I couldn't help but laugh at the quote that even in a final match, one can underestimate the opponent!!! Especially when the tournament is as big as the Champions League.

When someone says that Inter Milan underestimated PSG in the final, I think they are either unaware of the momentum of the match or they don't know it. PSG took the momentum in their favor from the beginning and they were able to keep the momentum in their favor until the end. Inter Milan didn't have time to find the momentum of the match and they couldn't build any competition in the match. Assuming is Arsenal that meet PSG in that final stage, I don't think would have ended up in that 4 goals, because they know how to play them to take advantage of their defenders to score goals to lift the trophy but PSG took the advantage of inter weak defenders to secured the trophy from the UEFA champion league last season.

No one can tell the secrets behind why Osimhen didn't come to any of these clubs that you mentioned above. I could remember vividly, that Maresca was taking advantage of Osimhen situation and wanted to pay him lower than expected which was why Osimhen turned them down. That aside I think their issues goes beyond getting new players they are underperforming and in a worse state than Manchester City facing similar issues although while new signings have help them they are still not in their best or usual performance.

You are right because there is no specific fix for such problems. The way inter milan squad is currently structured, they would have to do a complete overhaul of their current squad. That alone would take years before a new project like that will start yielding any result.

Manchester city have that problem because over the years, they have lost several key players that played crucial roles in their achievements in recent years.

Good things take time to build. Imo, Inter needs to start the rebuilding process sooner rather than later.

Manchester City won their first Champions League title with great difficulty because Inter played so well, but PSG won their first title with ease because Inter played beyond expectations. I don't think PSG had a major problem beating Inter in last season's final; that was reflected in how PSG finished the match. We have to admit that Inter played well in the knockout stages, but they were too weak in the final. It was certainly disappointing and understandably so, as many thought Inter would win the title.

I do not have high hopes for Inter milan this season. Although they have not made any major changes to the squad. The squad is still strong enough for Inter Milan. But their overall performance seems shaky to  me. They got a nice win in the first match of Serie  a. Inter Milan lost against udinese in the second match. Whatever , I believe that Inter Milan still has the ability to make a comeback. There is still enough  time to  strengthen their overall performance. Chelsea has done so much during the transfer window by recruiting good players to improve their squad, but with what i watched in their last game, I think the still needs to put in so much concentration in the midfield. They didn't play well in the first match against Crystal palace and that makes their overall performance still a matter of doubt.

I think Inter's problems started after they ousted Barcelona, actually they didn't expect they could go past Barcelona but they did it anyway, but with PSG it became difficult because they didn't understand PSG and couldn't come up with any plan whatsoever to approach the game because they thought PSG wasn't as complicated as Barcelona and that was why PSG took advantage of their weaknesses even as they seemed clueless on the pitch playing like a youth team.
