Although they really tried last season, even though they got knocked out in the Round of 16 by PSG, they were still top of the table then. However, that was then. Even this season, I am sure that they will still be knocked out by PSG, as their performance is not that good. The Champions League will be very serious this season, and any team that is not ready will definitely be knocked out. It’s just as you mentioned, they will still meet next season, except Liverpool.

My assumption is that if Arne Slot fails in the UCL to take Liverpool to the semifinals, I don’t think the Liverpool management would sack him immediately. He might still be replaced by another coach, but they would likely wait until the season ends. Replacing a manager near the end of the season would be riskier and could create more complicated problems.

BTW, lately I’ve seen that many people are still backing PSG to win, but in my opinion, Liverpool also has a chance to win.

Igor Tudor was indeed fired because he showed absolutely no progress at Tottenham during the little over a month he spent there. in fact, Tottenham only managed to earn 1 point from a total of 5 matches in the Premier League, if I recall correctlyy. so from the very beginning, everyone was actually questioning why they had to bring in Igor Tudor as the interim coach.

As for Arne Slot, he can still be considered a good coach. after all, even though Liverpool has clearly struggled this season, it hasn’t been too bad. In the Champions League, Liverpool still managed to reach the quarterfinals. and even if they lose to PSG, that would actually be quite understandable. So, yeah, his position will remain secure.

Arne Slot is currently under immense pressure especially regarding his future. If they fail to finish in the top four and are eliminated from the Champions League against PSG at the end of the season it's possible his Liverpool career will be over. What's happening with Liverpool this season compared to last season is stark. Last season Klopp inherited a good squad which is what helped him win the Premier League trophy. But this season many players have left and several have come in, but Liverpool performance has been poor. This proves that Arne Slot isn't a good coach he was just lucky in his first season because he inherited a good squad from Klopp.

I'm not sure Liverpool will put up a strong fight against PSG given their current form. They even failed in the Champions League last season after losing to PSG. Furthermore, Liverpool poor form this season will certainly make defeating PSG difficult.

Actually, all the fixtures are difficult to predict except the Arsenal one. Bayern v Madrid looks like a 50/50 game. The same can be said about Liverpool v PSG and Barcelona V Atletico Madrid. Even though one team might be in better form than the other, it's still difficult to predict because it's still very close.
I'll pick PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Munich to win if I had to.

While I understand why people give Real Madrid so much credit, there is a big difference between Bayern and Madrid. Bayern is a good team, Madrid is just bunch of very good players, what I mean by that is the fact that Madrid never really became a "team" they just play for themselves but they have some of the most talented players in the whole world which makes them win games of course.

Bayern on the other hand is better as a team, they know how to play together and they do a great job of it. This is why I honestly believe that the best we can do right now would be just focusing on how things could change, and for that reason I think we should be considering how things could be different and we could see Bayern win as a more likely situation.

Liverpool is a good team and for them to have gotten this far after struggling so much this season in the EPL indicates how resilient they have being all through this season despite all the struggles they have been through.

I still consider liverpool's squad to be one of the strongest squads in the world. They  have a lot of talented players in their squad. But the performance of this team is very  irregular due to the  weak bonding between the players. But liverpool performed well in the home match against galatasaray. PSG has a high chance of winning because they are in good form. Even then, if psg  makes any mistake , they will not be able to  win. Liverpool's team is  strong and they have the ability to defeat psg .

I don't really agree with this because I think most of those players where over hyped and made Liverpool spent so much money in signing them and still they couldn't give an expected performance or result as required based on their hype and price. I will say it was a great loss for Liverpool this season and the reason I said this season is because next season might be better for them than this season because it is obvious they may not be able to win anything unless their game pattern changed.

The first thing is that far more money is poured into the whole market because of more and new broadcasting possibilities. Football was never marketed as much as it is these days and you can see that sport branches have long become far more interesting to investors. The EPL has lots of businesses and businessmen involved not because it was a hobby like it was 25 years ago, but because you can make big money buying and selling shares in clubs, regardless of whether. those shares are publicly or privately traded.

The second thing is that ultra rich clubs like Manchester City and especially the Saudis are driving price inflation because it is simply a question of possibilities and competition for players. If a club was to offer a normal salary these days, players are willing to flush their careers down the toilet because the get paid 5x-10x in Saudi Arabia.

It is not a great development, but as long as the money flows into the market, it will be like that.

They are literally the only one who may not be in the UCL next season from the teams that are left. There is a good possibility that Lisbon may not be there neither, we still do not know, but that's it.

This is weird considering this is the quarter finals, so the last eight teams that are left standing, and only six of them will be here next season when two of them will not even be here. That never made sense to me, teams that are not good enough to join UCL but somehow still be in quarter finals? That's weird.

They have a chance but the problem is can they take it? Are they up to the task? I don't think so because their performance is still lagging behind so winning PSG can be very challenging for them. I don’t really think slot will be able to take Liverpool to the champions league semifinal, but even if they can’t get to the semifinal I don’t really think Liverpool are going to sack slot this season, I think Liverpool management are just going to give slot more time to see how he will improve the teams performance, but if their is no improvement in his performance, with time they just going to let him go.

I also see points with what he said about Liverpool having a chance to actually win against PSG especially with that there last comeback against Galatasaray at Anfield, but looking at it statistically, all signs shows that PSG are looking dangerous an are hunger to take it back once against to defend there tittle but it's still football so anything can happen.

Present Liverpool doesn't have the quality to play PSG. Although football may be funny sometimes as unexpected can happen. Well, the first leg at PSG home will determine Liverpool's hope. If they won Liverpool with great margin then Liverpool should count themselves out of the game. Arsenal should have an easy play with Sporting CP. They should be able to qualify with no much stress. Arsenal hope in winning this cup is just been more strengthen by pair them with a team like Sporting CP.
