I don't want to talk about the other Italian teams, but I am only concentrating on Inter Milan,  because I was very disappointed with the outcome of the match yesterday.  I was so confident that Inter Milan will win against Bodo yesterday,  so definitely i lost some money. I really don't think they will go far in the Champions League this season with the performance they put up yesterday. Anyways kudos to Bodo on winning the match yesterday,  I think they have the quality to surprice the so called big teams, because this is not the first time they are doing it in the Champions League this season.

All Italians clubs faced humiliating defeats in first leg of Champions league games, even have now home games but it's never been easy for them to have respective results which allow them to have chance of going into next round for Juventus win by 3–0 and Inter Milan and Atlanta have 2 goals deficit.

Quality is declined while things are looking for changes if they want to have something special. Inter Milan is the biggest surprise because mostly were expecting that they will be winning this game and have good advantage for second leg, but their performance was not as expected. Newcastle United's winning was also big surprise as they ruined Qarabağ at their own backyard.

Gordon scored four goals. First half. In Azerbaijan. That's a story people will not forget.

And to go in everybody was doing the "longest away trip ever, tough environment, be careful" routine. Newcastle didn't care. Pressed straight away, scored within three minutes, never let up. Their manager Howe said it himself: "that's as good as we've played in a long time".

Now compare that mentality to Italian clubs going on these difficult aways. There's a comfort there. Like they half expect things to sort themselves out because of the badge. And these smaller clubs (Bodo, Galatasaray) they're desperate in a totally different way. Nearly tactical is that desperation.

If all three of the Italian clubs go out this week. That's a moment. Serie A has to literally look themselves in the mirror, not in silence, loudly. These aren't freak results any more.

Something is wrong in the structure. I don't know just what but something is.

Atalanta and Juventus look like Napoli they're completely out of the tournament. Inter's chances of progressing to the next round are estimated at 1.80, which is just under 50%. Which is probably not a bad thing, after all, if Inter can?t win at home against Bodø-Glimt by two goals, then why should they continue to participate in the Champions League?

They are two teams that are practically out of the tournament. i don't understand what's so positive about the people who gave the odds. i don't think the situation is very favorable for Inter and that's more or less the difference. i understand that the level of the team isn't the same, but they conceded 3 goals and that's a lot.

Don't really know what went wrong with Italian teams in the Champions League.  All of them seem to be playing below expectations. Concluding that Juventus and Atalanta are out of the competition might not be totally correct. In the games of sports games, anything can happen. They could come up with some extraordinary performance and level up the goals they have conceded. It is not over until the second leg games are concluded.

Actually, Galatasaray played better in the first half as well, but Juventus created two chances and converted them into goals, leaving Galatasaray trailing 1-2 at halftime. However, a completely different Galatasaray emerged in the second half. They capped their magnificent performance with a second goal, and after their opponent was reduced to ten men, they increased their pressure and secured the best possible result. Scoring five goals against a team like Juventus is a magnificent achievement. Today, everyone in Turkey is proud of Galatasaray.

They played much better than Juventus, who in my opinion are out of the Champions League, given that they really sucked. They're not fit to play; they need to strengthen their squad first, otherwise all the strategies are useless.

It wasn't a surprise Juventus and Atalanta got beaten. I knew it could happen but I was stunned by Inter's defeat to Bodo/Glimt. I was expecting an Inter win or draw. With the scoreline, they all have a huge mountain to climb. The last time Italian teams failed to qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League was the 2014/15 season. It will be too bad if it happens again. Amongst them, I'm having a lot bit of hope that Inter Milan can make it through.

Juventus I know is the one with Dybala, Chiellini, Buffon, Bonucci, Barzagli, Cuadrado, and so on. i look at the current squad now and i can't name a single special player. it’s the same for the others too. even though people say teams are doing tactical squad planning to avoid risking their league position, there is a clear drop in overall quality.

