Does anyone else feel unlucky every time they lose?

I don’t know if I’m overthinking, but every time I place a bet, say 5 games, and 2 lose, my first thought is always: “I’m just unlucky.”

I catch myself thinking, if I hadn’t played those games, it would’ve gone the other way.

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me with this weird mindset?

Gambling is either you win or you lose so there's nothing to worry about the game because you would never get the money back.

However, since we can not afford to get luck every time it's better to accept any outcome in good faith and move on without any regret, although it's a normal thing because winning makes the game more interesting than every other thing but that doesn't mean that we are not lucky anymore because already losing is part of the game.

First of all, the reality is that no body is lucky and still ends up losing a bet, well yeah, but let me emphasize on the fact that luck are off different types, almost every thing we do in life has their own good luck and bad luck, and speaking about gambling specifically, you can't possibly loose your bet if you are lucky, so it's absolutely normal to feel unlucky after losing because you actually lost because your are unlucky at that moment, and please don't forget that luck is dynamic, the fact you are unlucky now doesn't mean you won't be lucky again.

And also very important to know is that you being unlucky in or with gambling does not mean you will be lucky with everything else in your life at that moment, you are only unlucky in gambling at that moment, you could try your hands in trading and still win massively, this proves to us that everything we do in life has its own good and bad luck.

What you said above was just a representation of your disappointment when you lose. Just keep in your mind whenever you lose, you can afford to lose it. So when you lose your money, you will never disappointed by keep remember when you don't make such imstake to gamble at that game.

It's also wrong to assume you're the only one who feel it. In fact anyone else feels the same like what happened to you. Gambling is about how unluck or lucky you are. If you're thinking you're the only one who feel it, it's only you who feel it.

I had all other games checkmark only for Real Madrid to lose to Benfica, I was angry and not because I loss but the fact that I never saw that coming that Benfica were going to hold Real Madrid down to their throat that day.

There are other similar experiences that many gamblers has made money that I was never lucky and I was deeply pain about it but one thing with me. I don't stress on gambling loss, in fact I don't get angry because I loss since my stake is nothing to worry about but the potential money that I could have make is what pains me the most. Games will go the way they will, with or without your bets. You don't need to feel that way since you don't have any influence on the outcome of the games. I don't feel the same way when I place my bets since I know the outcome is beyond my control. Sometimes I feel that I would have changed my bets.

How about if a player decides to accept every result as a win? Little thoughts grow to giants, most strange thoughts from losses probably grow and begin to settle down as a perfect method to think about gmbling. You are not wrong having that weird mindset  because many gamblers have the same thing as you. We can't expects luck will comes every time we gamble because we can't predict when luck comes. We can just placing our bet after analyzing and hopes we can win. If we aren't win, we are unlucky so it is normal you say like that.

Next time you need to be careful placing your bet and don't have big expectations to wins. I have experienced placing 5 games and only 1 game win and the rest is lost. But I don't think much about it and consider that is normally happens in gambling.

Interestingly the pain is never always the loss of the money but it is the loss of the near victory. The near misses may be more psychologically unpleasant since your brain envisioned the reward. I think it's normal thinking. Because we all can't accept losing and so sometimes we should use very small amount of money. So that you can try to accept even if there is some loss. I know that no matter what game we play, there is no guarantee that we will win. So once in a while after getting a big win, bet on a small amount which is not a problem even if you lose. But repeated losers do not become addicts but those who are overly greedy only become addicted. For example:If you lose multiple times, you will automatically quit after getting frustrated. There is no chance of addiction here.

I think this is the normal reaction that we all feel whenever we feel unlucky with anything. The funny thing is, every time we feel lucky, we do not tell ourselves that we’re lucky but whenever we feel misfortune we tell ourselves that we’re unlucky.

It’s definitely a double-standard that most of us take for granted especially whenever we win. We only see the negative things in our bets as we discount most of the relatively small to huge wins that we experience.

Like you mentioned, gambling is a game of luck where the two sides of a coin can flip continuously against your favor. The problem is, we tend to gamble more in the process because we want to reverse this luck and call ourselves lucky by gambling again.

Yes of course" gamblers always feel unlucky when they lose, no gamber will be glad losing when they stake with high amount and got it lost. I'm using myself as an example whenever i took risk by staking with big amount it won't come the way i expected it i keep losing all times and this makes me feel unlucky. No human's view is perfect, almost the average looks strange.
The reason is, if I try opening a restaurant business, there will definitely be lots of profits, why should I open an online taxi business.
That's true in every person's view, if I place a bet on the opposite club, I'll definitely win, that's the lust in the human soul, no one is ever satisfied with what they have.

Your gambling is required in the game, you have to understand the game, there are winners and losers, you can't escape the fate of it all, accept what you should accept.

It’s obvious that if you lose means you’re unlucky since the outcome is not in your favor. Gambling is just based on luck which means it’s just lucky or unlucky on your result.

Having an acceptance to your unlucky is the top priority since there’s a time too that you are lucky when your bet won. It just balance based on the RTP of the game which you are playing in the long run.

The chance of winning bet to comes first is based on your luck but that doesn’t mean you will not later.

I’ve been like this before,  and it is simply about how our minds deals with losses. Blaming all your losses on bad luck is very easier than just accepting that betting is risky and a heart gamble. But that feeling is usually a longing to feel control over something that was never under control to begin with.

I’ve said  “I’m just unlucky”  a few times just to protect myself from admitting that outcome can be random and unpredictable. It is a human thing to stall time and imagine that if we had not placed those plenty bets,  then maybe things would have turned out differently.

I’ve come to the conclusion that losses are part of the risks that I choose to take,  and losing is common and it's not weird to feel that way.  What is key in this is feeling realistic,  and being realistic is better than emotions that are dictated by bad luck.

But of course, that's a general feeling; and knowing that winning bets is a luck thing. So, when it goes the other way in loss we expectedly feel unlucky. One also screams hurray when one's bet goes through into a win. However, there's something about gambling that makes people go back even after a loss. That's the faith thing. The belief that we can get lucky the next time, especially when we've seen or heard of those who hit jackpot.

Question OP is asking is rather controversial and obvious. Who would say that he is lucky if he loses? Isnt it obvious, if game involves randomness, whenever we lose, this means we havent passed successfully luck check. Other moment to discuss is should we feel anything after only few lost best? Should our mood or behavior change if we have lost only 2 out of 5 bets. That is so little. I would call it as a warm-up and wont pay much attention to results.

Having placing numbers of bet over ten slips and none enter, I don't think is unlucky but wrong options. I know sometimes I will play one  games with same options in all the slips. If time is not taking same options in all the slips will make you lose. But when placing bet with different options you will see that one or two slips will enter for you. Then, you are lucky not unlucky again.

If you hadn't played those games then you would neither lose nor win. Nothing will happen because you did not do anything. For me I only think I am unlucky if I really can't win even a single game. It is good to just accept that you may just be unlucky that day and don't overthink it too much.
