The world we live in is evolving and changing fast. more people are earning income from their phones and laptops like never before. We all experienced COVID and saw how it affected the economy. Yes companies had to close but few stood their ground due to the fact that they had online workers who could attend to we the buyers/consumers without being in an office. People are now acuring skills such as coding, free lancing, web development, programming and many more. Not just because their sick and tired of office work but because technology has made it possible for anyone to work anywhere, some even anytime. and earn without stepping into an office. But my question remains. Are online jobs the future of global employment, or you see it as a phase just passing by.
What we are seeing is not a temporary phase but a structural shift in how work is organized. COVID only accelerated a process that technology had already made possible, separating productivity from physical offices. While not every job can move online, a growing share of global employment will remain remote or digitally enabled because it reduces costs, expands access to alot of talents and skill, and gives workers more flexibility. The office will not disappear obviously, but it will no longer be the default center of work for alot of businesss.

Competition exists in the traditional job market as well, and it's even more intense. Because many employers often set requirements regarding degrees, experience, and age. This makes things more difficult for many people, and the competition is much fierfier than when working online. But ultimately, I agree with you, it will not be able to replace traditional office jobs.
What I like with this competition is that not all employers are requiring degrees and experiences. They also don't mind about the ages, at least this is for some companies. As long as you are confident that you can do the job, they'd hire you in a heart beat. But once you've failed their expectations then you have to be prepared for the consequences because they won't just waste their time and resource for nobody that have actually promised to deliver but have done nothing to contribute for the company. Online jobs or physical jobs, it's both applicable to that situation.

We are actually in an era where making money online is easier, we the citizens of country are all depends on technology, because the era we are now is all about technology, people cannot do without being in touch with phone or laptop, everything we do is based technologies, our younger ones opened up on technology and it has become a huge benefit for them, because in any aspects or Government parastater today, you would be easily employed when you are very good technological aspect. However to make money online is easier than making it physically.

Of course, experience, qualifications, and age are necessary criteria for doing a job, but the most important thing is how and at what level a person can perform the given task. In some fields, a person's skills are more important than many other required attributes, and therefore flexibility in the required qualifications may be possible.

After COVID, those who created and sold all sorts of e-courses made a lot of money—for example, e-courses on programming, web design, and generally all the remote computer work you described. But now, by 2026, this will be completely unpopular because the market is oversaturated with these courses, and as all buyers have long understood, employers don't care at all about diplomas from these courses, since they are issued by unqualified teachers and self-proclaimed mentors, who don't always have any formal education. Most appealing thing in this working is that there is no age of retirement as other traditional jobs have. There is no certain age limit I used to saw on social media that mostly students who are studying, side by side works online to cover their study expenses. But those who belongs to ages over than 50 also used this platform to meet their needs or avoid dependency. Remote work make easy way of earning for the womens. So it provide jobs opportunities for all group of people. That is great beauty of this work

The more sophisticated technology is, the greater the changes that will occur including in work because nowadays work does not only always lead to conventional things where we have to go in the morning and go home in the afternoon even though this is still common but we also cannot let go of conditions where work can now be done anywhere with technological sophistication.
We are still very likely to manage the work we do and it will make it easier because we can work anywhere and anytime. This may be the future of work but for me this is an innovation that allows it to be optional and makes us more comfortable because we can work wherever and whenever as long as the obligations in the work we do are fulfilled.
Indeed, the conventional work system with an office and we have to be in the office to work is very good but in the end doing it remotely and making it online as a form of efficiency is also not too bad to do.

The world we live in is evolving and changing fast. more people are earning income from their phones and laptops like never before. We all experienced COVID and saw how it affected the economy. Yes companies had to close but few stood their ground due to the fact that they had online workers who could attend to we the buyers/consumers without being in an office. People are now acuring skills such as coding, free lancing, web development, programming and many more. Not just because their sick and tired of office work but because technology has made it possible for anyone to work anywhere, some even anytime. and earn without stepping into an office. But my question remains. Are online jobs the future of global employment, or you see it as a phase just passing by.
There future? We are already at that point and have been for a while now. The digital economy is huge and can achieve lots, but there will always be a need or at least want for certain jobs that need to be office/warehouse/outdoors based. Psychical retail for example, people want to go out to places, do activities, test products in person and have things like haircuts or manicures. There is a massive leisure industry based around it and you cannot deliver those experiences online. Then there are trades like building, plumbing, electrical work and many other trades that will need people there on person.
