Liverpool had a truly forgettable season, they also made notable signings that are very noteworthy such as Federico Chiesa who apparently was never made to play properly and i don't think this is a positive thing for the club, which is currently also undergoing changes to the team.

Liverpool result last night was not surprising but how Liverpool performed was a call for concern. PSG deserves every credit and of course the victory. They were the better side in every aspect yesterday. If it was like two seasons ago, I would still have some confidence that Liverpool will turn things around in the second leg just like they once did against Barcelona but unfortunately this is not longer the Liverpool that were once determined to make a come back. I never knew a day will come where Liverpool would play full 90 minutes without a short on target. It was probably a good bye to champions league yesterday and playing next season is not yet certain. Things are absolutely rough tbh.

But it baffles me how Liverpool become this weak after some amazing performance last season and they still went ahead to get some good quality players only to come back this season and become this awful it still baffles me, like seriously speaking if anyone had told me a time would come when Liverpool will play the whole 90 minutes without a shot on target i'd say it's a lie, normally it was a well deserved victory for Paris Saint Germain but how Liverpool performed was very alarming like no sign of seriousness, i'm afraid if the should keep it this way then i must say even Europa league is not sure for them.

Football is never about just one man but offloading Liverpool off just like that might be a bit too sudden at Anfield Liverpool way of surprising people especially in big games like Champions league PSG may have the advantage but counting Liverpool out is completely especially at Anfield feels a bit of premature to me .

To be honest, I didn’t expect Barcelona to lose the first leg, as they had the home advantage this time .. but it turned out that the red card really did pave the way for Atletico Madrid. It’s actually quite intriguing to see Barcelona  and Atlético Madrid go head to head, and what’s interesting is that there are similarities between them , as the two sides had already faced each other in La Liga a few days earlier, and on that occasion Atlético Madrid were shown a red card just before half-time , which paved the way for Barcelona to secure the victory.

I think the second leg will  be really thrilling and exciting as Barcelona will, of course , be fighting tooth and nail to turn the tie around , but that might not be easy, given that Atlético will be playing at home..

This is football and anything can still happen in the second leg, Barcelona only managed to concede two goals in the first leg, and there is a comeback from two goals. Atletico Madrid might look strong at home, but Barcelona can still win the match, I only lost confidence in Barcelona winning the match due to the absence of Raphinha, if he is available, I’m sure Barcelona can score more than two goals.

I was going to say that Barcelona were hampered by a red card again, but they played just as well in the second half as they did in the first and dominated the match. They also created plenty of scoring chances, but they were just unlucky, especially Rashford who should have scored yesterday. This was his chance to shine, but he couldn't. As for Atletico, in my opinion they took full advantage of all their opportunities. Alvare's free kick was executed superbly, leaving the goalkeeper no chance, and the goal in the second half was also very important, just one attack was enough to score.

Any historical series is irrelevant, plus, let's say Atlético hasn't won there in a while, but how many times has there been a draw? Even a draw would kill your bet. The issue isn't who won or lost, but whether the odds were justified. 1.50 for taking a risk against Atlético (which can objectively pull off a surprise against any team) isn't sufficient compensation. Before the game I wrote that 2.78 on Atletico Double Chance is what attracts interest, and I still think I was right (although there is no evidence).

As it stands now, Bayern Munich and atletico madrid are the strongest favourite to progress in their respective games, and I equally don't see any miracles happening in this game, unless something like red red card came very early in the first half against any of these favorites teams, aside that I don't think that real madrid or Barcelona stand a chance to qualify into the semi finals of this year uefa champions league. I think you are being a bit harsh here on the their attack , yes missing Raphinha is a big blow no doubt but writing them off completely might be too early Barcelona have shown plenty of times they can control their games even in tough situation Lamine can carry it all alone but the truth about it players likes Lewandowski and Ferran are still capable on their day they have been inconsistent not weak but if they click at the perfect time a two goals deficit is not impossible to turn it around.

If Raphina were in that game, Barcelona would have scored at least one goal in the first half. Rashford doesn't press, doesn't create chances, doesn't make runs behind the defence to receive a long ball and isn't clinical enough. Ferran Torres is just a clueless player who can only convert if he has all the space in the world. Lewandowski is someone who knows all the right things to do, but can't do it because his body and his mind wouldn't let him.
Now, you have only Lamine Yamal, who is a great chance creator, but not a prolific goal scorer. So he will create chances for these people, but they won't be able to score, and they can't create for him.

In terms of the game it was seen that the home team was more dominant but a surprise was also present in the match where many parties preferred to believe in the home team in winning the match so many of the predictions made by the bookie turned out to be wrong this was because they suffered a defeat to their rivals namely Atletico Madrid.
There are some parties who claim that by receiving a red card received by a Barcelona player that made the game change.
