It's only in Africa that I have seen this happening. What was the work of VAR was it not to make sure that the match is coordinated and officiated properly. So, why going to court to finalize the winner of the competition when it was opened to all that Senegal won the competition.

How have we not seen that they are trying every possible best to make sure Morocco wins the World Cup, i also love how Senegal are not backing down to defend the trophy. CAF is full time biased, the football and federation we used to know is now occupied by politics, by whatever means they plot their agenda, it must go as planned, whether the deal is obvious or not because we can truly see and tell what is going on in this matter.

The majority of Africa countries will not be happy if the AFCON title is given to Morocco by any means, other neighbouring countries should give their support to Senegal at this point, maybe CAF will need to back down on the decision.

Maybe they should weld a trophy like the one in that image and send to CAF . I don't know why CAF would expect them to return a trophy they won on the pitch. Well i confirmed from a sports journalist's page that Senegal Football Federation have appealed CAF's judgement in the Court of Abritration for sports so I'll be hoping for a fair judgement on Senegal, it would be unfair it they take a trophy Senegal laboured for and won fairly.

This was something I have find hard to believe so many time after reading the head line of everything the media where saying about this here but the funniest part was that this is not even Nigeria where such thing could even happen at once…to the extent where he was been knifepointed this was really a lot to believe at first when I saw the post…the question is why are this social media guys just looking for something important to do with there life than to just make shit post such as this one…

For me this whole issue is the worse way any team can actually win a trophy? The whole fun activity of winning the trophy is when the trophy is actually won on the field with all the emotions and joy of winning it not when you get to lose it and then after like two months the trophy is handed over to you because of your silly judgement that was done. CAF should have left the whole issue to slide and allow Senegal their trophy.

Sured, it's quite unfortunate for the Senegal 🇸🇳  players to leave the pitch during the match or the foul against them, instead they should wait a moment and see what the lucky of a football may help them in that match, but actually referee were blowing anyhow which I think it was the one of the factors that leads to all this issues, because I don't know maybe the referee was trying to help  Morocco in winning that particular match against Senegal in African Cup Of Nation (AFCON )This season, though it will serve as disciplined to other and also a lesson to learned.

It should have been the funniest joke when it comes to football, World trophy being handed to Argentina and 2 months later they gave it to France via email, it would have been a disaster and that would have been the end of football both clubs and country. I agree with your line of thought, if the house was burgled in Nigeria and the story of knifepoint was raised, I would have agreed. But I know that most house in the UK that is being burgled is being done whenever the owner of the house is not there and the issue of forcing him to release almost 500,000 pounds which is really an unfounded story for me. For such an amount, it's doesn't really get that easy to do a mobile transfer on emergency without suspicion from the Bank.

The truth is that Africa is talented, but the only lack what it takes to a match as a developed country and that is why everything streamed down to their leaders and the kind of mentality they use in the kind of government they run, it is high time that they have to vested more on technology advancement and increase more concentration on the personal skills some of their citizens have, so that they could help bring up their ideas and dreams to reality by fully concentrating on how they could boost the economic productivity for sustainability, there is nothing they cannot produce a pirate copy of, with such deal and determination, they could leave a transformed life and also improve their economy if the leaders say most of this talented young adults and help them.

If Senegal is going to raise the case with CAF then they are not going to give out the cup now but if CAF won them on any place they are going to judge them, then Senegal will not hesitate in giving them the trophy but whatever that would be resulted from this they will not designed any other cup apart from the one with the Senegal.

The inability of the organisation to respect the dignity of the competition is indicative of the prevailing bad governance in many sectors. In my opinion, it is important that we strictly select newly emerging leaders to bring back international confidence in us. Unless corruption is checked, the same will not be retraced and the spirit of sportsmanship of this continent is bound to be lost. You show how serious the necessary change is to rescue the success of football.

How about the idea of Senegal winning the cup, then doing their celebration only for CAF to return after 2 months or so to withdraw the title from Senegal and give it to Morrocco just because if probably the little bribe they received...So they may very well get suspended CAF particularly since this this their action of late isn't what we have ever heard or seen since the inception of football?  So giving out two trophy to two country don't have to be the only scenario where they can get suspension comes in... Why are some journalist this pathetic?
It's very bad that because they have nothing to write about, they goes further to spread falsehood on what never took place, and be expecting to sleep well at night. I actually don't understand what they stand to gain from this lie, but this shows how far some media personnel will go, just to make money.
My happiness about this is that the father of Alex iwobi has come out to debunk such pathetic story they just formulate in other to make money with,  and if their is anyway this false news can be investigated to it origin, and the culprit punished accordingly, it should be done without delay, so that it's going to serve as a lesson and a deterrence to those journalist that may want to do anything like this later in the future.

It's not only in Nigeria that crime happens, such thing could happen anywhere in the world as there is no city or village that is free from crime. We should just be happy that Alex Iwobi's father has debunked the rumours to be false and also saying that his son his fine and okay. I am not surprised with the false news of Alex Iwobi being robbed in England, because when some social media influencers don't see what to use and generate traffic on their pages they will just cook up a false news they know it can give them traffic on their pages. I think it high time government regulate thses social media influencers in order for them to stop sharing a false news to their followers.

It would be very disgraceful if CAF finally get through with this charade of a decision they are about to carry out against Senegal, though Senegal have officially launched their appeal at the CAS, but if their appeal is turned down then this will further degenerate to a lot of African nations boycotting the AFCON especially those from the west African region, I thought the new CAF president has come to elevate African football but what we are seeing now is just politics not football.

Even though the case of Iwobi is said not to be true by his father, it doesn't mean international football players are not being robbed before. They have, and some have had a series of attacks in their homes that made them lose a huge amount and many diamond rings and watches in their collection. Thank goodness, this is not the case of Iwobi

Thank God that the story is all roumour and has be confirmed to be a lie or jus one of those Media headlines, but the truth is that played should take extra caution when it comes to their personal security because there is this thing about players from the rest of the public as people who are rich, so there is this thing about players when ever they are seen so criminal minded people always look for ways to take money from them when the opportunity is there.



In the past we have seen how family members of players have been kidnapped like the father of Mikel Obi who was kidnapped about twice. Owobi should take extra caution to his personal security because one thing is there is this saying that in every rumor there may be elements of truth. Lots of people are no longer going to take the African cup of nation serious any longer due to what they just did recently. How will a country win a trophy publicly and after 2 months which everyone have forgotten about the competition, they are back to announce that their is a change in the winner of the competition. I don’t even think they going to do that, how are you going to give two trophy for one competition it doesn’t make any sense now. It’s better they just leave the trophy with Senegal, they are the rightful winner of the trophy, they should either punish them but they are the winner of the trophy.
