Before the match began, PSG, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Man City were indeed more favored, and it proved true as they managed to secure full points. Meanwhile, in my opinion, Liverpool defensive line is more concerning than Barcelona, as they have conceded 6 goals in their last five matches, while Barcelona have only conceded 4.

Nice win for Manchester City as they won comfortable at home 2:0 is a good way to start their campaign in this year's competition the early red card that Napoli had really affected their performance but as for city two goals with all three points is a good way to kickstart their champions League campaign. Barcelona too also got an important away victory as they won 1:2 against Newcastle.

A good start like that usually only serves to boost morale in future matches, as an early win can be overtaken by other teams if they fail to win consistently in their subsequent matches in the Champions League. While holding onto 24th place is actually sufficient to secure qualification for the round of 16, it's far more dangerous for a team, so fighting from the start is still a wise move for any team. And in the upcoming matches, I also want to see a revival from Chelsea, Napoli, and Newcastle to make the competition in this league even more exciting.

Newcastle have performed badly in this match from the beginning, because if they could have performed and attacked the way they did in the last minute from the beginning, they would have definitely had the ability to win in the end. Amongst the five I do not consider PSG as one of them who actually can really win, PSG is not doing bad but I still do not have that conviction as much as I do with Manchester City who even has some slight issues, against Napoli they did not fi d it really easy but they still xis not just let it go against them because they feel it is a difficult one. Actually both teams did their best but Manchester City was the better side, and they won. Real Madrid was not left out of the victory and so does Liverpool so I still agree that these ones are gradually going  to get a good chance at the champions league this season.

Napoli were being overhyped today, after all the expectations placed on them to at least hold the game to a draw they lost 2 nil...the odds given to them made it suspicious though but a lot of people that it would be one of those games were the team with that big odd would e s up winning...This is why odd setting by the bookmakers can be very confusing...congrats to city though I hope they keep it up

From what Manchester City played Napoli tonight,I don't think the Italian giant will ever forget it in a hurry. Napoli only had a single shot in the entire game while Manchester City had 23 shots and 805 passes in the entire game. Napoli couldn't stand a chance against Manchester City, they were outplayed. Napoli suffered a red card and were one man down in the first half, Di Lorenzo exit from the pitch weaken the defense of Napoli and Manchester City capitalize on Napoli weakness. Napoli were lucky that Manchester City weren't in their best form and if not for the brilliant saves from Napoli goalkeeper vanja milinkovic - savic, Manchester City would have succeeded in netting more goals in the game.

It was certain that this would happen when Di Lorenzo received a red card in the 20th minute. They won the battle, not the war. I agree that Vanja defended excellently, and I also think that if they hadn’t received the red card, they would have played more freely and openly. It’s good for Napoli that they didn’t concede more goals. But i think Napoli will easily advance to the next stage.

Be that as it may, I wouldn’t call that a lucky game for sure. I was surprised when I saw that bookmarkers gave Barcelona 2.7 odds to beat Newcastle United. Even with Newcastle playing from home, I didn’t think this reasonable for bookmarkers so I checked the line up and saw that, Yamal wasn’t in the line up, not even as a substitute player and perhaps that could have been a reason for that odd but then again, as much as Yamal is important to the squad, the game doesn’t stick about him, it does revolve around certain players too, like Pedri, Rashford hasn’t been bad either since he joined. Aside the teams listed other teams won against their opponent, we should expect something new forgetting the start match played this week because from my observation other teams might likely kick out strong teams especially when two tough teams go head to head and viewing the fixtures this season Champions league is not an easy one besides we expected a good start from big teams and they almost failed at the start almost all the teams listed got their win by luck.
I also think the red card given to G. Di Lorenzo disqualified Napoli from competing as usual, I knew Mancity will defeat Napoli but, wasn’t sure basically they’ve not been in their best performance so far.

I'm not sure if we can call Barcelona lucky in this match because of the fact that they took a 2 goal lead in the second half through 2 Rashford goals while Newcastle scored 1 goal in the 90 minute well, that means Barcelona is in a safe position. Based on the attack Newcastle is not better than Barcelona so actually Barcelona could scored more goals. By the way, this win is quite important for Barcelona because their next opponent is PSG which means there is a potential for losing points or draw.

