Looking at this league and how it's doing in UEFA competitions, I have to say they need to realize something is going wrong compared to how much money they are spending. Sure they are not ranked super low, they are like 8th or 9th something like that in Europe which isn't terrible that is true.

But compared to how much they are spending? Way too much money is spent in this league compared to how much success they are getting in Europe, that is not normal. If a team is worth 300 million euro, and then losing to many teams that are under 100 million euro value, that's just straight up bad. And this isn't just one team, there are bunch of teams like that in the league that constantly gets bad results and gets humiliated.

The truth is that This league is just a developing league so I don't think it's right to start comparing their success to the amount invested yet. For me they still need more time to build their league better and being a developing league, not many good players would ordinarily love to go there. So I believe they're playing the same game with the Saudi league that's using money to attract players. If they refuse spending the money, they will even get worst. Players can accept a la liga team, Epl, Bundesliga or even seria A league transfer at lower price that accept a Turkish team or Saudi Arabia team. So what they do is to inflate the amount and attract manageable players to their league. If galatasaray has not placed such bounty on Victor Osimhen, they could have lost the deal of which they needed him to grow their fan base and improve their success (and they're achieving it already).

Over time, they will get better. No matter the amount of money invested on a Saudi league, you won't expect it to beat an average Epl team. All what they're doing is trying to develop the league first. Teams can take years to build for a better success. Their European champions bad display is not a very bad one and they're not the only one facing such challenges. Having foreign referees are not a solution because, now it's time for TFF to have professional approach and done changes on many things which are preventing them from having fair work, if they always think about their own interest in upcoming days as well. Making VAR available for just to keep things balanced and tough punishments, will not make good reputation and definitely not a way of providing their services. They have good fan base while their market is also good but due to internal issues and biased policies, they are suffering badly. For last few years, this is their biggest problem.

Doesn't matter if they are developing or developed or anything, if you are spending 100+ million in a transfer summer, you are expected to do better at UCL, and certainly need to be doing better at your own league. When teams like Galatasaray and Fenerbahce end up spending this much money, only to overpay for players who do not deserve that much money, then you are going to get bad results for money. Biggest issue usually for these teams is spending a lot on one or two players, and then not have any proper bench at all.

You have to consider the fact that bringing in foreign referees somehow undermines the league, people may beginning thinking that the football federation over there are some-what corrupt or incapable of officiating and handling matches.

This could be the reason why the TFF are not interested in making it mandatory for foreign referees to officiate in the Turkish league. The integrity of the league will be undermined and it standard berated amongst it equivalents in europe leagues.

Osimhen was presented as a problem player at Napoli. Also, he has had some injury issues in the past. Furthermore, the Napoli president was not open to negotiations regarding his transfer fee. All of this combined led to this situation. Osimhen has proven that he is not a problem player in Türkiye and that he does not get injured very often. I think we will hear his name a lot again in all transfer windows, including the winter transfer window...
