I have but the only reason that I have done so is because of what I do for a living. As a financial advisor I of course help people with their finances so people such as my family and friends approach me constantly asking for help and often times bitcoin comes up. But I take the Andreas Antonopoulos position here. (if you're not familiar with him, I would pretty comfortably say he's regarded as the greatest bitcoin educator of all time. Former bitcoin dev and just makes things as easy as possible to understand). Don't share your financial info, it's no ones business. He stated "let me talk about bitcoin, so you don't have to" essentially taking one for the team. So yes I do, but because of what I do for a living.

As it's right now, there is no any of my close friend that doesn't know about Bitcoin. What we discussed now is Bitcoin beyond ordinary discussion, it's the Bitcoin politics and institutional investors we discuss now a days. You know these people hold into Bitcoin in billions and there instability can make have a big impact in the Bitcoin price, this is what we discussed most of the time since everyone knows much already, unless it's something new about Bitcoin. As for people that are not too close to me and they are still my friend, I don't discuss Bitcoin with them and I have my reasons. The first one is financial status, people think that because you talk about Bitcoin and know much about Bitcoin, you will have much Bitcoin somewhere but you are pretending, such things can make people want to do what you don't expect and you don't really know what they might have in their mind. They can also see you as place to borrow and when you say you don't have, it becomes a problem. This are main reasons I don't talk about with people that are not close.

Spreading awareness about bitcoin is something i try to do in a balanced way. I talk about its potential to revolutionize payments and investments but also highlight real world challenges like scalability and market manipulation. This way, people can approach it with realistic expectations.
There is risk in making people aware of your BTC investments and spreading the word though. But limit it to your trusted relatives and friends, you'll never know there are criminals out there trying to get that money out your hands. Remember that there are lots of crimes related to BTC kidnapping for ransom already. You wouldn't want that to happen to you or your family members. Just silently revolutionizing it.

In theory yes, but bitcoin is so volatile that using it as a currency has never been a big concern for people.
We often refer to bitcoin as a currency, a decentralized currency, but in reality, do any of us regularly use it as a currency? I don't think many people do that.
Allow me to answer that - majority use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency only as a speculative asset. People seems not to care about decentralization, anonymity, transparency of transaction. If I start explaining or introducing such features of Bitcoin, a person will stop listening to me or follow my though in a minute. All what people want to hear is "what to buy and when it will cost 10 times more". Many even are dont pay attention what they are buying, they look only at "green +%" and dont even remember the name of altcoin, not even speaking about project name and altcoins use cases. It is true but many people do not dare to admit, most of us only consider the market as a speculative market to get rich quick. Not only newbies, even we often discuss about the decentralization and anonymity of bitcoin in front of others but in reality, we spend most of our time checking bitcoin and altcoins prices every day. I used to wonder if one day bitcoin suddenly became stable and no longer brought great profits, how many people would continue to stick with bitcoin as they claimed? Decentralization, anonymity, and security are what make bitcoin beautiful, but they are not what people are looking for in bitcoin.

I think not many, maybe geeks only. If Bitcoin prices did not show such growth and would be tens or hundred dollars, we wont be having such industry as we have now. Take "from $100 to $100k" from Bitcoin and it wont be interested if not abandoned. Because of that, I dont introduce crypto to friends, as they are only interested how much they will earn by the end. There are stocks that have same "earning feature", that is why I dont even struggle to introduce or educate. Everyone is familiar with stock, everyone can open google, read a book, watch movie to get info themselves.

Yep, most out there are in crypto due to its potential in profits - that's completely true in the stage we are in currently. However, if a person is interested in the details and how Bitcoin works - why not to share some facts with him? Maybe that will help him not to look too much toward memes that much

I take time to explain bitcoin whenever the opportunity arises especially the concept of blockchain and how it ensures transparency. I also encourage people to learn about wallet security and not to rely on exchanges alone. It's all about empowering others with the right knowledge
But you wouldn't do it with the people that are not interested, right? You can be the biggest enthusiast out there, but people around you - not so much.

Fully agree. I think a big mistake that a lot of people make (understandably as teaching is a skill in itself) is bouncing between topics in no chronological/logical order. Giving the right knowledge though also from in a digestible order is the best way to go. The core principles and origins and the basics to getting started is a great way to start...avoiding diving into a rabbit hole is key. Preparation is also key, before trying to educate someone on such a complex and new topic like Bitcoin, blockchain or anything of the like.

Yep, new people would be lost pretty quickly in BTC if the info presented is too complicated. There is lots to dig, but not as much determination sometimes to do that from the start. That's why things should start out small, and then progress to more difficult topics and details.

Generally we are involved in a thought to make quick profits by relying on a slightly smaller capital and it does not only apply to beginners because almost all of us may have thought so. But after a long journey that brings us to this industry, there is some knowledge that is much more rational regarding the returns that match what we put in. We are also trapped with something that we may not be able to achieve, such as hoping for big profits by relying on small money and it continues to affect our minds all the time. If at some point the price of bitcoin stabilizes then the interest like now will definitely decrease because people see no opportunity to make maximum money like now. Decentralization, anonymity and security may not be something that will be talked about anymore when bitcoin stabilizes and I am sure it will be forgotten a little.

