As for me oh. There is no need for them to participate and they should prepare themselves in the next world Cup. If they qualify and participate, what happened in the AFCON Championship will still repeat itself again so there is no need. Super Eagles I know in 2000 to 2014 were good though they used to disappoint us but when Kanu, Jaja were in the team, they were doing good. Even they didn't win a cup they can play to the semi final or to the final but now it is on the group stage of the first two matches that knocking them out from the field, or the tournament.

But in the last Afcon they made it to the final even though they failed to win it. I am not disputing your fact that they always fumble, I know they always disappoint but still seeing them qualify for Tournaments is good else their FIFA rating will drop so badly. I think what we need to do is to raise our hopes high that they will win or play as we expect. I seriously miss The Old Super Eagles because they really made us proud even when they don't win the trophy.

We shouldn't be condemning our country like that and even if they haven't been doing well in international competitions that is no reason to pray they don't qualify. It will be bad if in Africa Nigeria that produces good players don't participate in this Tournament. Regardless of how they make us feel it's still a good thing to see our own people participate, sometimes a team that struggles to qualify end up surprising people. Nigeria is our country and you should always have their back no matter how they keep disappointing and pray one day things will get better for them because I believe they will get better one day.
If they don't qualify this time no worries they should work harder and qualify next time. The mistake was not using the players abroad, you can't compare the qualities and exposure with that of home boys but I believe he saw what he wanted to see.

Exactly the point, we shouldn't raise our hopes high for them because we already know how they play. That way we wouldn't feel heart broken whenever they mess up. I also don't expect anything from them so he should do the same that way he will not feel disappointed.

You wouldn't blame the ladies when they act that way playing for their nation, for most of them, it's about the honour and the call to serv but this is quite different with the male folks, the male are mostly after the lucrative part of the game, and if at any point they find it not lucrative enough, they want to withdraw or show less interest because for them they are not doing that which they find beneficial enough.

Apart from that the male sometimes face more challenges that discourages them, such as there have been times where an individual from the male team had to shoulder the burden of a major part of their traveling logistics which I don't think is ever same with the females but anyways I appreciate what they are doing.

I wish the the Super Eagles of those days was the Super Eagles of today without winning, they play a good and entertaining football that is very much commendable even if they loss the match.
The female team players are not heard that much even at their club side, but they are playmakers and they also replicate that in the national female team but the Eagles that we hear their names everyday being signed by big teams does not even replicate their expertise at national level. Still wondering if the issue is coming from the team management or the NFF because if it is NFF, the female too will be affected and be messing up as well but  the both team are being funded by the NFF and nothing to complain about during their outings but the female perform much better than the male. the female being managed by a local coach and the male managed by a foreign coach so what do we say here?

You can hear about each player from our men division in their respective clubs but when it comes to National team, their performance begins to shatter automatically. Aside from our captain and goalkeeper, probably with few players at the front the rest are bringing average performance to the national level, our defensive build are worse especially from the fullbacks, it will be difficult to get pass Bassey for Fulham and Aina at Nottingham Forest when they play individual positions for club.

Our women side are the pride of national team, their historic victory raised our standards in the midst of other African countries.

How I wish the two finalists will be Senegal vs. Morocco because it will look tougher than how it will look now because neither Madagascar nor Sudan istoo good in football, and it will not bring much attention to the final because many people will just have it in mind that any team that qualifies between Senegal and Morocco will just win the title.

Nevertheless, let’s not underestimate any of these teams because for them to play well to this extent of qualifying for the semifinals, they are also very good and should be given that respect, because we can end up seeing one of them winning the final at the end of the tournament.

As a gambler I have lost a lot of money to my sports bets cultivating my thoughts in this manner about underestimating any small time when playing against a big side especially in-between semifinals and finals. For the underdog to have gone through the compet to have reached the finals then there should be something we have got to scared about them.

