Africa nations has really impressed me a lot in this world cup, especially teams like Cape Verde (drawing Uruguay and Spain), south Africa(Finally qualifying against all odds), and lastly Morocco. I think Morocco is only team I feel will really go far in this world cup after the performance they displayed in their group stage. Especially against Brazil, it was a fantastic match.

Morocco has been doing so well in recent football that we ignore the achievements recently in trying to qualify for the next stage of the World Cup and everyone looks like it is a normal thing because of how much quality they have in their team.
The Moroccan side are best representative of Africa currently because the ability might think that I have the capability of getting even to the semi finals of the World Cup with how well they play in attacking and how well they defend. Ghana has been disappointing to me, maybe it is due to the injuries that they suffered to some players who could make a difference before the world cup started.

Morocco is not a mediocre team, they are equal to any team they meet in this world cup. For me I see it as a normal game for them and I won't be surprised watching them entire the final of this tournament. Their ball control is not at the African level and in all fairness, Morocco for me remains the most complete team in Africa with the confidence and fearlessness to face any team as long as Football concerned. Senegal is playing a struggling game and fighting to win and even about going into the next round as best loosers unlike Morocco.

Ghana is not much of a disappointment because they don't match the strength of Croatia in all fairness and securing a draw against England is not something easy so let's give them their flowers. If any team has disgraced the continent, it should be Tunisia who was conceding goals carelessly.

They had really stepped up because looking at the way they were performing, they really didn't meet the standard that we all thought they would provide and that's why I never really believe that would make it out of the group stages and again it was due to the first game they played against Mexico, I mean they were so bad that they got Red card in that game twice which is so crazy when you think about it and now they turned everything around and put up a brilliant show.

I was very surprised with their performance against Mexico because they were the team that qualified ahead of Nigeria in the world cup qualifying games, so I didn't expect them to be that bad against Mexico, but their improvement in their second and final group game that they won was few visible for all to see, including their haters. And that is how I am expecting them to improve the more and putting in a more better performance against the Canadian team that they will be facing in the round of 32 tomorrow night.

When Africa was given 10 slots in the World Cup, there are some persons who said that Africa should have fewer slots. But seeing how 9 out of 10 African teams that qualified for the World Cup advanced to the round of 32, I'm happy they made such milestone achievement and they have proved those folks that think Africa should have fewer slots wrong.

Yeah this was unexpected, from the beginning many wrote off South Africa and some other of these countries as they won’t make it into the knockout stage but they turned their fortunes around. I also think the World Cup provision of 32 teams in the round off made it possible for teams like Algeria and Senegal.

Now the hardest part of the tournament is the knockout round, they have to show that they belong on this stage atleast by delivering when it matters most.
It’ll be good to see atleast half of this number when the round is done.

Seriously, Africa countries put up a great show in this year world cup so far even against the top European countries.

With this draw, few of our brothers are likely not to make it to the round of sixteen due to the strong opponent they'll face in this round. The likes of Cape Verde, South Africa and DR Congo are the countries that I assume may likely have difficulty to advance. Argentina is the defending champions and the gap between Argentina and Cape Verde is so wide in every angle.

Belgium and Senegal stand a 50/50 chances. Belgium looks vulnerable now and likewise, Senegal camp is also destabilise now but they still match up well.

To be honest I was not expecting them to be nine in number they did very well and it is a good thing to see that African countries are now playing very well in the world cup, there were some countries that i was expecting them to go out but they struggled and they qualified for the next round in the world cup, it is not an easy fight for them however they should put more effort in this next stage they are going to because things are about to get more hard and every team right now will do everything possible to make sure that the remain or go to the next stage in the world cup, good luck to all of them.

Of course the African teams have been more than impressive in this World Cup, it's obvious that some of these African teams might go all the way to the semis if they continue to play with this pace, I think the Morrocans are the favourites amongst the African team and am tipping them to go all the way because they seem to be the only African side that possess what it takes to play against big teams in this World Cup, and we also saw them do the same in the last World cuyp against the likes of Portugal at Qatar in 2022.

They were just aiming to win or draw against Croatia in order for them to finish second position in group L and automatically qualify to the round of 32 but even as Croatia won them 2-1 they still made it to the round of 32. I'm very impressed with the kind of performance African teams have put in for this world cup. Now we have 9 African teams that will participate in this round of 32. I believe they can do much better because this is knockout stage and none of them will want to be kicked out.

Senegal need to improve their game, because their performance in the group stage wasn't what i expected from them, I'm expecting them to play like Morocco. This round of 32 will be very competitive for African teams because they will face tough opponents but I'm confident that Morocco team will go a long way in this tournament.

African countries impressed lots of people, because I never believed most of them  are even going to qualify from the group stage, I was thinking most of them are going to be kicked out of the group stage, but we going to see most of them play in the round of 32 which is really a nice one.
