I thought a new goal-scoring record would be set in the Club Brugge-Rangers match, but it wasn't. The score was 6-0 in the 52nd minute. This is a big match for 2 big clubs in each of their domestic competitions and yesterday's match was actually quite good, it's just that my expectations for this big match were more than that because it lacked excitement for me personally when watching it.

Benfica did try to apply very good determination here, it's just that their on target is actually not very good but it is indeed much better when compared to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce were completely destroyed by their own conditions, they knew they had lost in terms of the rhythm they had but they did not make more efforts to improve the flow of the game they created and were carried away by the rhythm of Benfica's game in the end.

1 goal is the end but of course leg 2 is obviously still there so Fenerbahce's chance is also still there for now but it is obviously difficult especially for leg 2 Talisca will not be available for Fenerbahce.

I believe Manchester City we do well this season, last season was very bad for them especially the starting of that season however towards the end of last eason they started improving, pep guardiola is still a great coach and I believe they will do more better this season however I don't see them lifting the premier League title or even having a chance to lift the champions League title this season because they are not that inform to defeat clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool the premier League, and close like Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool in the champions League.
Let just watch and see how things play out they may become inform to challenge or complete for this trophies this season but for me I'm not too sure of that, If Man City don't perform well this season then I don't know what else to say is their problem, I can't blame pep guardiola because I know he's a great coach my blame will go to the players.

I am not expecting much from Manchester City this season, because no player was added to them, so their performance might be stable or poorer than the previous season. But for now, let’s give them time to see what they will actually be displaying in the season. For now, I don’t think we should put much expectation on them. Let's not sugarcoat it, though.  Mourinho's criticism of Fenerbahçe's management goes beyond the team's failure to acquire Lunin or Asensio.  He is drawing attention to a more serious problem, the club lack of drive & strategic planning.  Things might have turned out differently if he had had Aziz Yıldırım's support.  Based on his past performance, Yıldırım would not think twice about supporting his coach's vision.  However, it has been a mess under Koç's leadership, with mounting debt, internal conflicts & now Mourinho's annoyances leaking out.  if you are their fanbase then i will say fans deserve better than such kind of circus.

I think that in the match between Benfica and Fenerbahce, it's not worth talking about any surprises, because both of these teams are even more worthy of playing in the Champions League group stage than Almaty and Pafos. Fenerbahce is not in a good rhythm. Even we saw that the team could not play as well as expected in the home match. Their performance in the away match was even puny. We saw that Fenerbahce players had only 6 shots in the entire match. Not one of them was on target. You cannot expect to win the match with such a bad performance. As a result , Fenerbahce lost 1 -0. And failed to qualify for the Champions league. After Mourinho took charge of this team, we thought that fenerbahce would improve. But Fenerbahce's performance is still very irregular. Even in the Super League platform, the team is not able to play well.

Honestly, Manchester City performances were really poor, especially in the Champions League competition. Based on how Manchester City performed last season, I did not expect such poor performances from them, because the squad is full of quality players.However, many people said it was because Rodri was not in the squad due to injury, and that his absence caused Manchester City's performance to drop to that level. But for a team like Manchester City, I don't expect them to depend on just one player they should have a great replacement for Rodri.

But for me, I don't think that's the main reason their performance dropped so low. I just believe it was their time to fall off a bit. Possibly, Rodri may have contributed to that drop in form, but not fully not just because of Rodri.As for this season, let's just see what will happen. But honestly, I am not yet satisfied with their performances. I watched two of their matches, and I was not really convinced with the way they played as a team that’s in serious form.

They could have secured a multi-goal advantage already in the first half, but Fenerbahce were just lucky that those goals were disallowed, either because of offside or a foul. But in the end, it still didn’t help them, because Benfica managed to win. And Fenerbahce couldn’t score an away goal. But I had said before that Benfica have a very strong defense, and it would be even harder for Fenerbahce to score away. They needed to do it at home.
