Last night games actually went as expected by me except for Real Madrid like I don't just get it how can they lost that kind of game that almost every one was counting on them like till this very moment I still can't figure it out what exactly happened it was really embarrassing,

It’s surprising how Benfica gave Real Madrid difficult moments in the match. I was expecting a win from Real Madrid in the match, but they disappointed me in the match, they played poorly and most people never expected that kind of performance from them in the match. It’s embarrassing that Real Madrid will be playing in the play off, most people that placed bet on Real Madrid to get a win in the match but they disappointed people in the match. Benfica played incredibly well in the match, and they were able to qualify for the round of 16 which is really a nice one for them.

I can’t actually said this is a sign of Real Madrid loosing their performance, because if it’s then seriously they need to do something about it. Because yesterday after all the expectations, Real Madrid disappointed their fans. the game was an important game for them to win, but don’t really know why they allowed such to happen.

However, that's football anything can happen even in die minutes which is what we saw yesterday, I hope Real Madrid will continue doing well as before.

They were too frustrated because their coach was Arbeloa and to be honest Arbeloa know nothing except aggregation, foul, bad tempo etc.....

Although, I’m not quite familiar with his game as a manager so I can’t really tell but you might still be right, yet it’s not the first time they, Realmadrid get so aggressive on pitch whenever they are losing and important game. Possible opponents to face off in this season's champions league play off and the winners will be able to qualify for the rounds of 16, extra two game for these teams that finished outside the top 8. Extra games means more tiredness for them, this is a punishment for finishing out the top 8 but last season PSG who took part in the play offs were the winners of the competition and this season they find themselves in the same fate, can they actually do a repeat of what happened last season even though it will be difficult to replicate. Real Madrid will either face Bodo/Glimt or Benfica again in their own fixture and I hope they get Benfica so Benfica can knock them out. PSG will get either Monaco or Qarabag. I remember last season in the rounds of 16, PSG were also drawn against a League One team. If they draw another League One team again, will it be a sign that PSG will win the champions league again?

Do you seriously think Benfica can knock out Real Madrid in a two-legged tie? I would rate this as a 5% probability. Interestingly, if Real Madrid wins, there's a 50% chance they'll face City. For the fifth time in a row (if you only count the playoffs)? I understand that practically the same teams play in the playoffs all the time, but if this happens again, it will be tiring. It's like rewatching the same TV series every year. Incidentally, it looks like Arsenal and Bayern could also meet in the Round of 16. An interesting matchup, but it would be disappointing at such an early stage.

I'm not seriously thinking about it I'm only counting on it, Thai very Real Madrid has been inconsistent and incompetent when it matters most, I'm sure you too believed they were going to win Benfica before the game started, they scored first and somehow still lost, I really don't think you expected that but it happened anyways. We all expected a win from real Madrid but we forgot how formidable Benfica actually is, this isn't a small team, they are outstanding and they have been the best in their league for a long time until they lost form. if there’s one thing they are know for it's scoring goals, they are good in attacking and scoring, real Madrid on the other hand have serious issues with their defence at the moment, thay need to fix that.

The team is gradually becoming a sole man scoring team with Mbappe apparently doing it all for Real Madrid, he’s first headed goal was so unexpected because, he ran out of no where and suddenly, he was in a position to head it in.
Benfica soon got their chance to an equalizer, later took the lead with a penalty and got a 3rd goal with yet another swift ball shot to the far corner. That was when, I knew it was over for Real Madrid because, Mourinho could be very defensive in his strategy although, he was out for Real Madrid yesterday and the goalkeeper even got a goal.

Benfica knows what they need in this match and that was why they played to their best in order to get a smooth win to make it to the next round of the competition. I don't really blame Real Madrid in this match, they played to their best but it wasn't good enough to defeat Benfica in this game. The game is a very important one for both teams but unfortunately the better and more luckier team got the win and advanced to the next round of the competition.

