The Senegalese are in a tough group. Except for Iraq I don't see any team the Senegalese can win. Senegal cant win France or Norway. At least we saw it today. Iraq may come with a shocking surprise for Senegal as the both teams are yet to get a point. The  World cup isn't an easy competition. Iraq and Senegal need a must 3 point. With the number of games remaining in this group stage, Senegal don't seem to stand a chance.

Norway won 3-2 in their 2nd matchday against Senegal. Pedersen scored an opening goal of the game in the 43rd minute. Haaland did it again for his Nation he scored brace for Norway in the 48th and 58th minute. Meanwhile for Senegal Sarr scored a brace 53rd and added time of 2nd half 90+3.  Although Senegal dominated 58% possession but they didn't get what they wanted. Norway with 42% possession created 5 big chances, 2.20xG and 13 total shots. Senegal with 58% possession created 3 big chances,1.72xG and a total of 16 shots. Haaland was named as player of the match. France and Norway will play knockout stage games but Senegal and Iraq are eliminated from the WC26.

All African countries should be supporting Morocco because they’re the only hope that we have in this World Cup, they’re a very strong team

Why should we do that? I don’t understand this idea that African countries have to support each other in the World Cup. This doesn’t happen anywhere in the world, I don’t see the European or Asian teams supporting each other.  If Spain wins the World Cup, they won it for themselves not the continent. The same with Morocco, if they win the World Cup, the record will show that Morocco not Africa won the World Cup.

The perfect time for Africa country to win the world cup was 2010 when the tournament was hosted by West Africa but it did not happen and I don't expect it to happen any time soon.

First of all, the 2010 FIFA World Cup was not hosted by a West African country, the host that year was South Africa. Secondly, hosting a tournament doesn’t give you a better chance at winning the tournament. Sure, you get the advantage of playing at home with the most fans to support you in every game but asides that there isn’t really any advantage to it.

My point is that African teams need to improve so we as fans do not have to suffer this routine of calculating points and “supporting” other African teams just because our favorites lack quality.

There is no doubt that the German team won Ivory Coast 2-1, but trust me that game was a narrow escape by the German team, Ivory Coast held them down on a 1-1 draw not until extra time of play before Germany were lucky to score that goal. Even normal playing time, the ivorians showed a better strength in defence and attack, they only had poor finishing. This German team still hasn't shown that they have super tactics, though they will go pass the group stage, but am not expecting anything more, I could be wrong but that's what I observe.

The one team that I’ve watched that takes attacking a little seriously has being Morocco and they are handling themselves good. Germany was always going score a goal at some point, Ivory Coast should have found a way to enhance their chances by doubling their lead rather than defend. In the end, they didn’t just concede a goal but 2 goals and lost.

With this second loss to Norway and the goal deficit against the Senegalese side it's obvious that the Senegalese side are through with the World Cup and do not have any hopes of qualifying for the next rounds, I didn't believe that Senegal would perform the low in the World Cup  but it happened and all attention would  now be focused on the likes of Cabo Verde, Morocco, Ghana, Egypt and  the rest of the African teams who still have a chance to qualify.

Everyone’s expectation was just so high on Senegal, most people believe they going to go far in the World Cup. Senegal which we all have confidence in have played 2 matches already, and they have not been able to get even 1 point, they lost the two matches which they played. It’s surprising that they lost against Norway today again, honestly I was thinking they will be able to get a win today, but they disappointed most people.

They played so well in the last African cup of nations, so I was expecting them to play so well in the World Cup also, but their performance isn’t so good in the World Cup, I don’t really know what happen to them.

I don't know about their mistakes but I can relate to the fact that they should have scored a lot goals in that game but the issue was that I feel they were unlucky because sometimes it happens in football, you play every thing and then the results that should be backing it up to follow the performance isn't just coming and that's what I feel happen because if you are saying that they went back and sit down to defend then that is fine because it's still part of football tactics and for some iz works for them too.

The only hope of Senegal is winning Iraq to take third place in there group else nothing, I said it from the building that this world cup is full of surprise, Senegal performance in Africa cup of nation as defending champion not securing the least one point using draw with past two matches is shocking, is going to be a tough battle between them and Iraq seen the game as work over to Senegal is just under rating what football can yeild most time because both team have this game as their only chance and will not give room for lapses that will be regretted at last by any of them it's going to strong fight. Morocco position now in the world cup is more secure than that of the Senegal team, anything can happen even most of the country that are not football Nation show high level of strength to shock fans.

