So as it stands now, we have physical AFCON winners, which is Senegal and digital AFCON winners, which is Morocco. I saw this news trending on Twitter or x.com and at first I thought I had not read it right, or perhaps I was dreaming. I have never seen such a thing before. Not even in Sunday league tournaments.
No wonder people keep saying African Cup of Nations is a joke. At first, I thought that they were being unfair but with this, I now see why it's a complete joke. Do people actually pay money to watch those games?  

You know, being African, it feels a little uneasy to accept this inevitability but over and over, CAF tends to prove it to be true and throw the shame in our faces. They just keep showing themselves to the world over and over and people are taking notes.

And what were the facts? The referee didn’t call a forfeit on the spot, the game was played out until the final minutes and the officials handed out medals and the trophy. The facts is Morocco felt entitled to the title right from the beginning of the tournament because they were the hosts so obviously they did not take too well to losing the final to Senegal. The fact is CAF had to embarrass themselves by handing Morocco a 3 nil victory because Morocco has been bailing CAF for years now by hosting World Cup Qualifcations and AFCON Qualifcations because other African countries do not have standard stadiums.

Issues like this could also happen with other leagues, but the chances of paying the same way this occur could be different, so we should expect that no one is free of violence in such regard, there have been conditions of worst scenario in the past that happened in order leagues, but let me just put it in this way, that probably Africa may have a shortcoming in the way of administering some challenges like this.

There are some judgement that will make some teams not to be happy than to look finished before the eye of the law because there are some crisis that will happen you will not have the mind or confidence to stand to play the match, which was the step Senegal players took to calm the situation before resume back to the field to continue the match, despite Senegal won that match,  I think the monitor teams suppose revisit how the crisis started in that final match and what makes Senegal players to give peace a chance for the field, and it will help the judgment teams to come up with a good solution that will make both teams to be happy.

This is the same Morocco team doing everything possible to be the winner of the African nations cup, just because they are the host nation, so you do not need a seer for you to believe that their have been some underground work by caf and Morocco, so that they will be announced as winner. I have found it difficult to join this CAF and AFCON saga since it started because it amazes me much how elderly people who are supposed to posses African wisdom will sit together and bring out that rubbish for the world to consume.
It is very shameful and I do not just understand the basis for such a stupid decision.

I mean if you want to punish Senegal, you can come up with other measures that is even as extreme as striping them the CAF cup.
For instance, if you find them and ban them from the next AFCON, this would have been better, no matter the fact it will still raise uproar.

CAF has actually given the white guys yet another reason to see us less. The only factor that could influence this rubbish is money. CAF must have compromise and this is a bad thing for the whole continent.

Are you doubting what most people think about the decision of CAF, if you're doubting it, it means you don't know what people are capable of doing, nothing bribe can not trigger especially in this part of the world, let me ask you, do you think it is nice to take such decision after the trophy has been handed over to the winners few months later, so CAF didn't consider the reaction of people and how suspicious such decision can be, believe it or not, the world of football will not find such decision funny and whoever that hear this, will marvel because it seems like a children play, for me, I know the country that won the title and I can never say it is Morocco and I believe that there are some persons that share the same sentiment with me.

The question is who are those people that the realistic nature of the wining does not sit well on? I'm sure it was only Morocco and CAF that didn't see that it was a genuinely win, so actually the bribe @Promocodeudo pointed could make someone abuse the power they have. Maybe you were talking in the past when Nigeria has a way heavier presence in Africa and CAF. These days it is Morocco which is dominating everything in the region whether politically or in football.
Senegal should avoid confrontation and try to seek legal ways to avoid further sanctions. I saw the comments of several Senegal players and their photos with the trophy but that's not enough and will provoke CAF even further. There is the TAS decision that should be requested and if Senegal lose it then they should forget about it and think about finding another region to play with if they want to not stay in CAF for real.

Senegal should better respect the decision of CAF, and return the trophy to the rightful owners, because they’re not the Champions of Africa, Morocco are the true Champions of Africa, or they can also be ready to withdraw from CAF, the way they withdrew in the Final of the AFCON, because I know they’re very good in withdrawing.

A final was played between Guinea and Morrocco in 1976, a game that the Morroccans had to walked out of the pitch and returned afterwards to get a draw with Guinea... All that protest was simply because they weren't happy with the ref decision, so if you seem to be all about these team upholding the law, then I say that Morrocco should return the 1976 cup +Medals and Cash Price to the rightful owner which is Guinea, which is very much impossible since almost all of the 1976 players are either no more and/or have retired....See these whole African football is nothing to write home about and CAF are the one that made sure of that... Nigeria may not hold as much influence in CAF today, but they surely wouldn’t give up without a fight. You’re right, Senegal’s approach is not the best, I think they just don’t care at this point and feel the system is rigged against them hence their hesitation to appeal.

It will be very hard for Hakimi to independently make his own statement given the fact that the Moroccan national team has a channel to which they make communication and it will be out of place for him to make a separate statement from what the federation spokesperson would say, and given the sensitivity of this case, I believe he will stay silent till the very last verdict.