Yeah that's true and this bother me to some extent because I literally vouched on Barcelona to win that game and seeing how the bookies continually increased their odd was something to check and take note of. But i guess even the bookies do get their speculation and analysis all wrong because Barcelona turned up tonight and played very well thanks to Rashford for finishing the job and securing the win.

I don’t know the psychology behind that “not favouring Barcelona” but I just think it was a way to deceive bookers, in what way or time did you think this Newcastle will Defeat this Barcelona side. Though looking at the match they really have a good account of themselves they were unlucky for a lot of chances they missed but Barcelona still showed they are superior, Rashford should have had a Hattrick but it was a good night for him finally, his first goal for Barcelona and scoring two on a Champions League….. That’s the Marcus Rashford Show with a signature shot, that second goal was superb.

Eddie Howe did his best but let's not forget that he was against one of the very competitive La Liga side in the UEFA Champions League. What are the odds of watching Newcastle United having a thriving victory against almighty Barcelona? It just didn't happen because Barcelona was thr better club tonight at the St James Park.

Marcus Rashford stole the show as he score a brace to be awarded MOTM with his brilliant performance. Nobody understand playing a side like the EPL team, the Magpies than Marcus Rashford. He was ready to represent Barcelona and since the absence of Lamine Yamal, that made him quite responsive and active to prove himself.

I am not surprised at all by Napoli's defeat. I had bet on City winning this match. Although Manchester city's performance is a bit erratic. Even then, I do not want to consider napoli as strong on the Champions league platform.

Napoli's attack has been weak  since last season. Napoli has not taken any necessary steps to strengthen the attack this season. Also , Lukaku is out of the squad due to  injury. In such a  situation, it is very difficult for them to win against City.

Manchester city played well enough. Still, they had to fight hard to score. Despite having 17 shots in the first half , Manchester City could not score a single goal. But in the second half, Manchester City won the match 2-0 due to goals from DOku and Haaland.

Newcastle being quite strong is what I wouldn’t agree much on, maybe that was last season but, they are not so strong this season. Since Isak left the team, Newcastle hasn’t been playing much like a team. They don’t have that attacking pressure where they could deliver the ball and have Isak finish it. It’s being Gordon at this time and maybe some playtime for Murphy but, Gordon is finding it difficult fitting in his role and Murphy is just an average striker.

I really liked the way Manchester City spread their dominance throughout the match. Manchester City dominated the whole match and Napoli didn't have the ball. The match wasn't very competitive. I thought it would be very competitive but it wasn't. I'm really surprised that Napoli can do anything like that because Napoli only took one shot in the whole match. No matter how bad a team plays, they can still attack and the opponent can block their attacks to some extent. But the way Napoli played is very unimaginable.

When I was a bit doubtful about Barcelona due to Yamal's absence, the 1-2 victory was quite good. The player you doubted yesterday turned out to be Barcelona's savior. Rashford scored 2 goals and his performance was indeed very impressive. Rashford displayed an outstanding performance in the Newcastle vs Barcelona match. He even became the best player in tonight's match, and I agree.

Although playing away, Barcelona could dominate ball possession. Barcelona even created more chances. It seems that the departure of Newcastle striker Isak made it a bit difficult for them. Some chances for Newcastle did not result in goals, which serves as a warning for them to improve their finishing in front of the opponent's goal.

After Di Lorenzo sent to the bench, Conte completely change the strategy, that's why he replace De Bruyne with Olivera. They're playing with 5 defenders, 3 midfielders and one striker strategy, they only want the match to end in draw. So it's not surprising with the stats that Napoli only shot one time.

When a weaker team forced to play with 10 players, we shouldn't expect a big thing.

If we're speaking logically, this certainly doesn't make sense. Last season's Serie A champions played helplessly against Manchester City. I realize Manchester City are strong, but that doesn't mean they're unbreakable. And with only one shot on target, I don't think this makes sense.

However, it's possible that Napoli played defensively without attacking, and losing one player also resulted in a sluggish second half on the right side of defense. Lorenzo's loss could be a factor, but if you think about it, losing one player can still ruin their game plan.

Or does the Napoli coach not have a strategy for playing with 10 men if someone is sent off?
