Man they were unfortunate to have a goalie like Onana after all his word, in the end a terrible performance from him. I wonder when will he be able to redeem himself. United tried getting an away win against Lyon but unfortunately ended as a tie,now they have to hope and try they're the victor at old Trafford in the second leg.

I wasn’t really satisfied with Manchester United in todays match, I was really expecting a better performance from Manchester United in the match, I was even thing they will be able to win the match, but they were just lucky to get a draw in the match. Lyon created more chances in the match, just that they missed most of the chances created, and are able to convert just two into goal.

The issues of Manchester United playing below expectations is often expected but while the attack has been poor at least they could have still be able to get a win if not from poor goalie performance from Onana.

It’s just better Manchester United sign a new goalkeeper, because Onana is always performing poorly when Manchester United really needs him, I was surprised that Onana couldn’t stop the two goals scored by Lyon, the second leg won’t really be easy for Manchester United, because Lyon will definitely improve their performance, they will want to get a win in the second leg, and from the way they played today, then they can achieve that.

To be honest this man needs to learn from Harry Maguire, definitely more criticism is on the way but if he can shut up, try to do better soon there would be less eyes on him and people would appreciate his performance more and with time the whole pressure that might be on him for trying not to make silly mistakes would be alleviated.

This will actually be the night not to forget for Onana, for giving away free two goals to Lyon after the expectation was for Manchester United to win Lyon in the first leg, the second leg at Old Trafford, Manchester United will beat them again.

I think it's unfair to pin the blame solely on Onana. The first goal, two Lyon players tried to make a tap in which confused him. The second goal, keepers make this kind of saves all the time but he was unfortunate Cherki was close by and he pounced on it. IMO, United defense was porous. Lyon was just creating spaces and opening them up. They're lucky Lyon finishing was really poor because they'd have won the game.

I am a little pessimistic about Lazio chances of turning things around in the second leg, it is not easy to catch up on a 2 goal deficit even though they are playing in front of their own supporters. But I agree with your prediction regarding the chances of Manchester United, Athletic Bilbao and Eintracht Frankfurt for the second leg, all three teams have high hopes of qualifying for the semifinals.

Yes, it won't be easy to equalize the aggregate because Bodo/Glimt is leading with 2 goals. However, I think Lazio still has a chance if they change their game play and their tactics in the next Leg. They need to play with a more offensive strategy, they must score as quick as possible. They should score 1 goal very soon in the first half of the next Leg if they want to have a good chance to equalize the aggregate.

Other teams like Frankfurt, Man United, and Bilbao have the same chance to qualify for the next round. All of them will play at their home in the next Leg, I think the chance will be higher to win the match.

Lazio looks like a team that is running out of energy, in Serie A they are also starting to lose points often. I would not be surprised if Lazio were eliminated, because basically the Europa League is full of surprises. Like the story of last season when Liverpool, who were favourites, were surprisingly knocked out by Atalanta.

This happens in many teams, they lose their consistency when it is in the second half of the season. Sure, we hope Lazio still can continue to the next round in UEL. Let's see if they can do the same way as Atalanta that can surprise many people.

Wow, the biggest underdog of this stage easily defeated the leader of the group stage. I did not see that coming. It's not just that Bodo/Glimt won, but the fact how easily they dominated Lazio, was a real surprise. Glimt had three times more shots on goal in total and six times more shots on target. Lazio looked like a shadow of itself today.

Three draws in the other games are somewhat understandable, as all those teams are on a similar level. I guess we might see a lot of drama next week.

One thing I have always said is do not underestimate or underrate any club in the European competitions most especially in the knockout stages, Bodo/Glimt have taken an home advantage but this tie is not close to been finished yet, Lazio at home can play better and come back into this game, we have seen the likes of Fernabache getting back from heavy losses in the return leg only to lose at penalty, but this is a motivating.

As for other clubs the game is definitely going to twisty in the second Leg because each of this teams have shown that they can win the match regardless of who is at home. Manchester United on the other hand have a bigger issue with them which is Onana who is constantly making mistakes cannot be trusted for the last game.

Anyway, Tottenham's result surprised me a bit. I didn't watch the match, but I thought they'd win by a large margin or lose by a large margin. The stats show that they dominate the game too. As I predicted before, MU will maintain a draw if they cannot win against Lyon. By bringing 2 away goals, MU can play more confidently in the 2nd leg. Of course we cannot forget how MU's performance this season was so bad, with the status of the holder of the most EPL titles, being in 13th position, making them likely not to be able to go to UEL next season. So, this season they must be able to win if they want to go to UEL, of course this is a very difficult target for MU.
Lazio is beyond my expectations, although I have predicted the confidence of the Bodo/Glimt players, but winning 2-0 over Lazio is far from my prediction. In the 2nd leg, Lazio does benefit from them being the host, but a 3-0 victory will be very difficult.

In this match I favored Man United to win in my bet and I really didn't expect something like this to happen. Bodo/Glimt seems to be playing surprisingly well. It was Bodo's home ground yet defeating a team like Lazio is a great achievement. Had expected the Athletic club to win against Rangers but they played a draw. Lyon vs Man U and Tottenham vs Frankfurt were supposed to be tough games and both ended in draw. Despite that I wasn't happy with the outcome of that match, yea we all are blaming Onana have we also considered the performance of the entire team, Manchester United performance in that match is it really what it used to be?,  if not for the lapses of Lyon, Lyon scored the opening goal of the match by Almada and they were able to maintain that goal, I think it would've been a different thing now, I think the entire Manchester United team is in shamble, however, your advise is in the right direction, may be it is time for the manager to try other options available, the second keeper should be giving the opportunity atleast for a trial period but the manager should also try to build a formidable defense, it laughable to even compared Onana with David De Gea in the first place, for me , De Gea is everly better, though am not a Manchester United fan but the wasted opportunity is what I don't like, though the did has already been done though we hope that this illed performance of theirs doesn't persist.

Before the match, Onana and Matic had already been Psywar each other and on the field it was proven that Onana talked too much rather than proving himself. I think Onana is a person who is very hungry for validation but he is not aware and sees the situation of the club. It is strange if Manchester United still makes him the main goalkeeper. Lyon gave a surprise at the last second which was a big blow for United, because it could be said that the goal was a disaster for United to lose 3 points. Manchester United draw last night seem to have all the blame on Onana the goalkeeper, I don't care of what Matic said about the Cameroon goalkeeper but all these guys should understand is that Onana and every other players in the Manchester United squad are not doing well, thats the punch line to all these but it seems like each time the goalkeeper Onana makes mistakes that's when they come all out including the old players of the Red Devils to start blasting him (Onana). I'm not saying he did well with that crazy mistake at the last minute of the game but they should see what happened as Onana's time to mess up, then when it comes to the EPL the players have to play carelessly and allow the whole hard part of the game to be on Onana and he delivers (nobody is see that when it happens) this is something that we should face the whole squad and not Onana alone.
I wasn't expecting Onana to be the goalkeeper in game because the second choice need to step up and let Amorim try to see if goalkeeper can do better than Onana at least Amorim should try other goalkeepers second or third choice I don't care but when it comes to the EPL game Onana can start as the first choice. We have goalkeepers who are not good but starting from the defense line up to the attackers are doing perfectly fine, some body like Víctor Valdés former Barcelona goalkeeper, he wasn't that good but the defenders act as the walls of China for him. I know some will say is Barca and they are good yes they are and Manchester United are also good but the main thing is the players including the Onana are not good at UTD.
