Senegal would have won the match yesterday they were leading with two goals I don't know how come they draw the match and went to the extra time and lost, in 84 minutes they were already winning Belgium with two goals it is shameful that Senegal could not win the match even after leading with 2 goals, African teams are disappointing me what I was expecting is not what I'm seeing, I expected a team like Senegal to go far in the world cup especially since they are the champions of Africa but they messed up and bottled their win yesterday, I'm so angry at them but what has been done has been done, they should come back home.

Belgium football team performance was great against Senegal football team because they did back to back 3 goals in this match. Diarra was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 24 minutes and he gave a start to his team and after few minutes Sarr did second goal of the match and he did this goal at 51 minutes of the match. Lukaku was a person who did third goal of the match and he did this goal at 86 minutes and made a  match for his team. Tielemans was a match Winner of this match because he did back to back two goals in this match and he did second last goal of the match and he did this goal at 89 minutes of the match and after few minutes he did goal again in this match and that goal was at 125 minutes and that goal was at penalty.

The same goes with Ivory Coast who played everything but couldn't get to score in that game against Norway. Aliou Cissé has decided to take a break from national duty due to the defeat as well. African teams are still struggling with the mentality to play against European teams, this is why the modern Moroccan team feels they are not part of Africa cos they play like the Europeans with style, tactics and the mentality.

Senegal had no right losing that game yesterday. A lot of people might be blaming the coach, he made wrong decisions removing his best players from the team towards the end when there’s a bullish opponent striker, I think the players relaxed that it was over when it wasn’t and they paid the price.

Senegal is amongst the African teams I had great hope on that they’ll make it very far in this World Cup aside Morocco. When the game started and they got those goals, I was very impressed by their performance and I knew that they’ve already secured their place in the round of 16, but unfortunately I wasn’t suppose to start celebrating early just yet.

Everything changed in the last 10 minutes of the game and I think that Belgium will be super proud to have pulled off that performance and get to finish ahead of Senegal. This match is just amongst one of the many matches that gets one disappointed all through and will never find the main cause of the problem in the game that lead to the loss.

I agree with you, if that match ended in draw , South Africa would have been on their way to the Round of 16. If we even analyze that match properly we will notice that South Africa were looking for a draw. I was pretty proud of their defensive shape yesterday. But they were unfortunate to keep that score to the full time. At least they have broken a record by reaching a knockout phase in the world cup for the first time. That is something they should be proud off after starting the competition in a poor shape.

Many people were determined to see South Africa lose and not progress and I think we are all happy now. This is where we must tell ourselves the truth, South Africa needs to work more on their relationship with other African countries because with what transpired from the first day of their match, it was very obvious the level of outrage people have over the country and the national team by extension. With the way the country is situated, South Africa is supposed to be the country which accepts more diversity and multicultural representation but what we see is a different thing.

I was watching this game, and right in the first half when I saw the Senegalese players running so much on the field, I said to myself: "I hope these guys don't get too tired in the final minutes of the game," and I was right.

The Belgian coach made good substitutions, and it seems that European coaches have already realized the great weakness of African national teams. They run a lot throughout the first half, they put a lot of pressure on the opponent in the first half as if they were in a great hurry to win, and when the game reaches the second half, in the final minutes, they no longer have the same energy to run so much, they leave spaces in defense and concede goals.

They definitely have no right losing that game because let’s be honest if it’s actually quality and experience I think the Senegalese have it in abundance in their squad and going two goals ahead was actually something I was seriously expecting and after that they will dominate the game throughout which was what they were doing not until the manager and the technical crew made the biggest mistakes by switching that formation and tactics, this is the difference between Morocco and other countries. The Moroccans would have not change the formation out of fear they Would have continued playing their football like they know out to. Personally of all African countries that were eliminated this Senegalese own was more painful not because of their score line but because of the team they had which I believe can get them to at least the quarterfinals

Incredible match Belgium vs Senegal in the R032. In the first half Diarra scored the first goal in the 24th minute for Senegal. The first half ended 1-0. In the second half Sarr scored the 2nd goal in the 51th minute by Senegal. Senegal led 2-0 till the 85th minute. Lukaka scored the first goal in the 86th minute and equalized in the 89th minute by Tielemans. In 180 seconds tables turned and now the match is equalized. In the extra time Tielemans get a penalty and scored in the 120+5 minutes when foul committed inside the box.  At the last moment Senegal who was mentally ready to go in the RO16 was knocked at the last moment. Tielemans was named as player of the match for his brace. Now they will face the USA in the RO16.

