As it is they will play so poorly and later on start relying on others. For the case of South Africa, if those three points hadn't been deducted, that means they would have automatically qualified.

But why does Super Eagles like to qualify through calculations and tie their success to other people's failure or so. Despite that Nigeria is the African giant, their super eagles have always found it difficult to qualify like a footballing nation.

To be honest I wasn't happy about their situation, I didn't concentrate on this qualify games not because I just feel lazy but I was very confident that Nigeria will qualify like others, their match against South Africa through my attention when a lot has been discussed about them, they still have hope but when it comes to games like this i prefer they should start better so that they can be congratulate like others.

I definitely agree with you regarding the super Eagles they never take things serious at the beginning then when they are about to fall you now see them struggling, I wasn't impressed with their performance because this is what they should have done earlier, we only thank God that South Africa draw their last match, I hope they should be able to win their next game but I know it's not going to be easy for them.

What a nice and pitiful illustration you have given on the national team, although you should work on the image a little bit so that it doesn't look as if the Benin team and South Africa are begging the super eagles because that is how it shows, super eagles was supposed to be the side kneeling down and praying against the two because of the situation they are going to get if this two is to win, but however is actually good because everybody understand what this is saying against them. By 8pm tomorrow we would have known if this prayer was answered or others were much important to answer than the super eagles as the match is taking place tomorrow all the three.

Xxxxxxxccxx. I doubt the ability of this coach even if we are able to make it to the world cup that he will be able to take Nigeria through the group stages of the World Cup. It is a painful thing and will be a shame if we are unable to qualify for the world cup with this quality of players that we have.

Since Nigeria is yet to qualify for the World Cup, you should not doubt if Nigeria head coach will be able to guide Nigeria pass the group stage of the World Cup; you should be thinking about how Nigeria will manage to qualify for the World Cup because if they fail to beat Benin in their next match and qualify for the World Cup, there's no way Nigeria head coach will compete in the World Cup for you to know if he's capable of guiding the Nigeria team pass the group stage or not.

I am thinking if the coach really knows what he's doing. If Nigeria does not qualify, it will be a big blow to the country that claim to be the giant of Africa. How can you claim to be the giant of Africa and you can not win most of your matches, even the weak teams we thought Nigeria is going to beat in the match was able to defeat the super eagles and others played draws. Very inconsistent sorry I have to make use of your word, i think they were not prepared for this, it is very clear for anyone to see, Lesotho scored in the match between Nigeria and them, some countries that would have been a straight win for Nigeria, ended in a draw, it should not be surprising to you or seem as extraordinary thing to you why super eagles player wont perform well in the world cup qualifiers games but do better in their league matches, the reason is simple, maintaining there position and the money involved it is very simple, non of them want to be injured too because how inhumane our country leaders are,so they won't want to sacrifice their all to avoid being a sacrificial lamb.

This shouldn’t be a difficult task to achieve on a good day but the team have failed to deliver on consistency and a show of resilience lately. We struggle in all aspects of the game, at this moment I’m not even hoping we will gain qualification for this world cup because they will always fail us.

I don't know why their performance was very low  from the beginning of this tournament despite the quality players they invited to join the super Eagle to play this world cup. Super Eagle that use to beat any country in their home as a giant of Africa in football game, they have Lost two games at home to small countries before they managed to beat their opponent last game that made super Eagle to reach third position in their group. Maybe the amount of money they are receiving from their international club is bigger than what they are receiving from home, because some of the Africa countries they have played so far don't have quality players like super Eagle. One thing I know about tomorrow game, it will going to be a tough game that will lead to draw 0:0.

I do not know about South Africa, but Nigeria have struggled for goals all through this World Cup qualifiers. Correct me if i am wrong, but i do not think we have scored more than two goals in a game in this qualifiers so far. So that said, i think a +2.5 handicap for Benin should be a safe bet, except the Super Eagles have something spectacular up their sleeves tomorrow, lol, which i (and millions more in Nigeria) doubt that's possible.

I don't even seem to understand if this current era and dispensation of players are seen better than the time of them Kanu and the likes, or maybe I should even put it this way, that the Super Falcons are even doing better than the Super Eagles, because achieving a milestone seems a threat to us in the way of how the team have been performing, but as I will advise on this, let's hope and expect for a better performance now and in the future to come for the Super Eagles in every of their matches.

I don't think Malawi has any real claim to victory, but this score didn't strike me as out of place.
The odds on Sao Tome were incredibly high, and they finished the match with a 1-0 victory.

That is indeed a waste of odd, no one can ever believe the game will end in favour of sao tome and principe but the unimaginable happened at last, that's why they say know game is hundred percent sure and that's why we are advised not to gamble with what we can't loss.
I think there win is a sign of improvement because for years they have never secured any point in top tournament like the world cup qualifier as they have done this season, so they deserved to be praised for their unbelievable performance in todays game  but the win cost a lot of damage for gamblers today.

Sometimes I wonder if there was some arrangements between the two teams to let some people around them win the underdog bet. Well this always happens in few domestic leagues and obviously they get caught red handed but for nations, generally the arrangements that happen are limited to play poorly against the opponent which is a friend nation and let the other rival which the first nation doesn't like it, fail to qualify. This happened many times in CAF.
I don't accuse Sao Tome and Malawi for anything since both are miserable and they will leave regardless of the result of the game so that might explain the outcome of the match.

But I want to bring to your Notice the Cape Verdeans, this country has improved a lot in the past years the last time we saw them at the AFCON they were spectacular not just for the beautiful fans but also on the pitch and now we seeing them top a group consisting of Cameroun Libya and Angola. They didn’t just top it by luck they won their games convincingly topping the group with four points away from second place Cameroun. I applaud their performance and efforts. Watch out for them at the World Cup.

Cape Verde has shown much improvement if you have been following African football for a while and am not surprised about this feet that they are about to do, I just hope that Cape Verde can win their last game at home and qualify for the world cup and make history. I see this as a reward for hardwork and investment because Cape Verde has invested in their.


As for the Nigerian group that group as been the most intriguing group as it has been full of drama. As for the Nigerian fans they should forget about it because the odds are against us now. Nigeria may just do South Africa favour by beating Benin Republic in their last game at home.

Just to add some opinions to the existing discussion; Rwanda won their first game against the South Africa I know this game means nothing to them and they might just let it give it off to help the South Africa but I don't think they will conceed more than 3 goals. So igebotz +2.5 handicap is possible in that fixture.

Safe bet options for both is under 1.5 HT goals.

A huge congratulations to Cape Verde for their for their first FIFA World Cup qualification, it’s truly well deserved for this team because judging from their recent performances over the past 5-4 years, they’ve been showing glimpses of improvement and the desire to be among one of the best teams in Africa. They’ve really surprised everyone with some stellar performances and results even against Africas biggest teams and today they just get rewarded for their hard work and it shows the team and also the countries football Governing body is really doing a great job. They certainly will be one of the team to watch out for at the World Cup.