Considering that all Italian teams have lost their matches and their opponents weren't particularly tough, we also have to consider the possibility that all three Italian teams might not make it through the playoffs. Yes, in many cases i can't understand why, but there are teams that manage to have a better performance even with one man less, i really don't understand this, certainly there would have been favorable situations to exploit, you must never underestimate the opposing team even if they are last in the championship, because then you risk making mistakes that cost you dearly.

Isn't that the biggest problem in football? Underestimating your opponent can have very serious consequences. In a tournament like the Champions League, you shouldn't underestimate any match. You have to remember that every team that has reached this stage has gone through very tough rounds. Every team has the potential to beat each other, especially the playoff matches showed that.

This first round was a complete disaster for the Italian teams: all three Italian teams competing in the Champions League lost their first match and now all three will have to win by a significant margin.

Inter suffered a heavy defeat. Although Inter created the most chances throughout the match, they ultimately lost. That's why seeing results like this makes football more enjoyable. Whatever is the benefit of playing at home for Bodo, that is definitely something that no team has done good so far. I know that it's cold, and I know that it's fake grass (whatever that's called) and not real one, and both of these combined makes it very hard for the players and causes them to not play at a good level.

So Bodo players are used to it, and that gives the ma huge advantage, but I seriously did not expected this much. They managed to beat City, Atletico Madrid and Inter back to back, that's huge.

Well, they surprised everyone in the UCL this season. and maybe they could go even further if they manage to maintain their lead in the second leg. And I think they will be able to do that in the second leg as well.

Inter Milan have also fought well, but they still aren't as far ahead as Bodo this time around. but after thinking about it again, it seems that Serie A teams are really struggling to compete in the UCL this season. and it's possible that they could all fail at this stage. and none of them will make it to the round of 16. That rarely happened in previous seasons, but it's happening this season.

I am shocked with this kind of performance from these Serie A teams, they used to be among the top teams in the Champions League due to how competitive their league used to be in the past, but the Serie A league has now becomes farmers league, it has no credibility because the teams are not as serious as they used to be and the rivalry is not more intense as it was before which makes the league less interesting.

However, Inter Milan that started really well competing with Bayern Munich and Arsenal on who to lead the table is now struggling to beat Bodo in the playoff; it’s shameful for them though but I know how good Bodo Glimpt can be even though that should affect Inter Milan because it is a good team.
Let’s see if one of them can scale through to the playoff, or they all get eliminated because they doing look serious.

At first, before the first half, if they told you that Juventus will win the game, you will not deny the point, but in the second half it’s a different narrative, which made them show Juventus that it is not about dominating the first half, can they maintain the performance till the end of the game? That was when we saw 4 goals flying. Although Juventus had a red card in the game, and I don’t think they will be able to do a comeback in the second leg, because 3 goals is not that small.

Furthermore, the game against Qarabag against Newcastle, we all know that Qarabag have already given up, because this is the home game for them and they lost 1–6. It can never be recovered in the second leg, so they should just hug the defeat and try again next season.

So you are saying that with this kind of scoreline, Juventus still stand a chance of making a comeback on this tie? Well I doubt that happening because Juventus themselves are not the kind of teams that are capable of scoring many goals that can actually warrant them to pull such massive come back in the return leg of this tie so it's Juventus should just have it at the back of their mind that they are already out of the competition.

Bodo Glimt deserves to qualify, they have shown they can compete in the champions League, beating top clubs, it's well deserving. I was shocked they humiliated inter Milan by 3 goals to 1, a whole inter Milan was outshined by a small club.

Atalanta sold their hit man Lookman to Atletico Madrid, and it has affected the team performance recently, Dortmund is far ahead of them this season and the lost was predictable. I knew they won't win Dortmund even at their home stadium.

A lot of us are ignoring the result of the game between bodo glimt and inter milan, I still cannot believe that milan lost with such goal difference although bodo is a team that is known to be very formidable and they have a good record of goal scoring but asides from that they are not supposed to be defeated easily. inter milan has issues with their defence and it's been that way since last season.
