There are some friends who prefer to give suggestions to others rather than themselves. On the other hand, there are some who are too confident in themselves and do not have the courage to bet on themselves and try on others. As happened in your case. If someone is so confident, then of course he should bet for himself, but instead of doing that, he is giving suggestions to others. The main reason is that he does not have to lose if he loses. And I do not pay attention to such suggestions because I know that no one is sure to win in betting. If I get such a proposal, I ask him to do it for himself.

If I am not confident in myself on a particular gambling game, why should I think that it is best I give it out to someone else? Same game I am not confident in? Some people have audacity, or are they just scammers looking for foolish people to trick into investing in their fake games? If the gambler doesn't have money to try his game, he should let it go, than trying to transfer the risk on someone else.

I am just trying to picture in my mind what that kind of neighbour would look like; one of those irresponsible neighbours who will always look for one means or the other to get money from people around him because he doesn't have a reliable source of income. I've never had neighbors try to persuade me to place a bet that would bring me a big win. But I've heard stories of friends being offered something similar, and if I believe them, it really was a very good bet that could have brought me a big win. But I don't know what they base their choice on, maybe it's someone's inside information, maybe analysis, or something else but I would never decide to place a big bet based on anyone's advice.

That's a very nice approach to treat every game the same; as long as you don't put your confidence on it, everything will be fine, and you won't have to stake higher amounts like what the OP was describing. I also take games from others, but I take time to go through the game before I put my money on it, not like I stake on it blindly. We just have different ways we look at the games predicted by others.

People that persuade others into betting and assuring them that they’ll win big are just people that are not sure of themselves, they get to analyze a game and instead of them to give it a bold try, they rely on others to do that for them, I see that very ridiculous and something of big shame to be honest. As a gambler, if you’re scared of taking risk, then you’re not ready to win in the space. Don’t fall for those people, they’re just looking for ways to lure people into falling victims of which they don’t want to fall for and are deeply scared of. Please don’t fall for those things, they will only make you feel regretful if they don’t go as planned. Only work on making your own decisions and trying them out yourself.

It’s not always easy to overcome such things especially if you are surrounded with people that are into gambling, you will feel like going back especially when you heard that they win big money, you will be tempted to try again with a forced hope that this can be your year of breakthrough in the gambling aspect.

The same way you did is the right way to overcome such tentation, gambling is not by force but I don't know why someone wouldn't understand this. It always ends in scam, once someone happens to come and meet you to tell you that he has games and it's sure. People who have sure games don't go around advertising it to people. There is nothing certain about gambling, gambling is mainly for entertainment, by gambling with the hope of making money, the chances of losing all your money can increase manifold. You can gamble mainly for entertainment, it is relatively better to gamble with the money that you can only lose, by doing this your greed will be under control and thus you can maintain self-control over yourself. Your neighbor basically gave this advice to put you in danger so that you lose all your necessary money due to greed. I know how gambling works, so for that reason it is always very hard for someone to convince me to gamble in the name of a sure odd.in fact, right from the beginning of my gambling activities, I hardly believed in people predictions. You shouldn’t fall for this. I guess your friend is trying to give you fix game, which I don’t always believe in anything like fix game. It’s better you don’t even trust things like this, and if you are planning to take this kind of risk, then it’s better you do it with just little amount so that at the end you won’t end up regretting.

I think it is better to lose on your own decision than to lose on someone else's advice. This will at least help you understand why you lost that bet and what your mistakes were. If someone else gives advice and you somehow lose that bet, then the regret will increase a lot. Moreover, if someone else comes to give advice on their own, they must have some interest. A gambler should also be careful not to be deceived in any way. If someone gives me any advice on betting, I do not accept it. I try to give priority to my own analysis first.

People should only engage in gambling when they feel happy in the real world and have good financial conditions to do so, and only with amounts of money they can afford to lose. If they do this, they will have no reason to stop gambling later. It seems to me that your case is that of someone who gambled with an amount of money they couldn't afford to lose and had to stop gambling altogether. I think it's best that you don't gamble again.

I overcome these by not believing any of them, so there's no temptation. If i found out afterwards that they made money with it, i am happy for my friend, but i know for the fact that it could have gone other way and they would be crying over lost money.

I never ever would have audacity to give tips in trading or gambling and say that i am certain about something. Because only reason for anyone to be certain about something, is if they were involved with a fixed matches.