Ghana is making things difficult for the English team and I can say that they've done real good in the just concluded first half of the game. Ghana came into the game with a 5-4-1 formation, fully in a defensive spirit with a plan for a counter as a main goal hope. I guess they came for a draw tonight. England is seriously pushing and have made a total of 6 shots already but none on the target. The Ghana wall is so strong and not ready to allow Kane and his Arsenals to break into the 18 yard box.

Let's see how this second half will go but I must say that Ghana is making Africa proud already. After picking the entire 3 points in their first game, they're about to secure an automatic qualification tonight should they beat England. If Ghana scores first, it will be so difficult for England to break into the defence they will put up. Worthy of note is the arrival of Thomas Partey and starting his first game in this world cup. Second half has just started with a clear and equal opportunity for the bothe teams. England:0:0 Ghana.

Our AFCON champions could not defend us in the World Cup, i feel really bad for them. France is the only country i think Senegal should be fearful of, that doesn't mean they couldn't take France to a draw, this is football and both the best and worse can happen. Norway is a country i also expected Senegal to push ahead of, now we all confirm that Senegal is out of the World Cup.

Good question you asked him, i don't know why people keep giving excuses for these teams. Even if Senegal had easy teams in their group, would they have advanced without meeting one of these big teams? African teams should learn to face their fears just as DR Congo and Cape Verde did when they met top European countries namely Spain and Portugal. Senegal is one of the best teams in Africa, if they couldn't get a point against France what happened to them against Norway. Cape Verde is also in a difficult group that has Spain and Uruguay but they managed to earn a point from both teams. Senegal is a big disappointment to Africa, let's just say the truth and this makes me to believe that truly, Morocco remains the best in Africa. Senegal are just noisemakers.

Senegal was the African team I was expecting to go far in this World Cup but it's saddens me that Senegal World Cup Campaign has been cut short and they will be going back to Africa after the conclusion of the World Cup group stage matches. Senegal are better than the teams that was grouped alongside South Africa in group A, so I totally agree with you that Senegal would actually qualify to the next round of the World Cup if they had found themselves in South Africa's group.

The first-half performance of England was very poor, and the game does look like if Ghana will be able to get just one goal, like they will be able to win the game.

I would like the Ghanaians to take a bolder approach in this game and not sit back and invite press but take the game to the English side and force them to make unexpected errors because I'm not sure that England came into this game with expectations that Ghana was going to give them this much of a challenge.

It's France and Senegal that i also considered as the favorites to qualify in this group but unfortunately, Senegal have been suffering to win a match due to their poor performances. Senegal really played well in the last AFCON, and we know how challenging AFCON is, so i don't expect them to get eliminated easily in this world cup.

I'm not that happy with the way Senegal are performing because other European nation see them as a well performing team, but honestly they have not bring that out to prove that they are the Champion of Africa. Norway really deserve those victories because the way they are performing is absolutely very interesting, we all know Erling Haaland and how he used to score goals, I am not surprising him performing brilliantly because I expected it from him.

Well you said everyone I hope it also includes you to🤣 the fact was even me I was honestly surprised to see them at such levels, Senegal really showed what it means to be a well prepared country in this World Cup…by not playing well like i might just say this is just the start for them…but honestly they are really not going anywhere in this World Cup that just the easier truths that such be told to them…

Talking about the last AFCON i might say didn’t really have that much quality like thr but, I think I have come to understand the game of football so well that even teams that are not really formed can do better most time…i feel it just luck that control the game of football…

I read a lot of yours comment about the prestations of the africa teams in world cup, I'm agree with a lot but don't agree with others.
For example, Senegal do a good match against norway, I remember you thaht Haaland it's unstoppable for more defenders in the worl, probably koulibaly do some errors but complessively the team made a good match. Algeria don't play a good football with Jordan, they was very lucky because Jordan play a bad second part of the match and they can scored two goals. This evening Ghana make a good match against England, I remember to you thaht England it is one of the team favourite for the final winning of the world cup. Cape Verde do something of overthinking, 2 match and two draw with Spain (!!!) and Uruguay, and probably they advance to the next stage. Morocco it is a great team, do you watch Saibari?? Such a amazing player!!
