I guess Manchester United and Bodø/Glimt were the shining teams of the night so Athletic's performance won't be talked about much, but I would like to point out that. They beat Rangers by two goals and became Manchester United's opponents in the semi finals. Nico Williams and Ohian Sancet are having a very good season. Another motivation for Athletic Bilbao is that the final will be played at their home. They want to be there for sure. I think they are a team not to be underestimated and my favorite for the title since start.

Tottenham was a better team and could have finished a game earlier but they in the end barely won. I dont know if they can win the europa league but this is a good step ,they beated a good opponent. Lyon just scored and is leading 2-3 with a player less. Looks like Man Utd might get knocked out

Totttenham have a very good shot at winning the Europa. They will face Bodo/Glint in the semi they have a higher chance of winning that tie.The problem is Tottenham is know to crumble when it matters the most and I'm afriaf they can crumble this time around.

As long as the Europa League is concerned, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are big names in the Europa League and as it stands now they should be considered as the favorite to lift the cup. No matter how bad these clubs appear to be in the English Premier League, when it comes to the Europa League, the play with different determination and momentum I do which is what will propel there to define out if both does not meet each other.

Manchester United and Tottenham are bigger than the rest of the people contesting for the title. Irrespective of the poor form, I still believe that the Europa League will return to the English Premier League and the favorites are rather Manchester United. They have all it takes to win it and I believe they will.

Yes, apart from luck Tottenham also have ability and they managed to reach the semi-finals this is a nice combination for them. It was a miraculous victory as all three goals came within seven minutes. I wrote United off after I saw that Lyon have scored two goals with ten men. I gave up on United and stopped watching the match until Fernandez scored the penalty and not quite long Mainoo. It was my younger brother that was watching the match and informing me. After he said it was 4-4, that was when I joined him in the living room to complete the match. I was marvel to see Maguire scored an important goal at the right time. What a night for United.

This was one of the greatest, if not the greatest comeback in Europa League history I think. Maybe not necessarily in terms of the number of goals being down, but the time that was left for Manchester United to turn it around and not even go through the penalties, but finish them off with 3 goals just like that. In the Champions League I think Barcelona has once done such a finish against PSG when PSG won the first leg 4-0.

A bit sad about Frankfurt, but they didn't play well enough. Bodo/Glimt is a nice newcomer, first time in their history I guess and not to underestimate at all. I believe they have a good chance against Tottenham. Manchester United vs. Bilbao is presumably the more interesting game.

Well, it was an impressive come-back!!  
When Man United was leading with 2 goals in the first half, I guessed they will win the match easily. Unfortunately, Lyon scored 4 goals in the second half of the match. Although Lyon got a red card, they could play more aggressive. Honestly, I have no hope anymore with Man United at that time because Lyon was leading with 2 goals difference. Surprisingly, Man United could equalize the score and they even score another goal. Finally, they could win the match with a narrow score. By they way, Lyon have played quite well although they must be eliminated by Man United.

In the next round, it seems Man United will play against Athletic Club. In theory, Athletic Club is stronger than Lyon. Man United needs to improve their defense if they want to defeat Athletic Club. If their defense is still rather fragile, Athletic Club will destroy them in semi-final. I personally expect to see Man United in the final UEL, it will be nice if Man United to be the champion.

Manchester United proved themselves today against Lyon, their comeback was massive at a time it would be argued that all hope is lost, they really reserved all the  strong tactics for the final minutes while Lyon relaxed a bit. Seems Lyon celebrated victory too soon and Manchester united turned around the results in just 7 minutes. Today again Maguire proved himself useful to the team, scoring the winner against Lyon is a good thing.

Manchester United should learn from their mistakes today relaxing too much which made Lyon get a comeback on them and even almost stole the ticket to the next round from them. Athletic club has a stronger defense, and if they loose guard, comeback like this might be harder for them. All the same, congratulations to Manchester United and Tottenham as they advance to the semi finals of the Europa league competition.

Initially everything went smoothly after Man United managed to score a quick goal and closed the first half with a score of 2-0, but Lyon managed to equalize to 2-2 after scoring 2 goals in just 6 minutes. Lyon had led 4-2 in extra time despite playing with 10 players, but Man United, who did not want to end their unbeaten record in the UEL this season, immediately responded quickly with an additional 3 goals in just 7 minutes.
What happened at Old Trafford was extraordinary, it was a spectacular match that happened in the UEL this season.

We truly witnessed a miraculous victory for Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday. Those who watched the match live would probably be forced to say that it was truly a miraculous victory as three goals were scored in just a few minutes. This match saw a remarkable comeback from Manchester United and the Lyons Club.

From what I saw Manchester United's players were temporarily discouraged in this match when they fell behind but it was true that Manchester United were reenergized in this UEFA Europa League match. 2 goals difference isn't that big, according to the bookie, people believe that Lazio will beat Bodo, although their performance doesn't look convincing. Just like the last match, they met Roma and the match ends in draw.

I will not blame Ruben Amorim for failing to guide Manchester United in the Premier League to the position where they will qualify for next season's European competition because any football fan who has watched Manchester United matches will know that Manchester United players are not performing well this season, and it would be difficult for Ruben Amorim to progress at Manchester United with such players. It's unbelievable with recent form of Manchester United in Premier League and with their big disadvantage before the comeback. Lyon with a sent-off player also contributes to this comeback of Manchester United, but this match is actually amazing one for the Red Evil. They are going to win a trophy in Europa League that will open a gate for their appearance in UEFA Champions League next season.

This comeback is insane and it's impressive, and Manchester United now are nearer to the final match. They will play with Athletic Bilbao in semi finals and with their bad defense as shown in matches with Lyon, Nico Williams will be dangerous threat against Manchester United in two semi final matches.

When the score was 2-4 I thought it was over for Manchester United, but they somehow saved the game. Maybe they were lucky with Lyon, because they are also going through hard times, but Manchester United still concede too many goals, and next time they may not be so lucky.

Of the opponents left, Athletic Bilbao seems the most difficult to me, because the final will be on their field and they really want to play there and I think Bilbao can beat Manchester United with such a weak defense.

I stopped watching the match when it was still 2:4 only for me to wake up this morning realizing Manchester United had won the game. Surprisingly Manchester United has qualified for the semifinals in the European league competition. With the help of Manoo and Maguire they now have hope of winning this competition. Tottenham may have qualified as well but I have this believe Manchester United will win it if they face Tottenham in the finals. In the meantime, they have to work harder if they want to win Bibao in the semifinals. I bet you it will be a lot harder for them at San Mamés Stadium.

I don't see Manchester United being able to make a miracle in the final minutes of the match, I think Manchester United will lose and they will be booed because Lyon played in extra time with 10 players but Manchester United played badly but 2 goals at the end of the match made it forgotten and everyone was lost in the euphoria of Manchester United's victory.

However, if we forget that and look at the overall performance/strength of Manchester United, I am a little pessimistic that they can win the Europa League title this season, especially in the semifinals later Manchester United will face a strong team from Spain, Bilbao, this will be a difficult obstacle for Manchester United.
