Beşiktaş has become accustomed to doing this. They can hardly part ways with any of their players. They couldn't even part ways with Atiba properly; it should have been a nice farewell match. They didn't part ways with Quaresma properly either. In my opinion, these were the most legendary players of the last 10-15 years. Necip was also part of the team, even if he never performed exceptionally well. Giving such players a proper send-off should be part of the club's culture. It's important for leaving a good impression on the new players coming in. A club's greatness is revealed not in its good times but in its bad times. Necip didn't earn much money, but he might not have earned that much at other clubs either. It was necessary for both sides to reach a reasonable agreement, and neither side should have come out looking bad.
