Yeah, I think majority of members here still believes that we should really work out ass off to earn money and be rich in the future. Although in crypto investments, there are a big chance that we can earn a lot by simple buying and then holding, just like a passive income.

 Using youth in planning a much better future preparation and earning money or trying to have wealth is a common dream of every individual, in this case there may be many ways for them to do to achieve it, especially now let's just say in the field of technology that they are targeting and it is true that crypto is one of the choices of those who have big returns when they are good at understanding Bitcoin especially.

I don't think anyone is saying that you can't earn good money outside of a physical job.
What people tend to say is you need to put in a lot of work and effort to expect high earnings, which is good advice.
Don't fall into the trap of chasing big returns with little to no work neglecting working on your skills. Even if you're successful and end up with a fortune, you'd be looking at your peers who mastered their professions, while you'd have nothing to show for yourself other than money. That's not the best place to be.

There's actually a lot of earning opportunities outside from a physical job and one of it is bitcoin. But you'll only earn if you put a lot of efforts in understanding bitcoin and its volatile market as well so you won't only invest or trade for nothing. Same with other earning job opportunities, hardwork and efforts are a must, whether it's offline or online jobs.

There is important advice said by wise people "Don't involve your parents in your business and investment decisions, they may not agree with your plans".

There is a reason behind this advice and what is clear is that this prohibition is probably not to let other people (including parents) ruin your big plans. Parents basically don't want their son to lose money because of the risks they consider, but they want their son to be successful. Not all parents understand business and investment, so don't make them worry about your big plans that have the risk of losing money.

From your story, all that started two years ago – 2022. One would think there had been a high level of exposure concerning Bitcoin then. Bitcoin is not a scam in any way as it is just a tool like many others, it is being used by criminals for their illegal purposes. The fault here lies entirely with the criminals and partly with the government for not being able to find a solution to thoroughly suppress the criminals.

Anything that is in the form of a commodity or has value can be misused, no need to go too far, i can give a simple example. Whoever they are, they are wrong. You don't have to prove that with Bitcoin. We are in the 21st century. Work isn't anymore about physical labor. Jobs don't have to be physically demanding anymore. It is very difficult to convince any person of something that he does not know about, and when it comes to seniors, it is very difficult to convince them of things they know about, yet seniors are not quick to accept innovations.

We should also remember that our parents are no longer at an age where they can learn new things or teach them new things, so we should continue with the things that have the potential to improve us. When we achieve success, show our success to our parents, which will make them happy and understand that this is a rewarding thing.

I can relate to this one because my parents aren't also involved into any investing at all.

When they saw me investing, they didn't support me, but didn't go against it either. They just let me do what I want which is investing because at first place, they aren't giving money to me and instead, I'm keeping a portion of my monthly salary for investing. It's good that at 18 years old, you already tried investing into Bitcoin. Maybe if you know more about Bitcoin already, try to educate them if they wanted to just to remove the doubts and who knows. They might support you after doing it.

You have all the times for you to do everything about investing. You have all the knowledge that you need and you just need to research it. You might commit mistakes along the process, but that doesn't affect you that much compared to those who just started investing when they're 50-60 years old. Good luck with your investing journey. You don't need physically demanding jobs to make money in this generation, machines are doing most of them for us, it's to aquire the skills to control the machines that is mostly our jobs now. Since the creation of the internet many people are now earning money from social media and a whole other areas like cryptocurrency. So you're welcome to cryptocurrency, there are many scams in the space but you've made the right choice of choosing Bitcoin.

It takes money to make money in the crypto industry and the beauty is that you're not in competition with anybody when it comes to Bitcoin investment. As you're earning salary I'd advise you to adopt the DCA method, make a budget of your salary and decide the percentage for buying Bitcoin when you're paid..

At your age, most people are still fascinated with buying video games and spending money on liabilities. Investing at this age is a good thing and you will not regret it in future. Your parents are speaking based on their level of understanding, and I don't blame them. Before the computer age, you had to go to a physical office every day for work, but this is not the case now. People can make good money from remote jobs and also engage in other online businesses like trading. I will suggest that you keep working and accumulating Bitcoin. Hopefully, you might make enough money from it that will make your life a comfortable life in the future.

I think it is unrealistic to think that in today's modern world there is no money without physically demanding jobs. Nowadays various people around the world are making money through online based activities especially freelancing, affiliate marketing as well. Are those who are earning money doing this activity physically dependent on the job, no.

Also OP you also mentioned that your parents don't believe in Bitcoin ie they consider Bitcoin as a scam. There are still ways to show your parents that Bitcoin is not a scam investment. Like you I ran into the exact same problem when I wanted to invest in Bitcoin. But when used the money earned from my bitcoin investment for my family, they believed that bitcoin investment is not a scam. Maybe you will also be able to convince your parents this way. Actually our parents are not of modern generation due to which they don't know that apart from physical labor money can be earned through online works.

Sometimes parents won't always support you with what you have in mind because they do not have knowledge of new innovations. But it is all good that you have a source of income to start bitcoin investment because investment in bitcoin depends if you have something doing that generates a source of income or not. Even if your parents support you to invest bitcoin then, and they didn't also support financially it would have been difficult for you to have a successful investment.

But now you have a source of income which you don't need to depend on your parents for finance you need to prove to them that you were not wrong with the idea of investing bitcoin.
