i'm genuinely curious what will happen to all the referees, and even players, who have been proven to have placed bets and engaged in match-fixing. if no action is taken, the turkish super league's already questionable reputation will be cemented, because even blatant match-fixing is being ignored.

i don't think the old championships will be changed; the issue needs to be escalated, but i don't think they will. we'll all see what happens.

No, they wouldn't do such thing like to take back some titles from certain clubs. I haven't heard of any similar example in other leagues until now also. But I hope these gambler referees/players all get punished fairly.

It's really unbelievable that professional league referees can do this easily and they haven't been inspected so far.    Who knows how many games they destroyed in the league history. Shame on all of them...

So professional match officials are in the business. This was never suppose to be the intended plan but what else can be done? The truth uncover on your watch, these referees are making good money from games because they're the one officiating and know how to simply agree and ignore something, move on in calmness. Nothing changed when UEFA bodies exert their actions, some of them stand the chance of been suspended, others been stripped of their roles as match officials and going back to be homeless.

It has been confirmed that many referees were involved in betting. We have been saying this for years. A clean-up operation was essential. I hope this is not just a token gesture and that further action will follow. The sports careers of all match-fixing referees will be ended. But what about the stolen points, matches and championships? Unfortunately, they have caused irreversible damage. Even if these corrupt referees now face the consequences of their actions, the stolen championships will unfortunately never be recovered. They have dealt a trillion-dollar blow to the industry.

I just read this news on X it is astonishing that many referees are involved in gambling.

It will be a mess of football if many referees are involved in gambling could be they are looking for their own benefits for their bets.

What could have pushed those referees to get involved in betting? Are they not paid a good amount of money for the refereeing job they are doing? Now i understand why a club president in the Turkish league fought with a referee because most of the referees in the Turkish league are not transparent in making decisions. Any referee that Turkish FA caught red handed involving himself in betting or match fixing, the referee should not be banned for a certain period of time; the referee should be sacked so that others can learn and cease from such behavior or act.

It's really unbelievable that professional league referees can do this easily and they haven't been inspected so far.    Who knows how many games they destroyed in the league history. Shame on all of them...

This news is very disappointing to my ears that they are doing match-fixing and betting on gambling for personal gain which is so stupid, and this really ruins the image that the Turkish super league has, and of course referees who come from that country will also definitely be blacklisted if they are found to be match-fixing, it is really stupid for other leagues to hire referees from this league.

Revoking the trophy is not easy because it has to overhaul the past and everything will be complicated, I just hope that the team, players and referees are fined accordingly for them in order to get a deterrent effect for this very bad and detrimental act of course, detrimental to the team that plays honestly, detrimental to players and spectators who have paid a lot of money for an exciting match that turns out to be the result of a drama that was made on purpose.

My question here is, are the side referees still officiating games while the investigation is still in progress or have they been suspended. Some Challenging issues affecting football now are things of this kind, players or referees getting involved in gambling may end up putting up attitudes that will help him win his game without putting other factors into consideration, so of the factors to be considered are the impact of such actions, the points and coaches job. As far as I know, only the referees who have been referred to the disciplinary committee will be suspended from officiating matches. I’m not entirely sure, though.
In my opinion, bringing in foreign referees is absolutely necessary at this point.
There are two important matches in the league this week, and we don’t even know whether the referees assigned to them are clean or not.
While the Central Referee Committee itself is under investigation, I don’t think anyone can really trust the referees they appoint.

I see Fenerbahce fans try to tell other teams are just easily losing to Galatasaray but also true about Fenerbahce who keeps losing to them too. They have UCL games coming up, so they will want to rest some players, and some players are booked, so it is going to be a confusing game to select players, some players are already decided but some will have to be considered.

I think it's clear that we are not going to see that much major changes but the reality is simple ,we should be able to see things change as much as possible for them for rotation purposes, otherwise injuries will get a lot bigger. If they do not care about rotation enough, it will be their doom for the long term.

As far as I know these kind of cheating is an ordinary thing in some African countries, even in their first leagues. I remember reading about that years ago but to be honest, I don't think they suspected more than 25% of referees to be involved nor a one referee to place more than 18k bets.
No changes will happen, they will continue investigating every referee, every player and every club then impose fines and sack dozen of them if proven guilty because some referees claimed that some people opened the accounts with their names to make them look corrupt.
The worst scenario, they will call for foreigners referees to replace the sacked ones to avoid troubles in the schedules.
