Covid really opened our eyes to lots of things. I specifically knew that the way forward is online. I live in a country where the major jobs that are recognised are jobs with physical settings. But since covid 19 incident, alot changed. No one wants to be taken unawares anymore. This is not a topic for debate, online jobs are the future.  Currently, lots of agencies are pushing towards online, it is for everyone to adapt to the new world so they can fit in.

Covid did start the era but it will go lifelong and will also bring some more advancements into online job hunting. But with the ease of access, online job does bring variety of risks for the employer where they have to take extra precautionary measure to keep the company's data safe and also monitor the employees to make sure the workload is completed efficiently.

This might have made life easier for employees for it did make things a bit complicated for the employers. Employers will have to come up with something which is way more efficient to reduce their workload and automate the process.

As of now, every 10 individual working from home requires monitoring by one TL, QA's, Risk Management and a number of such higher ups. This will make the employer spend more for the same work which can be done efficiently from their offices. So the real question here is will employers afford to spend big just to provide convenience to the employees?

Online technology keeps rising, and so does with online job opportunities. Now I don't see this going to stop anymore so most likely, this is already the future type of employment. Big companies have already see to it to operate online because it's where the demand is, it's where the people is, it's where the customers are. And for that, online job opportunities as well continue to create resources for the people that are active online, that are mostly comfortable and skillful to work online. It's the trend now, and it's where the future should be.

Yes, I think it is very likely that this will happen because online jobs are now becoming a big part of global employment. With the rapid growth of the internet and technology, more and more people are now getting the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world. Even companies now prefer to hire online workers because it saves office costs and gives talents from different countries a chance to showcase their skills. Online jobs are very convenient for many people because they get the opportunity to choose when and where to work. However, not all work can be done online, some important work definitely requires a person to be physically present. On the other hand, it is also worth considering that some people are facing the challenge of unstable internet or lack of proper equipment, but with the help of technology, this problem is expected to decrease day by day. With the improvement of technology, it is quite certain that the potential of online jobs will continue to increase and it will also affect the way people around the world earn their living.

Yes, virtual jobs are the future of global employment. Previously it was very difficult to get jobs as the only source was to find local jobs and there was cut-throat competition for the limited seats as thousands would apply and only a few would be selected. But online jobs have made their way into hiring more efficiently as people can work from their home and can even apply for a job in a company located thousands of miles away. This makes things way lot easier for talented people who have the skills but never got a chance to move into a big city just for job hunting.

It will no longer be a phase because it’s so well integrated to the workplace already. Companies are able to regulate how many people are working in the office because some can work from home and some can be in the office. If anything it will continue to improve.

I have a friend who works from home he usually works around 10 hours, but he’s there, at home with his family. That makes things much easier. It might be a bit monotonous, but this way he saves the commute to the office, and he’s at home, in a family environment, which is the most important thing. It will definitely continue to improve  and it should  because it makes people’s work and lives easier.

The world is constantly changing, constantly evolving, and everything is changing with the rapid growth of the economy especially the internet. We must slowly adapt to keep up with the times. If you don't adapt you'll be left behind and this is also true in the world of work.

Many companies can now operate online, and many sources of income can now be found online. In fact with the development of the internet many offline stores have become deserted because many people have turned to marketplaces, making it easier for consumers. So it could be said that online work is the future of employment.

If they're implementing working from home and they are telling that their employees are more productive rather than going to an office, that's the sign that this is going to be a long term setup that everyone is going to like. Covid-19 has forced the entire world to move towards remote work &  as a result, it has become more efficient than expected for most people. Those who are adapting to skills such as coding, trading, design or freelancing are the ones who are currently succeeding. Of course, not all types of work can be done online, such as in the construction or healthcare sectors. However, most white collar jobs are now moving online or will soon. That is why I think we are not heading towards an era of ''going back to the office'' rather, we are currently in a laptop economy, which is growing

The world we live in is evolving and changing fast. more people are earning income from their phones and laptops like never before. We all experienced COVID and saw how it affected the economy. Yes companies had to close but few stood their ground due to the fact that they had online workers who could attend to we the buyers/consumers without being in an office.
People are now acuring skills such as coding, free lancing, web development, programming and many more. Not just because their sick and tired of office work but because technology has made it possible for anyone to work anywhere, some even anytime. and earn without stepping into an office.
But my question remains. Are online jobs the future of global employment, or you see it as a phase just passing by.

