The second half has just begun, and with the momentum Newcastle is playing with tonight, especially that of Anthony Gordon, I have no doubt that more goals will be added to the already existing 5 goals, while Qarabag FK also scores too, because they seem to be playing a little bit well this second half, which means this game is likely to end goal-goal. But, in a nutshell this game is likely to end with a total of 7 to 8 gaols in total. however, lets watch out to see how it ends.

This match was impressive, but how many goals they scored was truly incredible, in short a real goleada, the likes of which we haven't seen for a long time, i think this is an excellent opportunity for Newcastle to understand that they are actually a very good team that can do very well, and that they should take this as an impetus to get back into form.

I like how Newcastle treated Qarabag FK, at least with that massive goal that will help them concentrate on other things because I don't think the second leg will be a problem to them, Newcastle will be hosting the second leg and already they have six goals, it will be very difficult for Qarabag FK to even score what Newcastle play in n their home. The only advice I can give Qarabag FK is to focus on the other leagues because i don't see any hope for them to be able to qualify for the next round.

The first half of this match was very exciting with both teams attacking each other intensely to create chances and even capitalize on them well. Juventus conceded a goal early on then soon after they managed to equalize and even took the lead in the first half with another goal. The first half was still exciting to watch. But in the second half Galatasaray managed to create great opportunities to score many goals. And Juventus' position which was far behind in terms of goal margin made them put more pressure on Galatasaray with a slightly rough style of play. It seemed that Juventus really lost confidence in the second half, where they made many mistakes in their defense. However Galatasaray's performance in this match was impressive by securing a victory as they fought hard against a big team like Juventus. I personally believe that many people did not expect this result. And I think this is a nightmare for Spalletti considering that this match was his reunion with Osimhen. I'm not sure Juventus can bounce back in the second leg.

I'm not sure Juventus can bounce back in the second leg either; they've conceded too many goals, so i don't see it going well. The reunion between the coach and his protégé is nice, but not good because his protégé has sunk his team; i don't think Spalletti is particularly happy.

I didn't see that result coming because I went over their CL history this season and they had good results in a few games. They beat Benfica in Lisbon, beat Copenhagen, a draw against Chelsea and beat Frankfurt.

The games against Benfica and Chelsea convinced that this is not going to be a scoring festival for Newcastle and considering how much there was at stake, I thought this fight is going to be intense.

Just a week ago, there was a post about how Spain is going to lose a team spot in CL because others are catching up, one of them being Italy...
So who is catching up:
- Napoli out with 8 points
- Juventus beaten 5-2 by Galata
- Inter beaten by Bodo 3-1

Just out of pure curiosity, is Inter going to play the same book as Manchester and refund the tickets of their fans?

I cannot see Juventus finding a way out of this one, we are talking about beating them with three goal margin and that will probably to be easy.

I think there are some players who will also miss the game as well, this looks like Juventus just can say goodbye to UCL and focus on the league because it requires their full effort to be able to reach fourth place and be in UCL next season, so if they lose and still manage 4th in the league that would not be too bad for them. There is really not that much of a chance for them to continue in UCL after such a defeat.

Juventus suffered a heavy defeat that was not expected. If Galatasaray fans had been asked before the match whether they wanted it to end in a draw, they would definitely have said yes, but they were very happy after the match. Although Juventus chances are slim because it's a two legged tie, they are still in it. A three goal deficit is not insurmountable, but Juventus will be missing players against Galatasaray. Spalletti is at the center of criticism, but he still has one more chance to give everyone the answer they need. He can take responsibility in the rematch and make a comeback, and I still think they have a chance.

The two minutes of added time were a stroke of luck for Juventus. If there had been more added time, Juventus might have conceded another goal. Galatasaray played like Champions League winners in the second half of this match. Juventus' defense was torn apart. Galatasaray goes into the return match in Italy with a huge advantage, but they absolutely must play with the best possible defense, otherwise the dangerous Italian team could win the match convincingly. Galatasaray's weakest area is their defense, so the defenders will have an extra responsibility in the Italian match.

