The truth is that Benfica will struggle a bit before they will come back to winning ways in the Portuguese league, this is because they are undergoing a rebuilding process under a new manager. So personally speaking I didn't expect that Benfica will just turn things around suddenly under Mourinho as a coach. Building a team takes time and the fans should be patience with the coach knowing that he is one coach that, has what it takes to take the team to a greater Glory.


We should not look at the result of a team when ever we want to judge the performance of a team, it's true that Benfica struggled to score in their last game but looking at the overall performance of the team I was really impressed with the performance of the team because they played well, we should give Mourinho sometime before jumping into conclusions.

As for Porto vs. Sporting, it's completely unpredictable; the home advantage might help Porto, but a draw would be the best scenario for Benfica to remain in the title race, don't you think?

Porto on paper looks a bit favourite however in real life Sporting was good and forced them to get a draw even though they were the underdog team and Porto failed their fans again.

Mourinho situation at Fenerbahçe is very different from his situation at Benfica. At Fenerbahçe, he was the one who put the team together, and there were many people within the structure who didn't like him. Proof of this is that a player he wanted to sign only arrived at the club days after he had left.

When he arrived at Benfica, the team was already in third place and physically exhausted. With the transfer window closed at the time, he couldn't do much more than manage the squad as best he could. Not very entertaining game, but it was worth to watch till the end. Porto were leading big part of game, but didn't deserved to win, fair that Sporting managed to equalize result. Though, it was quite cheap, but right penalty. And like I said before the game, only team happy about this result is Benfica.
Good point about Farioli - Ajax fans forever will remember how Farioli wasted 9 points lead in 5 games.

I agree that his prime days is in past, but I will defend him a bit. He isn't working from beginning of season, he didn't picked players. And even if Benfica isn't looking amazing, but in Europe they're doing great. and I wouldn't say that Mourinho's Fenerbahche was main favorite in Turkey. Maybe I'm not biggest Turkish expert, but I think that Galatasaray is main favorite, they also have much bigger budget.

Another round where we saw Benfica winning with some difficulty. Braga won their game with relative ease. We had the great Porto vs. Sporting derby. It wasn't a fantastic game, with both teams cancelling each other out, and it ended in a draw. Interestingly, once again, Sporting scored a goal in the very last minute (it's become a habit).

Porto drew away to Plzen and won their last match against Rangers to book a place in round 16 of the Europa League. Also, they beat Benfica to book a place in the semifinals of the Portuguese Cup and have won their last 7 matches in the league. How is that not impressive?

Some fans can be insatiable, they just want their club to always have 100% win rate disregarding that it could be very tough and only very few clubs im the history of football has achieved that, seven consecutive run in the league is very impressive, it would be unfair if fans start dragging Farioli cause of some draws.

 The good things is that they bounced back from the defeat to Casa Pia and went on to draw Sporting Lisbon thereby maintaining their lead with four points gap, it's not enough for fans to worry cause Sporting is one of the biggest team so the game wasn't expected to be easy, they just have grab all the points against Nacional in their next fixture.

Quite the contrary, I actually got the vast majority right. But there were cases where I lost 3 bets but with 2 wins I ended up compensating for 1 and losing much less. I prefer this method, as I've always done it this way and it's always been profitable. I may not have caught all the games, but the ones I did always followed this pattern.

Today early game for Benfica against Santa Clara an easy game for them while they are on good run and needs to keep their momentum, in few days they are going to host Real Madrid, this is going to be challenging game for them, but they are having good depth.

Today they take early lead which gave them good chance of having same points with Sporting CP which is having their next game against Famalicao at home while Porto going to visit struggling Nacional after having two games without any win. Porto is still having good control at top but fight for second spot is going to be interesting till last round between Sporting and Benfica.

Sporting played at home, Porto away and this is what makes difference. And it's really difficult round for top clubs. Benfica go minimal win, but this isn't something surprising, it's their style, Porto also won just 0:1.
I would say that Sporting struggled the most, it took them more than 80 minutes to score a goal. I had parlay with Porto and Sporting and I was already thinking that it will be burned.

Sporting CP game just ended. They played at home and struggled hard to earn those 3 points. Sporting was the last team on my only Sunday bet and I honestly thought they were going to bottle the game and end it at a barren draw. Congratulations on getting your bet right! Sporting also won, and curiously, Sporting only managed to score one goal. I don't know what happened with the attacks of Porto and Sporting that they only managed to score one goal. The luck of both teams is that they had good defenses; if they had conceded a goal, then we would be talking about a draw and a loss of money on your part.