I have noticed this thing about African teams. They tend to feel relaxed whenever they are winning a match forgetting that till ref blows the final whistle, anything can happen as long as the match is still very much active and running.

Morocco team are purposeful team whose vision is not undermine or easily suppressed by fellow team members, one of the most impressive thing about them is the courageous nature having that mindset of conquering considering all time as vital to push for a win unlike the Life of others African team who recently lost even at the point of leading but not courageous enough to conquer, the round of 16 Morocco meeting Canada team on July 4th may be another victory which may push them to quater final because if the eventually wins they will be of more strength to push ahead of their next match wishing them more strength.

As an African, I am even more disappointed and surprised at the same time because Senegal is one of the African teams I have high hopes on, aside Morocco, so I never expected them to later lose that game after leading for a large part of the game, but as it is, in our daily lives and realities, things can change to the better or to the worst very quick, and that was what happened to Senegal the moment they switched off, believing that they have already won.

Then there’s the decision to take Mané off even though he was tired, I don’t understand it, because he’s a player who can come up with something at any moment. In any case, Senegal are going out with their heads held high,

First of all, I think that the coaching crew of the Senegalese team is not up this level of football they were exposed to, that's why a decision like this was made. And secondly, the Senegalese team crashed out in a despicable and disappointing manner, so why would they be raising their head high if they can't deliver as expected?
They should bow down their head in shame because if it's not for the best loser positions that was available, they wouldn't have even made it to the round of 32.

The situation is bad for the African nations in the knockout stage. We are still in the beginning of it and we have more than half of them being disqualified. By the end of the group of 32, only Morocco will left?
Egypt will face Australia. That's not a hard match and has nothing to do with Morocco vs Netherlands for example. Same goes for Ghana, their opponent, Colombia, isn't the hardest one among the list.
Bookies are supporting Egypt and Colombia. Ghana odds are +8..

I woke up early to watch the game only to be saddened by what the Swiss were doing with our own Algerian team.

So, the question is: Is it that the coaches that handle the national teams in Africa are technically  low-class?

I think one of the reasons for this massive dropout is that the coaches are not exposed to this level of football qualification. To have been able to get to this level requires more expertise and experience to know what to do at the right time in defence of the goal already gotten, which puts them in the lead. This particular losing at the last minute after a long, tough time leading is what I have realised in the African teams whenever they are in the World Cup tournament. It has been a repeated scenario which most of the coaches have failed to realise. If you observe all the round 32 matches played by the African teams, they all dropped out in the same pattern. Morocco seems to be in the know about it, and they have been able to pass that stage, and that is why they were able to scale through the round of 32.

I am tired 😩, more African countries are losing in the round of 32. Will it be only Morocco that will qualify for the round of 16? Switzerland scored 2 goals when played with Algeria, the two goals were scored during first half. Algeria has been knocked out of the world cup, it is highly disappointing.

They were use to there play that's why but it didn't occur  to them that this Europeans and Americans doesn't give up easily the way our countries in Africa use to do if there were much goals and limited time on them. Actually in Senegal position I don't no how an over excitement would make them feel they have won Belgium, they were taught of different things on this tournament and not just about the strategy to score an opponent but also how they could protect the goals they have scored after they are leading so there is no way the Senegal 10 players will go back that Belgium will use 8 players to attack them and equalize, so actually it was a mathematics that was due for Senegal to use and control Belgium till the end and Belgium will not score any goal.