Real Madrid is still a very big contender for the title because I don't see them out from this round. Unless they're eliminated from the competition from this stage, I still see them as a potential winner of the champions league.
The round of 16 will be more thrilling than this one, so I'm expecting a tougher display of game from other teams that makes it to the next round of the competition. The knockout phase is a very different kind of performance we usually see and this time around, it won't also be short of expectations as usual.

Their biggest challenge right now is that they rely on the star players, there are no efforts made by the players collectively, everyone just hopes that once mbappe gets a hold of the ball he would make an attempt to score. A team that has star players would gradually fall if they don't improve. Real Madrid really needs to do better next seaso, this season was a huge mess for them, hopefully next season would be better.

Real Madrid losing is a result of poor planning, I wonder what happened sincerely they’re losing their value and a chance to win the title. If they continue with this pattern it’s difficult trusting their capacity when mentioned alongside other tough club, when the title race started I trusted the club not minding their poor performance last season obviously this time things might get worst even more, no one expected Real Madrid to lose the game as usual let’s watch out other club because the rest of the team performed well and maintained a good spot.

Right now I'm so ashamed of Real Madrid and it is a condition I fell they've inflicted themselves, removing Xabi Alonso to be replaced by Arbeloa was the most embarrassing decision the team took in my own assessment this year, I don't understand the reason why you will remove a creative chap like Xabi Alonso who led the Bayer Leverkusen to their promised land in the previous seasons of theres. I have always seen Real Madrid's future to be bright under the Xabi Alonso tenure before I saw they at the management level were not ready to do right thing.

I can't believe how Real Madrid could lose this match, especially since Benfica isn't a team that often pulls off surprises like this. Their chances of winning were lower than Real Madrid's. In other words, it was the players' performance that dropped or failed to reach their full potential. This defeat is truly embarrassing, the fans are deeply disappointed with the result. Honestly, i personally don't expect much more from Real Madrid, especially after the coaching change, which has made everything seem even more chaotic.

Mourinho was once at Madrid and he played a team that he has a very bit of knowledge about Madrid's tactical system and despite changes of coaches and players over the years he left the team. Secondly, He Played against a coach that he's more experienced than and couple with the fact that Real Madrid over the past two seasons has not been in their best of form, this is why Befinca were able to pull such performance against Real Madrid.

It is a great record for the league phase, but it will only be of value if they reach the final. Otherwise nobody will be talking about it rather sooner than later. The most important games they won were against Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid and I think those are the games that have the strongest predictive value. When it was still the old format, it could happen that there was one huge team and then three weak teams and it didn't mean much to win all games in the group stage, but I think now it is noteworthy.

Bayern, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool have to be the luckiest teams. They most probably get the easiest fixtures at the round of 16. So i think they can easily go to the quarter finals. So lemme predict their future fixtures based on my crystal ball.

It is a great record for the league phase, but it will only be of value if they reach the final. Otherwise nobody will be talking about it rather sooner than later. The most important games they won were against Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid and I think those are the games that have the strongest predictive value. When it was still the old format, it could happen that there was one huge team and then three weak teams and it didn't mean much to win all games in the group stage, but I think now it is noteworthy.

Arsenal are not only undefeated, but they always win every game they play,  and I think this is indeed a remarkable achievement. However, the story is not  over yet, because after this, not only will their performance be tested, but so will their mentality. I am sure  Arsenal has big ambitions this season because it has been so long since they won a trophy, but it will certainly not be easy, as the other big teams will be trying their hardest.

We all know that what always causes Arsenal to fail is their loss of consistency,  and they seem to face the same story every season. So, I'm quite curious to see whether  Arsenal will have another strategy to maintain their consistency towards the end of the season.

Achieving a full victory is indeed a matter of pride because not all clubs can do it in the first round phase but leading the first position for now does not guarantee Arsenal can win the UCL title so they should not be too proud first because the journey is still long there are still many obstacles that Arsenal will face, I remember last season when Liverpool qualified for the round of 16 by leading the first position but Liverpool could not last longer and lost in the round of 16 so leading the standings must be proven by their performance in the next rounds.
