Wow US has 1.01 odds that's crazy.  Is Puerto Rico that bad this year.  In years past they have had competitive teams.  I know jose Alvarado went out with an ankle injury and was a huge hit to their team.  With that being said the game of the day is going to be France vs Germany.  Canada vs Spain should be decent too.  Love this extra basketball we get with the Olympics:)

It's 1.02 on BcGame. But I won't be taking the bet because the rewards is too low for the intended risks. While the USA will win easily, it remains to be seen that you need to wager an absurd amount on money in order to get any tangible return from the bet. I'm betting off just watching the game. I watched the USA last game against South Sudan amd I'm confident that they will completely destroy this  Puerto Rico team.  Puerto Rico team haven't really performed well this far. We can see evidence of this in their 66-score against Serbia.

That's not worth it for the game winner if someone is going to bet for that match. But as for the other category like total points, it's a good guessing game.

And yes, Puerto Rico is bad this year. They're even at the bottom of the group C. South Sudan is ahead of them with one win but PR has never won a game yet.

They are lackluster this Olympics and this is why the odds are like that for them.

Either Greece or South Sudan will be eliminated. Japan, Puerto Rico (Assuming USA wins against Puerto Rico) and Spain are already eliminated. I don't think we'll see South Sudan in the next round unless they can beat Serbia or lost atleast 2 points. South Sudan really need to win this game against Serbia. Putting some bet to South Sudan right now against Serbia is worth the risk. What do you think about Serbia vs South Sudan?

They are not playing well while Team USA has been dominating their opponents, so I think that's justifiable.

We can use these two outcomes to determine how bad this team is:

USA beat Serbia by 26 points, while Serbia beat Puerto Rico by 41. So you do the math; obviously, this team (Puerto Rico) has no chance of winning unless magic happens.

With that being said the game of the day is going to be France vs Germany.  Canada vs Spain should be decent too.  Love this extra basketball we get with the Olympics:)

France isn't really a good contender after all, they were exposed by Japan and now they lose to Germany by 14 points, Final score is 85-71.

This is the upcoming games, from August 2 - August 4 for Olympics Men Basketball.

As you can see, the odds are really off for most of the matches, only Japan vs Brazil and France vs Germany are kinda exciting and interesting to watch.
I'm really looking forward to these kind of game because the even the odds for Japan and France is like that, they still have the chance, especially if you are betting on some handicaps, you can find some worth to bet.

Just pulled off a huge shock, scoring Australia 77-71! Talk of an Aussies gut check. Though Giannis was a complete beast, let us credit the entire Greek team. Compared to their last game against Spain, other players stepped in offense and helped Giannis hence, they got the win. I already said that other players need to help Giannis on offense because he single-handedly carried the team at that time. This time against the Boomers, others stepped up, and let's not forget how they good are defensively, letting Australia to score only 71 points. I agree that we need to give credits to the whole team. Now they just need to wait for the results since 3 of them in Group A are tied at 1-2.

It's not that the Puerto Ricans are bad overall. It's just that the US team is just that good for them that their chances of winning is almost impossible... or should I say it's impossible for them to win.

Canada Vs. Spain was a close one, but in the end, the Canadians won. As for France Vs. Germany, I expected Germany to win, but not by double-digit. I don't know, but I guess let's give credits to the coaching team and the head coach of Germany for coaching the team perfectly. I mean they don't have superstar players, but they have players that can step up on offense like the Wagner Brothers, Shroeder and even Theis.

Nice eye. They are giving away a handicap of +12.5 for South Sudan with a decent win. I think I will take that safer route than go for the money line.

USA versus Puerto Rico. Well, there's no doubt that the USA will win this match but the handicap is too high at -33.5 for just x1.67 of win. Nah, I think I will pass. The problem is if they play it cool at the end of the regulation and Puerto Rico suddenly cuts the lead to a lower number. It's going to be a frustrating result for all who will take that spread.

Giannis is not enough to move them to the next round. As you have said, other teams are pretty much stack up with NBA player in this competition. And with the Boomers losing to the Canada, I think the Canadian team will be the second favorite and for Greece, it's close to nil. They have to beat the Boomers by at least 3 points. The Boomers are one of the dark horse here so I don't see the Greek team beating them with a solid line up of NBA players like Josh Giddey. So still very complicated at this point because of the point system in the Olympics.

