Atletico Madrid may no longer have any hope of winning La Liga and may still be third best to Barcelona, but Atletico Madrid has a way of beating Barcelona. This isn’t the only time they’ve won against Barcelona in this season, as they previously defeated Barcelona in the Copa del Rey in a landslide victory .... so Atletico’s progression to the semifinals was not down to mere luck, as they really put in the effort and they knew exactly how to knock Barcelona out of the competition.

Atlético Madrid may well be the only team not expected to  reach the semifinals among the rest, but I think that could work in their favour as the underdogs. I don't see the point in saying Atletico Madrid is stronger than Arsenal. It's worth noting that Arsenal is the only undefeated Champions League semifinalist this season.
