Anyway, we're really hilarious in Italy! We had chosen the new national team coach, and the president of the Italian football league (FIGC) cancelled everything! Paolo Maldini and Leonardo have resigned from their respective roles and have been replaced by Claudio Ranieri, the new coach will be Roberto Mancini once again after winning Euro 2021.

Apparently they don't want radical change! And never, ever will we see a coach of a nationality other than ours lead our national team. Maldini tried by offering Pep Guardiola, but it was unsuccessful, and we can also understand why Guardiola refused.
I hope Mancini brings the Italian national team back to where they excel. Missing out on four World Cups in a row is suicidal, I think.

I really didn't understand anything from what Juventus did with him. First they loaned him from Leipzig and he had a really poor year.

Then they got him for around €43m. Now he has been loaned to another club... I guess at first their deal with Leipzig was like a loan with a mandatory buy option? Then they messed up after seeing his performance. 

Openda was a failed transfer of Juventus. This guy lost his form, yet Juve is also getting stuck to think what to do for him. So sending him to Lyon is the best way they can do, though they still have to share wage with Lyon (LOL).

Another problem is that he has no demand since Juve bought him for €43m. So it's impossible for him to let him go with huge lose with expectation to price him around 20m range due to how poor he is.

It's the reason he's sending him as a loan with the hope he can score double digits when he goes to Lyon. If it happens, it can push his price. So they won't book a huge lose if they decide to sell him next season.

Nevertheless, Juve is always so damn poor when it comes to football business.

We have the most incompetent managerial class in the world, and it shows.
the absurd thing, or rather not so absurd, is that they are practically glued to their seats (to their roles, it's an Italian expression)
They don't give up their jobs unless they get kicked out.

I didn’t realize that. I was only concerned about the Italian national soccer team, which kept struggling, so I wanted something to be done to turn things around for them—one way being the appointment of a head coach who has proven capable of lifting the team.
It was only recently that I realized this, when Pirlo and several other legends stepped down from management.

In recent years, in fact, I have savagely mocked them because they don't have a striker, or rather they didn't have a striker.

pirlo will not become coach of the national football team, this is something that leaves a lot of disappointment, but it certainly makes everything less bitter, the arrival of left-handers, or rather the return of left-handers this time with Ranieri, i believe they can really do a lot of positive things together, the national team will be all in attack.

I would first like to remind that Mancini won Euro 2020 - or 2021 technically - with the Italian national team. So it's quite possible for him to do nice things again. 

It wasn't only about their manager choices of course. Italian football has been managed in a quite poor way for years. The federation is also going through changes which must be good to hear for Italians. They must have missed to be a part of the World Cup again.

I don't expect too much with the upcoming euros but they should at least make it past the knockout stage during the next fifa world cup tournament.

I'm not Italian, but i really like Italy, especially the pasta and football. I'd love to see a strong Italian team again like back in 2006, but i think we're still a long way from that.Mancini isn't a bad coach. He's managed some really good clubs and has plenty of experience. The question is, though, how long would it take to rebuild and reorganize the team? Pep turned down the chance to coach Italy, and i think that says a lot because there's clearly a lot of work to be done

He has returned to take control of Italy again. It's great to hear about Ranieri's also being given a role there. He is a special manager and these are good moves to start from a point to resurrect the national team.

They missed 3 World Cups in a row. There was a real need for an immediate action. I hope the Serie A quality would also be increased in time.

The obligation to buy in Juventus's deal with PSG is not even a bad one, but it's the worst deal ever. They signed a striker that is ever worsen than Vlahovic and David, and importantly, rarely got minutes in his previous clubs. Sorry to say Juventus is a joke club.
If they don't know how to sign a proper striker, they should pay more but get quality and proven ST instead of betting in someone who almost played nothing last season.

So, look at the comparison above, is not it clear R Kolo Muani deal is a scam? At this point, they not only need new player, but the also need new sport directors as well as new management.
I'm sorry i really disliked their way to sign R Kolo Muani from PSG. it has to be one of their worst deal ever.

Honestly, getting Jackson from Chelsea for £65 million sounds better than R Kolo Muani.

I at least found it nice when I saw them trying their luck with Guardiola. He turned it down kindly because of just wishing to spend some time with his family for a while.

If Guardiola signed for the Italian national team then things could have been very interesting. We would have seen substantial changes as his style is quite different from the managers they have had so far.

Mancini also has a good history with a Euro title of course so who knows maybe he would make a good progress again.
