However it is good to take a break after losing a job and look at your shortcomings but it is not possible for everyone to take a long break. Many people are forced to quickly enter a new job if they have family expenses. Therefore, it seems more realistic to learn something new every day in addition to looking for a job.

And I don't think it is right to see losing a job only as your own failure. Many times people lose their jobs due to changes in the company's situation or technology, recently we see after AI adoption. So, it is wise to gradually update yourself, understanding which skills will be useful in the future, while trying to maintain income.
Only someone who has savings can afford to take some time to figure things out after losing their job. That’s exactly why I always say that everyone should have an emergency fund. Because it’s scary to imagine being fired and immediately having to look for another job, sometimes being forced to accept anything just to keep earning money. Then you get stuck in that job, constantly tired, with neither the energy nor the time to look for something better. And honestly, that’s a very difficult situation to be in.
Nothing is permanent. A person who has been in a job for a long time and is very confident in the employer can also leave his job at any time. In every case you will need an emergency fund. Those who can understand the importance of an emergency fund create it and are ready for any emergency. Just as a long-term investor has to live his life with discipline, he also has to build an emergency fund considering the future. As the market fluctuates, there will be some events in your real life where nothing will be in your favor, at that time your only reliable thing will be the emergency fund, everyone will probably agree with me on this.

Everyone can have a financial crisis, someone involved in business or someone may have a bad time with your job. It would be clever to prepare for unexpected times during good times.

Exactly. When we lose a job, taking a short break while looking for better opportunities is really ideal, but in reality many situations often force us to act quickly because we don't have emergency funds. And that's one of the reasons why we're advised to have an emergency fund in case something we don't want happens.

Especially nowadays losing a job isn't always because we made a mistake at the company but because of changes in technology and AI that can lead to layoffs. So the best solution is that if we're still working, we should keep honing our skills especially in technology developments, so we can earn extra income or even have a source of income that allows us to work flexibly even if we're no longer employed.

So indeed, as long as we still have a job always prioritize building an emergency fund even from small side incomes, so we don't get trapped in exhausting work that drains our energy like you mentioned. Focus on opportunities that give room to grow not just surviving, so we can break out of the tiring cycle and become better.

This is the reason why you should not rely on one source of income because you might lose it at anytime, diversifying your income stream will also help incase you lose your job and with that you can have a short break to figure out a better step to take. Most people who have these jobs alone without a secondary source of income don’t usually get enough money that will allow them have an emergency fund because they spend most of their salary or wages on their basic need, at the end of the day they will remain with only a little after they have settle their needs.

Nowadays people lose their jobs very fast especially those working for private organizations or companies but then they are also available remote jobs which you can take as your side hustle depending on your skills, so having other sources of income is very important.

Yes you are very correct, savings is very important as an employee because truth be told, no job last forever. No matter how good you are with your employer, situations can change at any time. Apart from even accepting any kind of job in order to be able to just earn money, you might lose your job and remain jobless for some time that even there will be no job at the moment to manage and only your savings can save you then.
I won’t still blame some low income earners that are unable to save because their salary is not even okay to take care of themselves, talk more of savings.

Or a person is forced, even while having a job, to still look for some additional options. And work two or three jobs, constantly remaining in an endless search. Yes, there are no guarantees against being laid off, and that is frightening. But far from always is there an opportunity to set aside money for a cushion. Or even for anything at all, really. I myself am very drawn to and find that the idea of an emergency fund fits my personality. But so far, I am unable to realize it for myself, unfortunately.

Although everyone is aware of this, sometimes the situation does not allow us to work according to the right plan. Saving is good and saving increases the freedom and time to make the right decisions in people's lives. But most of the time, we have to struggle to meet the needs of our wife, children and family, and despite knowing these things, we do not implement them.

After losing a job, most of the time, if there is no savings in hand, then the biggest pressure that usually arises in front of people is the need for immediate income, so people are forced to accept any job that is available without making any judgment. As a result, they do not have the time and mental energy to find a job of their choice or a good one in the long term. And that is why it is said that necessity does not obey the law.

No one is immune to job loss, of course. But it is both in our interest and in our power to work as hard and correctly as possible so that we don't get fired. I understand that there are circumstances beyond a person's control. But if you develop skills, move up within the company, and prove your value every time, the chances of a sudden dismissal still decrease. And that is precisely what can be influenced.

Saving is not always about discipline most at times life just simply puts people in situations where survival comes first, just imagine a situation where you have a family depending on you, it becomes very difficult to follow financial plans perfectly and that is why having even a small emergency fund can make a huge difference, it actually gives you breathing space when things go wrong, so you don’t have to accept the first opportunity out of desperation.

