brdb update

The avatar bug has been fixed. I assumed all avatars were in .png format, Now even .jpg and .jpeg files are displayed without errors.
I made a new addition to the tool, now you can also see the written posts on the profile page, the links go to Bitcointalk and if you click on the icon next to the title a post viewer opens directly on brdb

What did you mean by written posts? Like from the archive or directly from the forum? By any chance are you implying Bitlists' archive feature? Or did you simply mean it fetches the posts from BTT and then shows it inside brdb?

Out of curiosity, I tested the URL you provided, and changed the ID and it led me to another valid post. I'm assuming they weren't from your database right? But came from the forum..!

Man I keep forgetting things ! You remember the last time I said that the whole BRDb dashboard takes too much space and I cannot view it? Well it still exists, I still cannot see the graph, unless I decrease the page size to 80%.

I meant that, when a new post is published, the scraper continues to take the metadata it has taken up to now, it preserves post title, board id, post id and user id. This metadata is then aggregated together with the Merit present in the DB and when you want to see a specific post, like the one I shared, The tool sends a request to ninjastic.space and takes the body of the post and displays it. BRDb does not store the text of the post for space reasons, on Bitcointalk there are I believe over 70 million posts and it would take at least 150gb of space just for these posts, not to mention that it will only increase over time.

You're right, it had slipped my mind, I have to make that change, I hope I can do it tomorrow afternoon Italian time

As promised, I've added an emoji representing the country of the localboard in question next to the user's uid.

This is a step in a good direction, but I can't see flag or letters in userscript profiles.
Even if I click on BRDb score in same usercript nothing is shown in pop up window.
So only way for me to see something is to visit profile page on website, and that is time consuming.
I also saw mistakes about other profiles posted earlier, so maybe you should set minimum number of posts that would count someone as local member.

I just uploaded the new version that displays local board flag in the userscript, both in threads and within the userscript. Update the userscript to see the new features.

Nope it's still there! Not fixed*..,

By any chance is it due to my monitor (1920x1080)? Anyway, it's not a big deal really! I can always make the page smaller, or directly go to web BRDb for more detailed view! Maybe you can make it moveable/dragable across the screen? (if it's technically possible). Just a suggestion that you don't have to listen to.

Shit!!! My bad! I'm indeed on old version (1.1.1). I had auto updates on at greasyforks, so I thought I was on the latest build. Didn't you push the updates to greasyforks as well?

Ok I just installed 1.1.3 through BRDb, and it works, but the graphical error still exiests. Lol, I need bigger monitor! Can you send me an ss how it looks on your end?

Unfortunately, I can't send screenshots from my PC because it's a company PC and the screenshot shortcut is disabled for security reasons. I'll show you how to view it on a tablet. I have released version 1.1.4 anyway, try it and let me know if the problem still persists
The theme is a userscript I created, that icon with 23 written indicates the smerit I have available to send 😁 but it has many other potentialities, and also some bugs lol

Which browser are you using? It might be a browser-only display issue. If others are experiencing display issues by updating the tool, then it's either a browser issue, or your graphics card is the culprit. For now I'm just trying things out without actually knowing what the problem is.

I am facing the same problem and I am using Google Chrome browser from my site. And I have given the picture of my perspective below. I think the issue is with DPI. I have inspected and tested with iPhone 16 Pro Max. So there BRDB score bar was fully visible. But whenever I tried on my desktop then half of the score was visible and the other half was not visible.

Yes, it's working fine now. Now it's very easy to see through the scrolling bar. Thanks for the update.

Thank you for the fix. Updated it to v1.1.8 now, and it's works like a charm. And, to be honest, instead of that massive tooltip, this one feels more practical! Adding the scroll bar was a better idea! Doesn't take too much space, easy enough to see the rest of the content.

It's actually much better this way, especially since it works well even on small screens or at low resolutions. Okay, the 5060ti could never have been, but I don't know other people's hardware I was going by exclusions. Anyway, thanks to Royal Cap I discovered a bug that I didn't know existed since I made the brdb formula. Now that's fixed too. Virtually all users had a zero registration date, and many of the stats were incorrect. Now the problem is that there are over 3 million users lol
Little by little the scraper will sort them out
