Carlo Ancelloti is more far better than Xabi Alonso because I don't see any sign from Xabi Alonso that he's capable of leading this team to any success. I don't think this team will be patient with him because Real Madrid is well known as a team obsessed with winning trophies.  Their plan is to sack him if he lose to Manchester City and he lost, but they have given him another chance again to prove himself against Alaves in their next La Liga Match which if he lose the match he's going to be sacked.

Vinicius tried in the first half, but he didn't perform like Rodrigo in my opinion. I don't know why Xabi Alonso doesn't like to start Rodrigo in the starting eleven because I always think that with Rodrigo, Vinicius, and Mbappe, Real Madrid will achieve great results. Can you imagine the next matches to be played as of January 20?    It's an unbelievable planning mate. Why would you take a break like 1.5 month? It's too much you know. You could have prepared the schedule better than this.

I know there is AFCON but people will miss the CL a lot for such a long time. I hope they make it better next year. We deserve it. League phase shouldn't include long breaks. You can do it in the stages further.

We are in 9th place even though we should be in 6th or 7th place, which is occupied by Inter and Real Madrid, who are better in terms of goals scored. Winning against Inter in the last game slightly covered up our performance in the Premier League.

We have an advantage because other teams are facing the African Cup of Nations, while our squad has no players who will be leaving to join their national teams for the AFCON.
Marseille is the team Liverpool will face on January 22, 2026, but that is still a long way off, so we can focus more on improving our performance in the English Premier League.

Real Madrid need to put more effort into their performance, as they are currently having small lapses that make us think they may not be able to make it that far in both the Champions League and LaLiga. But to me, I think this happens in football, and if they have a little time to restructure themselves and their performance, everything will be back on track. I disagree if you say Ancelotti is not a better coach than Xabi Alonso, the comparison between the two is very significant, Ancelotti is far superior in terms of trophies and experience. Ancelotti dismissal stemmed from his failure to compete with Barcelona in La Liga and his failure in the Champions League. Real Madrid were also tempted by Alonso trophy winning performance with Leverkusen.
Now the situation is not much different from last season, Real Madrid is starting to lose momentum, the defeat to Man City has made the situation even more heated, even though Xabi managed to lead Real Madrid to defeat Alaves, the victory will not change the situation.

On the one hand, I agree with Benzema statement that Real Madrid decline is due to ego issues, and the lack of proper connection between the players. Furthermore, mounting injury problems further complicate the situation, limiting Xabi Alonso options. Ultimately, Real Madrid failed to establish a rhythm and lost consistency, I think this is a consequence of building a star studded squad.

We now have some teams who secure their stands in the next stage of the Champions League.

Some teams manage to secured it while some failed to secure it because there is an improvements in some teams this season, Paris Saint Germain that took a long gap to top other teams in the UEFA champion League table last season, they lose two times in this new season to drop points, but that  doesn't mean Paris Saint Germain will not try their best to come up to the same level with Arsenal because they have some weak team to play in their next rounds which they will win those teams to come back to second or third position, I think this is the best time to some teams to prepare to play with those teams in the UEFA champion League competition because some teams will not be allow some teams to defeat them than to draw with them to reduce their opportunity of winning the match.

PSG have won the champions league last season and there performance was not good at this season so he will be very difficult for PSG to complete very well this season in the Champions League. But they will definitely move to knockouts stage in the competition and fight for the second trophy but I no that he will be very difficult for psg to win the ucl this time, Arsenal are much favourites to win the trophy but we will wait after the group stage we will see if Arsenal can perform better after the first stage because Arsenal always perform low when is time to perform much better that they will win the trophy. Currently they have been performing pretty weak and making Manchester City get close to them in the league table and now they have succeed in the Champions League group stage they will finish at the top table.

The news isn't rumors, it was said before the Manchester City match that if Xabi Alonso lost, he would be sacked, but they pardoned him and gave him another chance. Real Madrid doesn't have patience with any coach if they're not performing well. And according to Fabrizio Romano, I read hours ago that if Xabi Alonso wants to remain at Real Madrid, he must win three consecutive matches or he'll be sacked. Here are the matches.

Pepe Guardiola is well aware about his problems and also know how to set them from the last season, they were badly hurt by performance and injuries but now suddenly they are back in business with this big win against Real Madrid at Bernabéu, now it seems that they are with good confidence.

I can see that Manchester city fans have started to brag about their team, it’s now that they know pep Gaurdiola knows their problem and he can solve it, when this same Manchester city was struggling to even get a little better like they did now, the same Fans were saying that Pep Guardiola is confuse and all that.

However, Manchester city performance is gradually getting better, they’re now top 2 in the premier league table, which I can say that they are doing great.

I hope they keep the consistency going. The premier league is getting more interesting, as some top clubs getting close to Arsenal in point, I think this is where we will know whether Arteta is going to get the premier league trophy or not. so far arsenal has been doing well in the Champions League and from the way they have been performing they actually have a high chance of winning the title. Bayerns loss was a big one and for them to make a comeback they need to win Arsenal with a good number of goals and that might not be possible. well, anything can happen, Arsenal's form isn't really as the way it was in the beginning

Yes true the game was unusual, they usually score several goals, instead it was a monotonous game, the only good thing that was eventful on the pitch, but few goals made everything less fun.
Yesterday's matches were very eventful, the most disappointing being Real Madrid's defeat.

Yes, now the idea for the teams is to minimize injuries since all the most important ones have qualified or are travelling at a high level and therefore those who have to play limit the possible damage that will occur, it is clear that this thing is applied to all the big clubs, but some just can't manage it like Real Madrid

One thing to consider is top 8 versus top 24. Because even being in 9-16 level is important since you will play against weaker teams that are barely getting in. So while it is true that if you guaranteed your space, then you can rest your players and lower the injury concern, but if you did not, then I would assume that it would be smarter if you keep playing so that you can get a better position. Just because you are guaranteed to be in top 24, doesn't mean it's good, you can still play to be in top 8, or at least close.
