The super eagles is being praised for what I don't really know. They promised us the AFCON medal and it is unfortunately that we could no see them winning but coming up with a third position. I don't know why everytime there is always a problem with the super eagles not meeting up with undesirable positions with plenty of excuses each year.

The super eagles performance wasn’t bad in the AFCON

What most Nigerians want from the super eagle is to qualify for the world. But when they miss this out, we believe they could compliment us by winning the AFCON. The fact that they didn't later won the AFCON doesn't stop us from acknowledging their efforts in the AFCON. They rely try in the AFCON. If they had played the world cup qualifier with full passion just like they did for AFCON, they might have qualify.

CAF should investigate some of these calls from the referee because there's no way everyone will be crying about a thing and you are not concerned about it.
Thank God that Senegal won if not many will not have taken this year's Afcon seriously but great performance from Senegal they deserves this win.

Congratulations to Senegal. They really deserved it. I'm really happy for them. I know this match won't be that easy for both sides. I never believe Senegal can have the cup considering many facts from home advantage to Morocco good players and even high numbers of supporters on field. It is a huge success for Senegal, and I never expected Senegal to be the winner of the game. This is the most retarded statement I have seen in this sub. How does a goal celebration affects the outcome of a football match.
Nigeria vs Morocco ended with a win to Morocco through a penalty shootout. Nigeria did scored but their goal was cancelled.
If Morocco had scored with an open play all through out the 120 minutes, it would be a different story. But they cored through penalties which is a game of luck.

It was a competitive game which we gave with the wrong plan and we executed very poorly and we lost because of our poor performance not because of something Akor did from the game before. We should just learn to say things as they are amd leave theories.

Senegal winning means football won again today. It was a good twist to the end of the game with Diaz missing that penalty that should not have been given in the first place. Morocco has had many decisions favor them in this competition, if they had won, the competition would have lost its credibility in many of our eyes.

For Brahim Diaz, it is unfortunate that instead of people remembering him for the number of goals he scored in this competition, he is going to be remembered more for the poor penalty kick.

I lost a total interest this tournament after watching their game against Nigeria as the game was shit-officiated by that so called referee, it isn't a must that when you host an AFCON then you must win it, No. The African refs should better get upgraded in their way of handling such important competitive match and competitions like this in African seen so they get recognised internationally to officially other important competitions, because with character, they go no where.

Because of the irrational behavior of the African referee to favor a team over the other, they are hardly called to officiate a big tournament like the World Cup because they can be bribed to favor the highest bidder.

nelson4lov, you're right. Player paying tributes or respect with their goals  has been something common in sports such as football and Akor's can't be interpreted otherwise. I was really disappointed to see Nigeria playing with so much respect to the Morocco team by playing defensive, too careful and less offensive in the frontline. It was unlike them in what I have seen them played in previous games in the tournament. The central referee may have made some surprising mistakes which appeared to favour the host country in the game but Nigeria just didn't really perform to expectation as we had thought.

When I was looking at the celebration stage today, I really hoped it was the super eagles which were there celebrating but all hopes were ruined from the semi finals, we would have been the ones to face the Senegalese in the final game and I have the conviction to say Nigerian super eagles would have probably won this year’s AFCON after the last time our players took the trophy in 2013 and the tournament was ended with a final which saw Nigeria playing against Burkina Faso and ended 1 goal to none. Morocco weren’t at their best today, they played a very reserved football, with a one man striker while concentrating on their mid filed and defense in the game. They depended so much on building an attack from the flanks but, the Senegalese team didn’t give them much space to create these chances.
It must have being really hard for Morocco to have come very close with a last minute penalty to take the cup and it was missed by Brahim Diaz. That did balanced things up for the Senegalese as they had their first goal disallowed. The decider came in the extra time and it was a clean goal.