It is a phase like other phases but this phase has just started, and who knows in the future it might be replaced or upgraded to a new level because I just watched a reel in which a restaurant in the USA hired a receptionist from another country and that girl was doing her work from home. They installed a big TV there for customers to interact with her, and she was talking to them and taking money, I don't know how, and keeping records. I don't know the full procedure but I know it's not impossible.

With the current developments we have, I can surely say the era has just started and we are going to see more advancements, like doctors performing operations from another country, maybe from their home country, which is also online work. Engineers will be doing their jobs from another country while sitting in an office. The world is changing, pace up and look out for what they are doing and how.

Well, there is going to be basic universal income as they say and we'll see how the world will adapt if that comes. While there will be AI robots, I think that the continuation of the innovation will still include human intervention. And so with the online jobs, it will still be part of the future that we're talking. Human can't just settle with that and we'll still find a way to survive despite that possibility that you have mentioned. It will be hard for anyone that doesn't also adapt with the situation, it's inborn to us that we will have to adapt if the situation permits.

Yes online work is now not just an option, but a part of the real profession. Earlier many did not consider online work as something permanent, but now even big companies have understood that skilled people can work from anywhere. It is now very common for a Bangladeshi to provide services to clients in Europe or America while sitting at home. As long as the internet exists, it will continue to be so; online jobs benefit many companies, as they save a lot by choosing people from third-world countries to handle tasks that are 50% cheaper than hiring from their own country.
Online jobs will continue to thrive because many jobs will be created to fulfil market demand, which is why so many universities and colleges are offering courses suited to online work.

So yes, online jobs are now an industry and a growing industry. As long as the internet exists, there will be jobs you can do online.

I agree with you, but the availability of online jobs is not there for only third world countries or because there is more of cheap labour from third world countries, everybody from any part of the world can decide to work online job hence their is availability of the internet and the individual has the interest for such kind of jobs wether the pay is high or not. There are people from first world countries that work online work jobs that are still not paid higher, but are paid the same as their counterparts from other parts of the world is paid.

The online system has come to stay no doubt and during COVID time, I knew many who worked from home mostly a news station, the station had to communicate with viewers online with the help of modern technology. I think both online and outdoor job are the future of global employment firstly there’s no competition here instead people participate in both when they’re knowledgeable in computer programs etc. considering in this generation a lot of people don’t trust the technology system but, people in this category are quite old (analogue), learning online skills can help bail young ones from unemployment and the world employment system nowadays seems difficult.

Not many people work remotely. In my country, during COVID, there was a boom of remote works, every company moved to a remote model at first, then to a hybrid but recently, as I see people around me, the only way to work remotely is if you are a freelancer. Usually, people who are senior in their profession (web dev, UI/UX, graphics design and etc) work remotely and earn a very good money, especially those who are top talents on Upwork but for others, especially for beginners and mid-level IT personnel, online jobs are declining around me. The reality might be different in the USA and other countries but I share my personal experience.

I would love to say impacted the economy instead of "affected". COVID (or whatever that happened then) was a reason for anyone to further believe the maxim "every disappointment is a blessing in disguise." When COVID happened, a lot of us thought it was going to be the end of the world. Ironically, COVID opened a different frontier to the economy the world never expected.

That's true. The incident further strengthened the resolve of many who were already working and earning remotely from home. It became a thing, even in Africa. Most of us here are beneficiaries.

It's not a phase. It has come stay. The ease of earning from home can't be compared to the rigours of 9-5. So, I don't think those who've tasted online earnings will want to obliterate it and then revert to offline completely.

I agree with you. What really worries me is that many older people (over 50) barely know how to use a mobile phone, let alone anything else. From my own experience, i know it’s almost impossible to explain even simple things to older people, especially something a bit more complex. I mentioned this to connect to your point about how we need to adapt in order not to be left behind. Young people in particular should understand this  they have to keep up with everything, because even "skipping a lesson" can be fatal in this kind of work.

Yes the online job sector has really matured a lot now. Where it was considered uncertain earlier it has now become a permanent source of income. Since the time of Covid people have understood that work does not mean office if there is technology. I have also seen many young people now becoming self reliant by learning various online skills such as, graphic design programming or digital marketing. Still I think the need for direct work experience or teamwork will not disappear completely. In the future both online and offline sectors will merge together to create a balanced work environment.
