Nevertheless, it's important to be able to predict the future to avoid putting yourself in a position where you, as players, owe someone money. You just have to put some effort and find them. The horror stories of gambling addicts, who had ruined their lives are more popular and are shared more often than the success stories of people, who got rid of their addiction.

There are other reasons people gamble too. Sometimes they gamble to socialize, or to relax, or to distract themselves from other things they have to do, which is never a good reason. Some people also see gambling as a form of entertainment, like going to the movies or watching a hockey game.

This is just one of the sad truth of gambling addiction.  When someone is deep in it already, the mindset will just shift from I am playing for fun to i just need one win to recover everything. And once that thought start to come in, they will start to do things they normally would not even consider, borrowing money, taking loans, even chasing losses with money they can not afford to lose, I have even seen people that sell their properties distressed sales just to get money to gamble..

That's true. The stress is where it mostly starts, and after that, revenge comes. The mentality of getting back what a gambler lost, and that's not easy to shake out of the system. It will keep on haunting the gambler as if he cannot accept the loss and wants his money back, as the gambling site owes him that money. It's not, or should I say, it should not be like that. Yeah, actually most people will try to pay back the money they owe because they are not bad people they are just caught up with their emotion without even realizing the outcomes could be bad too.