Yes, it is a very good decision to introduce Bitcoin to others. There are many people who do not know about Bitcoin, so it would be a good initiative to give them an idea about Bitcoin. I also gave ideas about Bitcoin to some of my close friends. I cannot discuss Bitcoin with everyone, because Bitcoin is completely illegal in our country. Now I don't know if cryptocurrency is legal in your country? If cryptocurrency is illegal in your country, then you should not discuss Bitcoin with everyone, there may be legal trouble. Now the most important thing is, you should never recommend anyone to invest in Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is risky, not everyone can hold Bitcoin for a long time. If they are interested in investing on their own, you will give them investment ideas.

A lot of persons are aware of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, in re- introduction, you have to specifically differentiate them properly so that it will be cleared because alot of persons are mixing them up and nearly understand these two, which has made people feel the are the same and if talked about Bitcoin they just ignore, except those that feel the need to get another information and experience about the previous one they have gotten, which means they are determined to know the differences among Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so that they can understand it better and choose which one they will like to invest mainly in BTC, because of the zeal to make money fast by some crypto enthusiasts and so fraudster which they gave been a victim most persons now see online money as fraud, therefore we need to put more effort in other for us to break through. Like On Sunday when I went to church someone was trying to introduce one of the cryptocurrency to her friend, and the guy quickly cut her off that he does not want to hear anything about online money, he only believes on physical work and cash and he told her not to bring such thing to him again, such person will be very difficult to convince even with evidence, maybe he has been a victim of one of those fraudsters. Therefore we need to work very hard, in as much as we will be introducing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to friends and others .

I would definitely praise a true fan of Bitcoin. Those who love Bitcoin are always interested in promoting and spreading it. But not only promotion, there are many people, especially friends or relatives who do not know about Bitcoin or are unaware of the potential of Bitcoin. I think it is responsibility as a well-wisher to convey the message of Bitcoin to them. In the future, you will not find anyone who does not know about Bitcoin. So, no one accuse you not informing them at that time, which is why you should have informed them in advance. When someone is inspired about Bitcoin, there can be some negative experiences. For example, if someone invests without knowing and the price of Bitcoin decreases, he can blame himself for that loss. On the other hand, if someone does not know the security issues, there can also be a possibility of losing Bitcoin. That is why if a person is being told about Bitcoin, he should be told the basics, starting with how to protect it.

I live in an area where most people are illiterate and have no idea about digital currencies. However, when I talk to people around me about Bitcoin, they are surprised and refuse to believe that there is a currency that is known all over the world. However, most people trust paper money more than digital currency, so I don't think there will be any benefit in discussing Bitcoin among them. That's why I'm forced to not discuss Bitcoin and share it with friends for now.

I have never done it, meaning I have never taken the initiative to explain Bitcoin or crypto to my friends or others people. I don't want to share information and knowledge about BTC with someone else, maybe it's not safe for me. Moreover, it is very important to increase your own knowledge before explaining Bitcoin or other crypto to others. But I encourage those who are very interested in learning about Bitcoin to learn about it on Google or YouTube. Because you can find detailed information about Bitcoin on Google or YouTube, which can be very helpful for beginners.

I've been in this industry for 9 years, but I've never been able to share bitcoin with anyone I know, except when someone asks me about bitcoin or cryptocurrency because they know I'm in this field of crypto space.
I think I've had about five people ask me about bitcoin, and of course I've always answered with a simple explanation, but even then I know they didn't understand what I said even though it was very simple.

Not really, only to very very close friends and family, i don't talk about BTC when i meet just any of my friends. I don't know if you are aware, but $5 wrench attacks are now becoming kind of popular, so you have to be careful about the places you openly claim to be a bitcoiner. I keep it to my very close circle and the best thing of all is that most of my close circle are either bitcoiners or into crypto.
Exact mate, a bitcoiner should be careful the kind of people he tells about his bitcoin portfolios because there are many bad guys out there looking for who to steal from. With the kind of terrible things and sad news flying around about how bad guys robb Bitcoiners, it's becoming scary to tell people about Bitcoin. Both friends are not to be trusted because they might tell there own friends exactly what you told them. However, can only tell my family about Bitcoin Bea they are my family.

A good product sales itself and Bitcoin is doing very fine, it's increasing in awareness and adoption everyday. People are hearing about how early adopters have made so much money, including those that entered last year and they want in to be a part of the profiters. Introduction and preaching to others to buy Bitcoin was necessary when it hasn't gained so much reputation, when majority of people were still scared whether it was a scam. With the accomplishment of Bitcoin so far anybody that doesn't want to hold it should be a matter of choice rather than trust. I only discuss Bitcoin with fellow bitcoiners and people that I've observed their genuine interest to learn about it.

Hmmm, that's really nice!!! Spreading Bitcoin knowledge is such impressive work. But let me tell you something, before giving the awareness of the Bitcoin knowledge, you should need to fill yourself first regarding through the Bitcoin knowledge otherwise it will be hard for you to convince someone with the right mean of Bitcoin, and if you don't have much more knowledge, you can simply refer it from an authentic source. Apart from that, how about sharing Bitcoin knowledge with the people of the world if I elaborate myself? So, I will say that as much as possible, give just a stream source to interested people and don't become a mentor because no one has any credibility, they can think maliciously about you after seeing your Bitcoin. So it would be better to stay away form such kind of work otherwise your life may be in danger.