I don't know why they underestimated the match, they went very weak against a team that was so hungry for success, now they find themselves having to perform a feat in Turin, and i see it as very difficult, these are mistakes that you then pay dearly for, the other teams know this and in fact they tried to score as many goals as possible at home

It's over for Qarabag. They're way thousand miles behind newcastle. They went down 4-0 even before the half time. So i see their journey in UCL is already ended here. This like when i used to play a football playstation game against easy difficulty team. I won't be surprised if Newcasatle scored 6 - 8 goals tonight.

So 2nd leg is absolutely meaningless for both of sides. I think it's time for them to push the surrender button. At this point, Newcastle can start their U-18 team to play in the 2nd half. Bye Qarabag. 

It was so easy for Newcastle to score until the 35th minute haha Qarabag did not bear to attack even they did not have a shot on target --- this is already a bad sign for Qarabag.

I don't know what the result will be in the second half, will Qarabag be able to score at least one goal later? The BTTS bet is expected to win but given the poor play I'm skeptical Qarabag can do it.

I know that Qarabag where no match for Newcastle but I didn't expect that they'll score such number of goals, I don't think Qarabag would be able to retaliate in the second leg, they managed to score one but can score up to five when Newcastle would play at home so it would be fair to say that they'll be out of the tournament soon.

 I wonder why nobody is talking about how a small club like Bodo/Glimt destroyed Inter Milan yesterday, it's so surprising, Bodo has been very impressive this season in the Champions League they've managed to beat about three big European teams including Inter Milan they beat 3-1 yesterday.

Italian clubs are now considered weak and unreliable in the UCL competition 3 Italian representative clubs namely Atalanta, Juventus and Inter. This will only make the image of the Italian League fall further behind in terms of quality.
Inter showed a game that looked easy to break down for Bodø players. There is still leg 2 but I think the chances of turning things around are not easy, if the result is still lost in leg 2 they deserve it.

Weak and undetermined teams will be eliminated.

Inter Milan underestimate Bodoe Glimt and Bodoe shock them, many people thought Inter Milan is going to beat Bodoe because they are not playing in the top league but i started to respect them since they beat Manchester City in their home, when Bodoe/Glimt played at home they are very strong, they played like prime Barcelona or Real Madrid when they played at home that is why i don’t use to surprise when they defeated any strong team, Manchester City did the same thing by not starting some of their big players and Bodoe/Glimt beat them and even get Rodri sent off.

I've never seen Qarabag play so badly. They were a little better in the second half, but they played very poorly in the first half, and Newcastle went 0-5 up in the first half, but the Qarabag goalkeeper made several saves. Qarabag brought the score to 1-5 at the start of the second half, but couldn't find another goal in the following minutes. Newcastle scored another goal in the second half and won the match by a large margin of 1-6. It's fair to say Newcastle have advanced to the next round. Gordon scored 4 goals in the match, 2 of which were from penalties.

It was a sad night for Qarabag, and I can say their European adventure this year is over.

Qarabag thought Newcastle is a Chelsea football club but Newcastle shows them that they are not in Champions League to joke with any opponent, i expect more than 3 goals in the match but i don’t expect Newcastle to disgrace Qarabag like that, there is no hope for Qarabag even if they played the second leg, they are going to Newcastle home for second leg and we know that there is nothing like come back in the game, Newcastle is not going to be looking at them in the game and score 5 goals.

Anthony Gordon was the man of the match night yesterday. 4 goals against Qarabag, he should have score more though if he had converted the other chances. Gordon was remarkable yesterday for Newcastle. Certainly, he has a good record that made history for him yesterday, something he will never forget in his entire career.

Newcastle missed many chances, I saw how those players who haven't scored a champions league goal before wanted to score yesterday. It caused small drama in the pitch, in all they wont that is what really matters.

In football every player wants to have something to be proud about against his opponent and it happened that in this UCL meeting between Benfica and Real Madrid, the home side couldn't execute their expectations as a home team and got frustrated by the class of the visiting team Real Madrid.

