Why worry about fixed fight, when boxing is among one of the most corrupted sports, as it is very tied with gambling? One of the most highly paid sports, then no wonder some fights look suspicious. I think many understand that such fight is more show than a fight. AJ should be facing real heavyweights, real challenge, he has potential to get some belts on his waist again. If he really fights Jake, he would lose a lot of respect from boxing fans. Just imagine, if somehow Jake wins, that will be such a jump in his rating, that what, he would call champion next (who? Usyk from heavyweights or someone from cruiservers?)? If AJ wants to sell his name and record, better do it against professional boxers, who wants to build name and take everything serious.

P.S. Why his status on boxrec is inactive? He has silently retired from professional boxing?

With the huge amount of money involved, they might cook up a script that will satisfy every spectator. Still, I don't disregard the possibility of Joshua doing the thing that he did with Ngannou, where he shows no mercy in knocking out Francis Ngannou.
Just look at the stats; they show how huge Joshua's advantage is against Jake. If they take the fight seriously, I have Joshua winning by knockout and eventually ending Jake Paul's long run.

That's why it's called as an "entertainment fight" in the first place because everything is just for a show, and at the end of the day, both of them will make way more money than we can make in our whole lifetime. What's worse is that they'll earn it in just 36 minutes.

Like what I said in the past, it's a complete disappointment for both Joshua's boxing career and the whole boxing industry if he loses on this one. If it's a rigged fight then Joshua should win it. Some will not watch and that's fine, but there will be fans of both fighters that will watch it and there will always be people that will watch it because they want to get entertained. Whatever the case is, I just hope that Joshua will not lose on this one or else... it might be time for him to retire boxing already if that happens.

I don’t like these boxing matches made purely for betting and entertainment. Jake paul did the same thing before with mike tyson, and it felt like a complete circus.
Today, one betting site gave odds of 20.00 on jake paul, it even tempted me.

Yep, if it is a real fight, Joshua would most likely knock out Jake Paul, and yes, the fight is all about money. I mean, apart from Joshua getting a good sum of money from this fight, career-wise, there is no logical reason why he would fight an influencer boxer.

This news just popped up in my social media feed a few hours ago, and I believe there's some truth to the rumor that Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua could happen on December 19 in Miami. If it's not an exhibition match, this fight could draw massive viewership. Anthony Joshua likely won't need intense training for this bout, and hopefully, nothing unfortunate happens to Jake Paul.

How can this even be a non-exhibition fight? Look at the size difference. Joshua is huge. Are they really fighting at heavyweight or are they forcing Jake Paul into some lower division? Either way, even one division lower, Joshua can still put Jake Paul in serious trouble, worst case, he might even put his life in danger.

There’s a massive difference between a real champion and an exhibition entertainer. Sure, Jake Paul fought Tyson before, but Tyson was old already.
This one is different.. young, big, tall, and still an actual top-level heavyweight. Jake Paul has no chance here.

Both boxers are making the fight look like a serious or competitive one. Anthony told Jake that he can kill him if he can. When you compare the two fighters, it is clear that they are not compatible. If the fight is real, I expect Joshua to knock his opponent down in a minimum of four rounds. His record of 25 knockouts in 28 wins is proof of what he can do.

Honestly, these are one of the reason i have much attention in boxing fights anymore because most of the fights we see today are more of a fundraising fight.
No genuine and main event fight will shake everywhere got people talking, and fans fighting over the fighter they choose to win, just like we used to seeing in the prime time of Mike Tyson.
Todays fight are mostly all about the money, not the for lover, and the thrill of the sport.

Who else saw the message Tyson fury sent to Antony Joshua. The messenge was about Antony Joshua’s system that he could kill Jake Paul in their fight this weekend.
Tyson fury believes that Antony Joshua can not do all he says and that this fight is actually embarrassing and I concede to it.
A professional fighter should not be fighting Jake Paul but he too have fought an MMA fighter. Boxing heavy weight are happy that they can get almost or more money from a fight from a YouTuber and than they will get from another heavyweight fighter.

Apparently this fight is far more serious then the Tyson fight, its not exhibition but offically sanctioned by the Florida Athletic Commission with formal rules and the result recorded on the professional record of both fighters.
   A commentator said because of that he expects Jake Paul to suffer a serious injury from the weight disadvantage and his lack of ability to dodge or defend vs the heavier blows.
   If it were that serious the fight would be very short but Im not sure if people are sick of the extended fights and the joke moves Jake Paul has thrown towards the end, it is insulting to a professional & disrespectful.  I thought Tyson would lose his temper but to his financial advantage he played by those rules in place such as they are!

After watching the face 2 face last reveal, it’s now too obvious that it’s a fixed match, I just saw that Antony said Jake is not his enemy that they could possibly do business after the fight that, it’s just a ring game and their is life after boxing in the ring, I just concluded that AJ is in agreement with Jake, his not going to beat Jake in the last 2 rounds to the end of the fight. I’m so disappointed with this, the urge I had in the beginning just start diminishing.

Yeah, the Mike Tyson fight was 100% scripted. OgNasty believe this fight is not scripted and his argument makes sense to me. Anyhow the fight is about to start, I expected this thread to more active than it is now. My money is on Jake Paul to get knocked out in the second round.
