It was an amazing game to see Mourinho side lose to Benfica side. If you check through the statistics of their match, you'll understand that losing wasn't necessary at all. It was a very tough game for both parties, but Benfica hit the net unexpectedly in the first 35 minutes of the game and held on to it till the very last minute of the match. Benfica also managed to complete the match without conceding a single goal.

Mourinho was looking very furious with the players because they didn't perform in the game as expected. I really don't want to blame the players nor the coach; It was a 50/50 game and Benfica was so lucky to get away with it.

I mean I have not seen one subredit of the teams that is happy with the way draw happened, nobody feels like they got an easy pick, they all feel like they ended up getting bad results, so it's true that they are not going to be happy. Galatasaray fans here are saying it's hard, but I saw even PSG and Real Madrid and Arsenal fans end up being bad, so it is not really that easy at all, it's really not an easy thing to do.

I think Galatasaray can complete league phase by collecting 10 points.

- The Bodø/Glimt and USG matches must be finished by getting 6 points above all else.

I have some level of trust in Chelsea that they’re going to deliver better this season than they did last season. Them coming to the champions league will be to win the trophy and that will be one of their top priority target this season to go for. They’re currently the defending champions of the club world cup which signifies that they’re the one restraining the title of the best club in the world now, and they’ll want to prove it again that they’re worthy of the trophy.

This years champions league will still be as interested as the precious ones, we will still see a lot of surprising instances like we experienced last season but it only gets more interesting for us to watch. Chelsea’s draws for the champions league are not that bad, I expect a swift qualification from the champions league group stage to the knockout phase. In the knockout phase is where I think Chelsea will feel more pressure to qualify but I’m sure they will.

It is not possible to put any of these teams ahead to win. Don't write off any club in the Uefa Champions League they didn't get to the competition at random and while you can not see a quality squad in them it does not mean they can't completely make an upset. I was not happy with the early Manchester city and Real Madrid fixtures too, their meeting should have been a bit later than this.

I do not understand this draw, I have been looking at it and trying to understand it based on the Champions League new format but it seems that I cannot understand it. I will appreciate if anyone will explain it for me. The other day I was watching the Champions League draw and they didn't conclude that day so how was expecting to see the comprehensive Champions League draw in the photo. Although after this post I will still have to study it and see if I will understand it very well.

Pretty simple thing, all teams go in a league but they don't play all against each other, they are doing only 8 games.
Each team is put in one the four pots based on their coefficient  (ranking) then their opponents are decided based on that , 2 opponents from each group.

So simply put, they will play against two of each team ranking 1- to 9, 10 to 18, 19 to 27, 28 to 36.



Of course, if you're unlucky...
You can end up playing against Arsenal and Juventus rather than Frankfurt and Brugge!

Do you expect the club that won the Club World Cup not to be on the list of five teams likely to win the Champions League this season? What made them win the Club World Cup shows that Chelsea has a better squad to compete with any team in the world. If that is the case, Chelsea should even be in the top 3 of the favorite teams to win the Champions League.

Flexing the whole thing was the idea, I mean it wouldn't have been fun for some teams to get easy picks and other having it differently, I mean it's a competition that the entire world is looking up base on the thrilling moment that it brings so its best for the whole contest to be fun and full of surprises as no should be able to get an easy way out.
