Yes 9 players selecting Chelsea in away condition its a lot, they nail a second goals which is gonna make them ""safe"" but for sure it was not a winner selection.

Just 2 goals is not enough though. Dang I got both Atletico and Leverkusen as replacement, those two got 7 goals in total while I got 2 for trusting Chelsea. I was expecting Chelski to get atleast 3 goals though.

12 goals so far, I still got Betis as my dark horse but this probably wont be enough to win unless they score 4 goals at least

Bayern now has 41 goals scored in 11 games - I'd honestly pick them away at Arsenal if needed. Can't imagine a round in which they won't be selected.

Its a no brainer for sure and at this rate with everyone picking Bayern, we are down to 4 teams instead of 5 as Bayern will always be on the list

Not bad for me in first day, I have 13 points and two more matches left to be played tomorrow.
Arsenal and Real Madrid should win tomorrow, but I want from them to score a lot of goals.

Initially had Borussia instead of Chelsea but really happy how the round's going so far.
Picked all the high scorers, just waiting for Real to ruin it all tomorrow evening.

Bayern this season must be a no-brainer, no matter who they play. Just like having Haaland as captain in EPL Fantasy. I’m a little bit disappointed in Chelsea only two goals against Championship-level Burnley. I was in a dilemma between Chelsea and Barca, and of course I picked the wrong one. And with the red card, Barca should have scored maybe 2–3 more goals.

Maybe we could make our pool captain ban Bayern to make it more interesting. Not this season since it could damage fair play but maybe add a provision for next season, something on line of, if club is picked by all participants for 3 consecutive weeks, we drop it till season end That would make it more competitive and easier to have swings towards season end.

The fact that the yellow cap is awarded by tiebreaker and that everyone scores roughly the same number of points makes the competition boring. Maybe we should add Ligue 1 and ban the current champion's pick in all leagues? This way, neither Bayern nor PSG will distract anyone from proper analysis.

The fact that the yellow cap is awarded by tiebreaker and that everyone scores roughly the same number of points makes the competition boring. Maybe we should add Ligue 1 and ban the current champion's pick in all leagues? This way, neither Bayern nor PSG will distract anyone from proper analysis.

For me, that's where the most fun is. Getting that 1 or 2 goals advantage or loss per round is really huge, whereas in other competitions it fluctuates by a lot and losing a round by 5 or 7 points doesn't really matter in the long run. Here literally every goal counts.

I do agree that we need to find a way to battle the 'default' picks though, because that isn't how it was imagined to be.

My total goal tally for this week end, which would easily put me in the running for first place in any of the CLGM past rounds, won't even get me close to the top Guys/teams in this round. BTW the five Bavarians did their job this weekend, anyway, Real Madrid settled for a draw; at least they managed to score two goals.

The value of each goal is important in a single round, and yes, there is value in such a competition, but if you look at it over time, it's like "picking the five teams with the most goals in a season." And then the field of choice narrows considerably. We all know that Bayern and Barcelona will score more than any Freiburg, Bayer, or Premier League team, meaning there are two default picks for the entire season.
In general, there is still time until the next season, we need to see what other participants think.
I was surprised to discover that in this round, besides Villarreal, I even chose Betis!

This week we had a lot of teams that were very fruitful. My mistake was that I didn’t trust Arsenal, as always, and they went on to demolish Tottenham — poor Vicario had no chance in goal.

One more thing I wanted to mention, did any of you watch Elche vs. Real. How is that not a foul on the Elche goalkeeper, Iñaki Peña? Vinicius trampled him, the guy was bleeding from his nose, the VAR room checked the situation, and still the goal stood. Who?

Yeah, I remember your post about Bayern. And it's boring when every week everyones takes Bayern without much thinking. Same often applies to Real and Barca. I don't know about banning specific teams.
Maybe instead of having 5 best teams from each league to choose, it should be 5 random teams from each league. That would make us to think a bit more.

I wouldn't call Betis pick bald as they were playing at home with bottom table Girona. Their result was big upset. And it doesn't happens that often when some teams that didn't even won their games wasn't that bad pick. Yes, I'm talking about Real and Dortmund.

Teams like Betis don't consistently get many goal wins, so I doubt that I've even picked this except for the favorites.

Madrid are rotten, held to a meager 2 goal draw.

Probably we can exclude them for a round or two and see how it goes? I mean if everyone would pick Bayern then I guess its kinda pointless to keep including them so excluding them could be some kind of twist

Dang I only got 15 huh and 15 is the 2nd lowest point of the round. I was doing decent getting 12 points before both Betis and Madrid played but eventually taking Betis seems to be the a pretty bad choice after all

Makes it a little bit harder for the organizer (and us) to track it but gives a whole new layer of tactics to this competition.

Would make battles for the freebets a lot more interesting as well.

This are good points, later when i post the new round im gonna add a question about this to see what people support or dont in a more proper way.

One side note about freebets, just in case and to everyone who already suffer it or for people who still didnt win a round, freebets are being credited supero slow, i cant made anything about it, but always keep reporting to me if the freebet is not credited.
