Yeah don't forget that we haven't even reached the entire potential of the community today on the forums. I'm sure we'll get a lot more signatures tomorrow. Hopefully something good will come of this all

Hello community! I've spent a lot of time on the sustainability idea, it takes time to think about these things. The devs have also invested some of time into this as well, just in talking to me and with their own thinking before this. Leave some feedback. Add your own ideas, too! VOTE as well! I added a poll! https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=521.0Thanks!

Big jump in hashrate again. KGW is a good thing to stabilize, but it is a finetuning cascade. Once out of balance too much it takes a long time to correct. (Maybe a sort of 2 cascades KGW can be implemented? 1 for finetuning and 1 for more big swings? Don't know if that is possible ) Last block found is more than 3 hours ago: 118413 3h 36m 54s 2014-09-16 05:22:19 +0200 http://www.guldencointrader.nl/In the hours before a lot of blocks were found fast, so now a period of long blockfinding time is there to compensate to mean blocktime of 2,5 minutes. It happened also 6 hours ago at block 118295:

It happened also 6 hours ago at block 118295: I would just like to inform everyone that testing for Digishield has already begun in our test environment and a date for Digishield will be announced when we happy with the implementation. We know this is a pressing issue and is currently our devs top priority to get released. We will keep everyone updated with our progress and thanks to our dedicated miners that keep pushing the blocks forward.

The problem is an incoming payment is also delayed; I opened my wallet to see if the incoming payment had arrived, but the wallet hangs.

Miners get their contribution eventually if they keep mining. After this block, a lot of blocks are found fast, so a lot of blockrewards to them also.

I mean a normal transaction, from exchange to wallet. I know it will be processed, but I can imagine the delay for i.e. the cafe owner in Amsterdam would be a bit of a problem if someone pays for a coffee

Transactions in the store are within seconds. Blockconfirmation is done afterwards with Guldenpay

What a BRILLIANTLY build coin Guldencoin is! :-) @patrick; tijd voor plan G ook briljant! I have to agree, a lot of thought has gone into these potential issues in the background. I am also happy to see it's the guldencoin devs implementing the digishield change and not getting outside devs to do it. So when it comes to future updates the team does not need to rely on anyone else. I saw what happened with CINNI and Crypt coin, they outsourced dev work and when things went bad they weren't able to sort out the problems themselves.

Network hashrate 68 GH/s atm. Pricelevel with this hashrate should be at 5000 sat at least The other way around? Next blockfind will take a while.

I just spoke with GJ, it's not an attack. Apparently the algo that calculates the nethash is finally recognizing the hash a lot better lol. This is mostly Clevermining, but contact was made with the multipool and they've agreed to slow down the NLG mining until Digishield has been implemented. So no worries, as GJ said to me.

Someone identified it before as the profit switching pool Clevermining and this pool has 200 - 300 GH mining power from witch they are pointing a certain amount to those coins that looks the most profitable at the moment; they are switching away as soon as the difficulty raised too much leaving the normal miners with far too high difficulty until it has leveled back again. KGW reacts too slow to those types of hashrate swings, thats why devs are implementing some version of DGW which was developed to handle exactly those problems.
