Ohio State has officially taken the initiative to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment for taxes and other services. In 2018,they allowed the council to accept Bitcoin as a form of business tax, but that was stopped due to legal issues. However, now they have a new law called the Ohio Blockchain Act, where any transaction in Bitcoin over $200 will have to pay taxes. Currently, they will accept Bitcoin as a form of payment, which was announced in early April and passed in May. And today, the work is complete through vendor approval. If states or countries start using Bitcoin in this way, then the acceptance of Bitcoin will increase significantly worldwide. Many countries will start holding Bitcoin as a reserve. Such concerns will definitely have a positive impact on Bitcoin.

A new country has joined the Bitcoin strategic reserve proposal today: the Netherlands.

As the first country to legalize Bitcoin, El Salvador holds over $700 million in Bitcoin reserves. Some countries have long been storing Bitcoin in strategic reserves, such as Ukraine, which has 46,000 Bitcoins, A small country like Bhutan has around 12,000 Bitcoins stored in their strategic reserves.
The United Kingdom has around 61,000 Bitcoins in its strategic reserve. Despite the fact that the country with the largest population has imposed an outright ban on Bitcoin, it still has around 194,000 Bitcoins in its strategic reserve.
The United States, known as a Bitcoin investment country, has so far accumulated around 198,000 confiscated Bitcoins, although the exact number is still unknown.
Some countries have proposed to reserve and mine Bitcoin, including Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, etc. However, very soon other countries in the world will come forward to make reserves for Bitcoin and they will definitely keep Bitcoin in their strategic reserves.

Accepting Bitcoin is a very different thing than using Bitcoin as a strategic reserve.
The vendor might not actually hold any bitcoin, while "accepting" bitcoin.
Take Ferrari when sells its car in the USA: they "accept bitcoin" , but in reality those coins get changed on the fly by a merchant: clients sends bitcoin, those get immediately converted into USD that are sent to Ferrari.
Ferrari never get hold of Bitcoins.
This is why this news is misleading.

Yeah they just add Bitcoin for convenience and marketing purposes to people who read those news they posted. I also see lots of merchant adopting that but they convert directly their receive BTC to fiat to avoid losing its value when sudden drop happen.

Its really more better to hear if this merchants would announce that they accept BTC on their store and HODL Bitcoin since this is another level of adoption from those merchants.

But still this is good small developments but hopefully later on they realize that its good to hold their Bitcoin's earned rather than converting it immediately to fiat.

I am not sure about what that declaration implies.
What I am sure about however is that if a Nation State announces the buying for a National Strategic reserve (it would be the second one, after El Salvador), an imitation game would start immediately, based on pure game theory.

It is a good development to see more countries establishing bitcoin reserves. I think leaders are beginning to understand why they need to have bitcoin reserves.

The party have refirm it's commitments that it will Establish a national Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in the UK. Specifically no date was mentioned as to when the bitcoin reserve will be established.