You're are absolutely right on this, we have very poor management, we just have politicians managing the affairs of super eagle of Nigeria, they are only there for their pockets, they decide for the coach himself not the other way round, it is even funny when I hear or see people talk about expecting some real stuff from the team at this moment, personally I don't expect thing presently from them until I begin to see the change that many of us expect, you talk about the right tactics when their nothing put in place for us to get that right tactics so how then is that achievable, football is a practical thing, super eagles has to show working with help of the entire technical advisers, crew membera and the coach himself then we can talk about other things, aside this, we shouldn't expect nothing mate.

Well, it's a pity we find it this way that our men are not making us proud in football, it is our women that is doing so. That occurrence makes me think at times, what has gone wrong in the Super Eagles we boast of, many years back in 2010 downwards, when in each African tournament we see our men coming top of the tournament. You didn't say the part were Nigerians were cheated. I think African cup of nation tournament need to be reevaluate by the FIFA. In the last African cup of nation, in the final Nigerians weren't even allow to go in, just few people and Ivory coast were filled up to the brim and were making the game harder for Nigeria to concentrate. Anytime they have a kick off to play, they shout to make confusion, honestly we weren't that good but Nigerian players deserves some praise.

Look at what the Moroccans did to our female players that went to the final, they were shinning LED light on Nigerian female players so they couldn't see. This wasn't talk about after the game, they were busy crying with manipulated faces saying the referee was paid and all sort of talks that weren't meaningful. You're praying for the Super Eagles to qualify in the World but also pray that they should not qualify because definitely they give us heart attack. So preferably they should just stay at home. The selection of the recent two matches by Eric Chelle was  not good. He would have used the normal players and only bring in like 2 or 3 of the home base players.
But some of the ex players said they didn't blame the coach but the players. All that is not the issue now, Nigeria should just forget about the tournament this time and prepare themselves in the next tournament. They can't do anything again. Finidi came and sidelined some of the good players and suffered defeat. Eric came abandoned the current players and use home base which was hand picked by the assistant coach from his National Team, Remo Stars boys.

Footballers spend more time with their football clubs, so there is better synergy in their clubs, that is why Foden plays better at City than he does for England, or why Vini Jr is great for Real Madrid, but cannot perform for Brazil. I could give you a thousand examples of this.

Most countries have good players but still don't do well when it comes to international duties, blaming the players  is not right because at times game pattern plays a vital role in players performance,  the coach in charge and condition of service also should be considered especially for African players that there nations never capture there welfare

I wonder if the management really thinks about this because if they do, they would ask themselves questions about why the team under them is not  performing well, because they have everything under their control to make sure they get a positive result, but yet nothing to show for the inputs, rather  the Falcons with the local coach is the one really doing us proud when it comes to bringing home trophy and the Super Eagles are just trohpyless.

It is important that the Nigeria super eagles qualifies to participate in the next World Cup. With each world cup tournament attended it increases a country's rate in world football rate. Do a quick research you'll observe that Nigeria rating both in African football and the world dropped from their failure to qualify in the 2022 world cup.

They may not have a  torrential performance in contrast to the set of players you make reference to it it will the bad enough that they in a row failed to qualify for this tournament in the country's history that will be a negative record.

Exactly, most times, that’s the only opportunity they had to have gone this far in the tournament for the first time in some years, so they have to do their best to use the opportunity to make history for themselves and their country as well; so they will never take it likely with their opponents especially in the finals because opportunity come few times in a lifetime, and this can be the opportunity any of them that managed to qualify to the final might have to lift the title for the first time and to also make their country proud.

True but we have players playing better for their national team than their clubs. Cucurella form picked up with spain before it started showing in his performance at club level. We have players giving the same energy to both club and country, I don't think it's bad if we ask our players to do the same for us. I don't see any player (apart from Osimhen) giving his best to the national team. I get the reason for this players not giving their best but they're doing it too much, at least others play for the pride of their nation. You won't see Moroccan players act the way our Nigerian players are acting same can be said about most nations in the continent.

Even when the right person is appointed the super Eagles head coach, we also have problems with him in choosing the right players to play for team without making biased selection and politicizing their choice of players. The system is rigged, and for we to get it right, we must start from the head to sanitize the whole system so it will be free from people taken biased decision and choosing the right management team that appoints the right manager, and then a good manager that will then choose the right players, that's the water flows down hill.