A person’s first instinct when they lose their job is to find a new one right away. But it wouldn’t hurt to take a few time off and reflect why you lost the job. Maybe there’s something you lack. Maybe there’s something you can improve. Maybe you can invest in yourself more and learn new things. Learn new skill sets. Explore and experience new more things that could help you land a better and more stable job in the future.

Unfortunately not everyone has the privilege to not work and focus on themselves that’s why they never improve in terms of the job they land on. Since they don’t have the time to focus on themselves and their skills, they remain only on a specific level and their wages are also the same.
I believe everything happens for a reason and we have to take these things in a positive way not as a loss may be in the short term the person faces some hurdles and difficulties but in the long run these type of incidents makes a person stronger as losing one opportunity gives us time and motivation to improve ourselves like learning new skills and finding something much better etcetera because a difficult phase is exactly what pushes us towards a better one. Just trust the process and don't lose hope .

It's very hard to find people trying to improve themselves after losing a job, so they can stand a better chance in advancing themselves when they get another job. You don't have to blame them, because most people survive on their salary. So when they lose their job, the first thing on their mind is to get another one, so they can survive,  rather than thinking of acquiring a new skill to help them get a better job, or make them do better in a new job. It's really good to acquire new skills to help you fit better in a new job or to improve your position in your present job, but like I said it's very difficult for most people to do it when their salary barely sustains them or when they don't even have a job.
The best time to acquire a new skill is when you still have a source of income, when it's removed, you go into survivor mode, unless you've someone actively supporting you or your from a country that has active social services.

Loss of a job hits differently for different people.
For someone that does more than one job, he can cut down on his expenses and try to adjust with the new earnings while he skills-up to have yet a chance at a better opportunity.
For another person who lost his job, but has good savings to hold on to him for a while. Such a person can give himself a definite timeframe to skill up and try their hands on better opportunities.

It's worse if the government isn't in any way responsible to it's jobless citizens, just like mine and that's why most people who lose their source of livelihood in my country goes into survivor mode.

Getting an emergency funds aside is not a problem, but the main issue is that the income is it enough? Honestly people who eare through salary fine it very difficult to save, because it is not always enough that is why they find it very difficult to even save. Most of the salary earners do take advantages of loan and with that a lot of them can bodly show you what they have achieved since they are working years. If I am in this particular shoe, and I have responsibility on my head, I will look for another opportunity for me to continue to take care of my family.

That hot spot where you are the only one in the family who is earning and the family depends on you is what I don’t pray and wish for. Any struggling person will literally not be thinking about how to save money from salary; most of the time, the salary is even spent before the payday. The only set that can have savings while handling all family expenses are those earning better salaries with other extra jobs added to their income. Aside from that, I understand how hard it can be to save money from such situations.

If you have any steady source of income then it is natural lack drive to put in extra effort required to enhance your skill. Often, it is only after losing our job that we become truly focused on learning something new. Despite immense pressure involved it is precisely this pressure that compels us to learn new thing quickly.

Even without savings you can get started by utilizing free resource or YouTube. You may not have access to govt assistance, but in today's world it is entirely possible to survive independently & acquire new skill, many people do exactly that. So in my opinion instead of relying on or blaming govt, one should take personal initiative to upgrade his skill if he truly want and focus on self development.

I understand your points very well and this is the mindset of about 80% of working class people, but it should not be so. The comfort mentality is a defeated one and that is what keeps people vulnerable on the long-run. This is a clear indication of people who are mentally lazy.

I think people should understand that life and finances are like a moving train and if you don't make the move early to improve your value and earn better, your current value would still become outdated in the nearest future and you'll be a victim of your own inaction and mental laziness.

No matter what you earn and the level you're, there should always be room for upgrading your competence. The comfort mentality should be eliminated at all costs.

It is common to hear people always blame their employer why they were sacked. You will hardly hear them state how they failed in their responsibilities. You raised an important point OP, we need to always reflect on why we failed at every point in time. There is an adage in my place that says "Don't look at where you fall but consider why you fell". As adults, we should always consider our faults and devise means to avoid such mistakes.

A useful staff will not be easily sacked by any employee, this is why we should ensure that we seek for diverse means to develop ourselves so that we will become more skilled and productive in our workplace. If you have skills that are highly needed on the employment market, you will hardly be jobless.
Your point about self reflection is agreeable, it is very easy to put all the blame on the employer when someone loses a job. But at the same time, one has to focus on performance and also try to identify that what went wrong. Similarly, if someone is a valuable employee is about working hard but also tries to improve skills and adapt to the changing environment of work place. It is also the responsibility of the employees to retain the employees who so consistence good performance and be willing to learn about new things. In today's changing and technological environment, the job market is very competitive developing relevant and in-demand skills can improve the chances of keeping employment.