Remember before this play off, benfica had there way when they beat Realmadrid 4:2, Madrid did everything they could but all was trial in futility, yesterday match Realmadrid got a wining in benfica home that was just a goal, that is an advantage of course I know that but I can not conclude yet, we know how inconsistent Realmadrid has been in the recent times, I do not think we can give them all of it, they will be hosting Benfica in the second leg, this is football, Benfica is not doing very bad which we know, unless Realmadrid will tighten up very well, make sure they get early goal in that match, I do not know how you will view this, personally I still see Benfica as a threat until Realmadrid say they are not with action.

I would not argue about the unpredictability of football games and how results can be rewritten differently in the second leg of a game from what it was in the first leg. I absolutely wasn't undermining neither writing off Benfica, because this season they have made outstanding  track record. The second leg at Santiago Bernabeu may not be that simple for Real Madrid to win but they have the home advantage and that's an upper hand to start with that even a draw still qualifies them.

Atalanta and Juventus look like Napoli they're completely out of the tournament. Inter's chances of progressing to the next round are estimated at 1.80, which is just under 50%. Which is probably not a bad thing, after all, if Inter can’t win at home against Bodø-Glimt by two goals, then why should they continue to participate in the Champions League?
I'm looking forward to the next round, will there really be a complete elimination of Italian teams?

Monaco were a bit weaker than psg . But any team can be terrible in a home match. And the players were very confident. So they were able to keep fighting until the end. Especially the first half was very competitive. Monaco took a 2- 0 lead after just 18 minutes of the match. But psg  equalized the match before the end of the first half. Vitinha missed a  penalty. Anyway, the match would have been more exciting if golovin had not received a red card in the second half. Golovin's red card slowed down monaco's performance a bit in the second half.

One less player slows down the game considerably, and players with one less person on the field struggle more in making moves.
They really could have done it, but if PSG finds a crack, a hole becomes a chasm and they took advantage and managed to take home the result.
Underestimating PSG, who can bite at any moment, is a mistake that should never be made.

Frankly, I was quite surprised to know that Juventus would be crushed in the hands of Galatasaray. I thought the match would be tight and most likely end in a draw, but it turns out I was completely wrong. Juventus actually  played quite well in the first half and even took a 1-2 lead,  but unfortunately, they let their guard down when the second half began and things got even worse when they received a red card, causing them to fall further behind in the remaining minutes of the match. Their chances are not completely gone yet,  but it may be very hard. The only advantage Juventus has in the second leg is that they will be playing at home,  but if Galatasaray chooses to play defensive football, Juventus may struggle to score more than 3 goals.

I am not a bit surprised by this because football has really evolved a lot, but the Italian teams have fails to follow suits.
When last did an Italian team spend the least 70 million euros on a single player?
As we all know, money is what drives quality players into a team currently, and almost all the Italian teams are not spending enough, if you want to compare them with the English, Spanish and German top teams. So all these has made the Italian league struggle to retain and buy  quality players because almost all of them are weak economically, but the only team that I was actually surprised by their losing was inter milan, because losing 3-1 was too emphatic for a lower level side like bodo/glimt, even though bodo has been in fine form in Europe.

Atleast you have agreed to somethings I said, meaning that you understand what foot can bring, am aware of home advantage in football, but if you take some recent football events into consideration, you will agree with me that those does not count much again, of course we have seen team defeated in their home even when we thought earlier that they will have their way easily in their home, I'm not taking Realmadrid advantage in this upcoming match for granted but with I have seen in football, Benfica can also give them headache unless Realmadrid will be displaying something different on that day.

This first round was a complete disaster for the Italian teams: all three Italian teams competing in the Champions League lost their first match and now all three will have to win by a significant margin.
Juventus need to win at least 4-0 in Turin to progress to the last 16.
Atalanta need to win 3-0 in Bergamo.
Inter need to win 3-0 in Milan.

It is very likely that there will be no Italian teams in the last 16, which would be a real disaster for Serie A.
