Perhaps if the substitutions for Benfica, which greatly helped to turn the result around, had been made about 10 minutes earlier, Benfica could have won the game.

But, in my opinion, Benfica, despite playing poorly in the first half, did much more to win than Porto. Porto basically played on the counter-attack, and were successful in two of them. Porto didn't win because they didn't play to win, especially in the second half; they played not to lose.

I think I'll agree with you cause if they had played to  win they would've scored more after being 2 goals ahead of Benfica but surprisingly Benfica had to equalize the two goals and threatened to score the 3rd if Porto hadn't defended properly. If they could defend Benfica from scoring the 3rd goal why didn't they try to stop them from equalising. Luckily for them they're still leading on the table else this draw would've caused them problem.

The match ended 2-2, and Porto earned one point from this away game. The gap with their closest rival, Lisbon, remains at 4 points, as Lisbon drew 2-2 away against Braga.

Before both games started, my prediction was that Sporting would beat Braga. Honestly, I didn't expect to see Sporting concede a goal just when the game didn't have many minutes left. Conceding a penalty in the 90+6 minute was a huge disappointment. They missed a good chance to get very close to Porto.

As for the Benfica game, honestly, I wanted to bet on a draw or a win for them and I ended up forgetting. Then I watched the game, it was already 5 minutes in, and I preferred not to bet anything. I only watched until the first half. This isn't a bad result for Benfica. It just shows that with some new signings next season they can return to glorious times.

I confess I'm surprised by the final result of the Benfica vs. Porto game, because Porto scored two goals in the first half. I even concluded that it was a sure defeat for Benfica, and their first ever. My fear was that they would concede more goals in the second half. That's why I stopped watching the game because, in my opinion, Benfica had already lost.

But an hour later, I saw on the news website that the game ended in a draw. I thought they might be wrong, so I checked other sources and, to my surprise, Benfica didn't lose. Scoring two goals in the second half was incredible. Those Benfica players play well when they want to.

Benfica couldn't gain any advantage at home. The first half was a very difficult time for them, a very frustrating time for me. Benfica are now like Arsenal who have come close to winning the title in the last few seasons and lost. Last season they lost the title by just 2 points. I expected them to win this season, but they are already far from it. Today I expected a good match at least against the top team in the points table. But the first half was the opposite of my expectations, although they made a great comeback in the second half, it wasn't enough to win.

Mourinho arrived when the squad was already assembled, yet he's still doing well. I believe the team will improve next season.

Interesting results that we saw coming from the Portuguese league, as there were lots of goals that were scored over the weekend. The two biggest matches of the weekend all ended in a 2:2 draw coecidentally. I was expecting a  change in the top four because,all the top four teams were meeting themselves. With this results Porto still remains on top the league with a two point lead as they have 66 points followed by sporting on 62 points.



The Battle is between Porto and sporting this season, because Benfica and Braga are just trying to catch up with the top two teams, I will like sporting to try and retain their title. Sporting is not playing well like last season because, last season they were fantastic.

I was looking at the statistics and I remember that it was easier to understand a draw in the Braga vs. Sporting game than in the Benfica vs. Porto game. The game had a very competitive tone, it seemed like the players were playing in some kind of final. They were letting personal emotions get the better of them and forgot they were professional players. After Benfica's second goal, things got out of control. I think Arouca should have been more skillful in their finishing. They were lucky to get the penalty, but if it had been Arouca playing against Porto and the Porto player had been in the same situation as the Benfica player, I highly doubt the referee would have awarded a penalty against Porto.

Porto will play with Moreirense later tonight.

I bet on Porto to win, I don't see them losing, in the worst-case scenario Porto would come away with a draw.

I didn't see the odds for Porto's victory, but they won that match very well. It was a comfortable 3-0 win, and it could have been more, as Porto had 8 shots on goal. They achieved a good statistic considering it was a home game and Moreirense only managed 3 shots.

Sporting Lisbon and Benfica are tied on points, but Benfica has played an extra game. Sporting Lisbon are currently trying to eliminate Bodo. They played a fantastic match and achieved a score that would take the game to extra time. Extra time has now begun, and they have 30 minutes to score a fourth goal. While searching for that fourth goal, they must avoid conceding a goal on a counter-attack. I could not talk because of the utter dominance demonstrated by Sporting which completely ruined the defence of their opponent in the match the same day. We must learn that when they are playing at home, their energy levels become severally higher and thus making them an intimidating opponent. The Portuguese representatives have become the subject of high hopes to keep their progression and demonstrate their value in Europe. Bodo/Glimt appears to have undergone a great psychic crisis.
