to use.

I think the problem with not paying for it is the advantage it can bring. At the moment, there is no advantage?
The advantage Wasabi Wallet has is that you pay zero fees no matter Bitcoin quantity by selecting a coordinator you want. Ginger Wallet does not allow you to select a coordinator of your choice and forces you to use their default/chosen coordinator which means you pay them 0.3% on coinjoins when 0.01 BTC and more are involved. After transaction fees are added on, it can add up to be quite a lot of money in fees.

So, as a user who has never used any of these wallets, which one is easier to use, "Wasabi Wallet" or "Ginger Wallet"?
Both are equally easy to use because Ginger Wallet is a fork from the Wasabi Wallet source code. The key difference has been mentioned above, one charges fees and the other does not.

Generally, the downside of using coinjoins is many exchanges are now suspending accounts that receive funds from coinjoin addresses. Suspensions are only lifted after proof of source and that creates problems for those seeking either privacy or anonymity. That should be taken in consideration before using coinjoin tools.