This is true for Greece and Giannis but despite that, I've prepared my bet as I am a believer of Giannis. I don't care whether this bet of mine for them win or lose. And as for Japan and Brazil, Japan gave France tough time and this is why I am going for them.

If you've watched how Japan played against France, as a bettor you will surely bet on them against Brazil. I mean when the France fought against Brazil, it wasn't a close one, but against Japan, it went to overtime. Nevertheless, I also think that Japan will win on this one against Brazil, but it isn't enough for them to clinch... I guess.

Now with regards to Greece and Australia, it's a huge risk from the bettor's perspective to put a bet against Greece. I mean the Boomers are stronger than Spain just by looking on their roster. One problem also with Greece is that they don't have Thanasis who can help his brother. Kidding aside, Giannis scored 27 points in their last match, but the other 4 starters are combined for only 27 points also. If they want to win, they need to help Giannis on offense. This is I think is the way for them to win. Help Giannis in offense.

I know how strong Brazil and I have no regret on losing that bet. Whenever I am impressed or if the odds are good to me, I'd bet with them. Unfortunately, my bet with Japan against Brazil lost. But my bet with Greece against Australia has won. I know that these teams are great but I'm all the way for Giannis this time. And fortunately, I've won the bet so it's just 1-1 for me. And sadly, Japan is already out having that 0-3 but they still did well. They were so close with that France game but still, well done to them.

They are the 2nd favorite now, it cannot be denied. However, I think no team can beat the current Team USA. Honestly, I would be more excited to see Germany and Canada play; at least in that matchup, we can see if Germany really has the championship mentality they displayed during their stint in the FIBA World Cup.

After all the games will be played, we will go to the quarter finals this coming August 6 as per schedule.

It's true, Canada is laden with NBA talents and if you look at the roster, they even don't have Andrew Wiggins in the line up. As far as I can remember, he played in 2020 Olympics representing Canada.

So they are really that depth in terms of talent and that's why they are the second favorite behind USA if I'm not mistaken.

Germany is riding high on them winning the FIBA, but it's a totally different teams that they are facing in the Olympics here. So for me, it is still Canada who is the second favorite because of their lineup, the same with US with a lot of NBA players. One advantage though of Germany is that they could have been playing for a long time so there is this chemistry on them. But I don't know if that is enough against a talent laden teams like USA and Canada. Perhaps they can push those teams very hard and make it a very close game, but I guess individually, someone can take over and beat Germany for either teams.

Yes, there are a lot of interesting games, and obviously teams wanted to really win and dominated their opponents because of this quotient system. And with that, South Sudan is a huge underdog against the Jokic lead Serbia, more than 8:1 underdog.

So I do agree with you, South Sudan has shown that they have what it takes to be with this big boys now. And maybe if they can really play good from the start and not let Serbia pull, maybe a bet on them will be good at least +11.5, in my opinion.

I was surprised with the result Japan got. I thought they would be able to defeat Brazil after that performance against France. It looks like they wasted their whole energy there.    They played the first and last quarter terrible... But this game must have made people who bet on over a certain amount of points happy. 186 points in total is pretty impressive!

Greece finally won a match. This was their best team performance so far. That huge second quarter effort had a huge role.

However this isn't enough for top 2. They will hope to qualify as one of the best 2 third-placed teams after today's matches.

Considering USA beat both of those teams very very easily, everyone just keeps thinking that USA will destroy Puerto Rico who lost to two teams USA beat.

But to be perfectly fair, USA can beat anyone here, if they do not beat then it would be a shock, you can make them play twice against all the teams in Olympics, every single team, and you will see that USA will not lose a single time, they are that good. This played btw. Total scores including overtime around 187 so that means it was a win. I was expecting USA to win with a lot more score margin but they only won with a not-so-huge margin. At least, the 1.02 odds for USA are now over.

The reason USA won't lose is because no other thing have enough fun as them whenever they're in action. The same way it's effortless for Curry to hit 3s is the same way LeBron have fun with his 2s. They're still a baby country that has gained independence and yet, they're able to compete and give headache the strong teams globally.

I also agree that they've shown that they're a good team and everyone should be watching for them. Although Serbia won against them, all of these experiences that they're having will be piled up and in the future, they'll use it to end better.

Going to be a great finale to the Olympics.  US got a good draw being the #1 seed.  I think in terms of fight I'd hate for the US to have to run into Canada and Germany.  I haven't looked at the current odds but if they are long shots I think it would be worth a stab here.  Lots of nba stars going at it from every country it's great to see bonus basketball!
